Chapter 402 - Battle

"Let me guess?"

Sha Qishan was stunned, the Martial Master's sealed body was widely-known as the Impermeable Body, and for one to extract the Yuan Shen out of their body was never heard of before. After all, Zhong Yue was an Inner Core Qi Pract.i.tioner who was two cultivation levels lower than the Martial Heavenly Master, any cultivator of a level higher could easily kill a cultivator who was one level lower than him, let alone two cultivation levels?

Bai Zhenbei could have penetrated through the Martial Heavenly Masters' Impermeable Body only because of the Bai Zhe Clan's knowledge in all of the races and arts in this world. And Bai Zhenbei himself was also a magnate, one with the required knowledge and prowess to do so.

However, even Bai Zhenbei have suffered a great deal of damage after performing the attack, fainting into a swoon.

But Zhong Yue did it with just one sword, suffering zero injuries while he battered Xia Zhongjin and Xia Zhongguang like two powerless children and breaking their Impermeable Bodies.

This was only possible by an Imminent Deity Bai Zhe Clan member, theoretically.

Thus, Sha Qishan had the thought that this Zhong Yue in front of him was not the human race Zhong Yue that he knew.

He had seen Zhong Yue's power, and although it was remarkable, being able to defeat one or two Heavenly Dharma Qi Pract.i.tioners as an Inner Core level cultivator, he was still nothing in the face of a True Spirit cultivator.

He was, after all, one of the Bai Zhe Clan, a race known for their all-encompa.s.sing knowledge. Just as Zhong Yue clashed with the two Marital Heavenly Masters, Zhong Yue broke the Impermeable Body not with sheer strength, but pure technique.

The smallest strength can be leveraged to deal the greatest damage. Such techniques were way more abstruse than what the Bai Zhe Clan used. Striking the center of balance and hitting on the core of the attacks to redirect the opponent's strengths back onto themselves ... this was unimaginable!

Sha Qishan was extremely cautious, he stared closely at Zhong Yue and said in a soft and low voice, "The real Zhong Shan Clan member is possessed by you. Who are you really? Why are you in his body?"

Zhong Yue strode toward Sha Qishan, and the Sea King started retreating back. Sha Qishan abruptly swung his sleeves, and the fishy odor rushed into their noses, and gloomy clouds filled the sky above. Totem patterns emerged within the clouds and formed a shark-faced giant that then punched down onto the ground!

Zhong Yue raised his hand up, the ray of sword light extended from the ground up to the sky, slas.h.i.+ng right through the shark-faced giant in the middle and the giant then faded completely.

Sha Qishan's eyes brightened up, he suddenly laughed and said, "So you are still in the Inner Core level? It is only your perceptiveness and skills that have been enhanced. You've blocked the last skill of mine, but can you break this?"

He sucked in the air like a whale and let out a deathly scream. A soundwave was then blasted out right at Zhong Yue!

The earth quaked violently, and those icy mountains and glaciers on the path then started crumbling and pulverized away. The sound wave that was shaped like a bell changed the landscape in just a single scream!

Unlike common skills, this was a sonic attack. Sha Qishan had found out that Zhong Yue's cultivation base was still weak and that it was only his attainments in the skills that allowed him to break the shark-faced giant. However, in the case of a sonic attack, where one could withstand it purely with their cultivation base, Zhong Yue's perception was helpless to counter such a skill.

Zhong Yue's greatest shackle was precisely his shallow cultivation base compared to the enemies he tended to face. Sha Qishan had been an Imminent Deity Qi Pract.i.tioner for a long time already. Even with his strength compromised by injuries, Zhong Yue was still no match for him!

Circles of totem patterns emerged around him as they formed a translucent bell, buzzing incessantly.

The totem patterns released a sound that seemed to hail from ancient times, and although it was not as ferocious as Sha Qishan's sonic attack, it had flawlessly defended him from the sonic attack.

Meanwhile, Zhong Yue swung his sword and dashed forward. Sha Qishan was shocked, and he raised a triangular-shaped peculiar saber. The Shark Fin Monster Saber slashed down to parry the incoming attack while his other hand had cast out various skills in just a few seconds!

The magnate's skills were incredibly terrifying. The glaciers and icy mountains shuddered, and cracks started to emerge. Eventually, some of them shattered into pieces to collapse completely!

All of a sudden, Xia Zhongjin and Xia Zhongguang suppressed their injuries, barely managing to drag their Yuan Shen back into their body. They forced themselves through sheer will and flew over to support Sha Qishan against Zhong Yue!

Despite the heavy injuries they were suffering, they still had their cultivation base. They gritted their teeth in the pains of their wounds, and their attacks were still powerful enough to kill Zhong Yue!

Three magnates had come together against Zhong Yue. Xia Zhongjin and Xia Zhongguang used their bodies as s.h.i.+elds, their legs as sabers and hands like spears and swords, engaging with Zhong Yue in a fast-paced, close-quarter battle while Sha Qishan stayed a distance away and lashed countless skills at him incessantly, and there was also the Shark Fin Monster Saber that struck at every other unexpected position!

The battle soon reached a fevering pitch, and every strike of the Martial Heavenly Masters caused the s.p.a.ce to tremble. Every move they made brought a round of rumbling thunder erupting around them as their shouts continued to grow louder!

Clearly, the two Martial Heavenly Masters had realized his weakness as well and began to take advantage of it by relentlessly attacking him with sonic attacks!

However, in order for the sonic attacks to take effect, they would have to break through Zhong Yue's defensive skill first.

Sha Qishan was also launching sonic attacks at Zhong Yue in the midst of the storm of skills!

But to their shock, despite everything they threw at him, the translucent bell that surrounded Zhong Yue was still there, completely unscathed and still seemingly impervious to any sonic attack that wanted to penetrate it.

It was now clear to them that the bell skill was something out of their estimation, not only had they seen such skills before, but even the supposedly all-knowing Bai Zhe Clan was clueless about it as well!

The three magnates were incensed at their failure to break through the bell, and their attacks turned wilder, launching out at a rate faster than the eyes could perceive.

The four of them moved around the ice field, breaking the glaciers away and altering the landscape of every place they cross.

The mountains pulverized, snows melted and waters vaporized. Blood painted all over the snowy white ice field, Sha Qishan was still fine, he was only launching skills from a distance away, but Zhong Yue, Xia Zhongjin, and Xia Zhongguang were not that lucky.

Zhong Yue was forced to engage the two Martial Heavenly Masters in close-quarter combat. He was taking the hits of two magnates directly through their strikes while wounds were created continuously on Xia Zhongjin and Xia Zhongguang's bodies by the Golden Feathery Peng Sword; palms, hands, arms, legs, chests and even their heads were injured!

However, the Martial Heavenly Masters were strong in the paths of the mortal body. Their life energies were vibrant, and these considerably minor wounds were far from taking their lives away.

However, to be injured to such a state by a mere Inner Core Qi Pract.i.tioner, the two Martial Heavenly Masters were starting to doubt their abilities.

On the other hand, Bai Canghai was stunned as he just watched in awe as the three of them continued exchanging blows while they flew toward the center of the North Barren, wreaking havoc wherever they flew past.

"You lots are too weak!" Zhong Yue's presumptuous laughter then sounded from the inside of the bell.

Bai Canghai stood dumbfoundedly, he then quickly recollected his thoughts and carried Bai Zhenbei on his back. Looking afar, Zhong Yue's Golden Peng Sword was incessantly thrusting out like a flash of a golden ray from the bell, bursting out various marvelous skills from the tip of the sword that created one wound after another on the two Martial Heavenly Masters' body.

While other than exchanging attacks with the two Martial Heavenly Masters, the golden sword was also breaking away the three magnates' skills in an unperturbed manner.

All of a sudden, Zhong Yue stopped moving, and he raised the Golden Peng Sword, and a rain of golden rays tumbled down on the three magnates. He had stopped retreating and stood firm. He faced squarely against the three magnates without running anymore.

The two Martial Heavenly Masters then let out a sky-trembling warcry while Sha Qishan was also filled in killing intent, casting the skills stronger and faster.

A hundred miles around them, Qi Pract.i.tioners donned in white robes appeared out of nowhere, and they were watching the battle in silence. None of them were not shocked, they were all filled in disbelief.

Even the few magnate Qi Pract.i.tioners were also in awe as they looked at the battle.

These white-robed Qi Pract.i.tioners were extremely quiet, and they surrounded the battlefield in the middle and watched it closely.

Bai Canghai saw them and was overjoyed, he quickly flew to an elder and gently placed Bai Zhenbei on the ground, he implored, "Senior Martial Uncle, teacher is severely wounded by them, he's been unconscious ever since…."

The elder he approached had a head of white hair and a face quite similar to Bai Zhenbei's. He laid his hands on Bai Zhenbei and inspected the wounds. He then took out a spirit herb that had three marvelously bright-red fruits. He picked one and fed it into Bei Zhenbei's mouth. He then said, "Relax, he is not going to die. Canghai, your teacher is unconscious. You will help him in circulating the Soul Remedy Spirit Fruit's energy the wounds in his body."

Bai Canghai then quickly said, "Senior Martial Uncle, my cultivation base is too weak, I'm afraid I cannot fully utilize the Soul Remedy Spirit Fruit's medicinal efficacies. I beg the senior martial uncle to do it!"

"No, I want to watch this battle."

The white-haired elder's eyes were lit up with a voracious light and a zeal for knowledge as he stared intently at the battle while mumbling to himself, "One who knows it all, will he be omnipotent … the thing that our Bai Zhe Clan has always been chasing is now seen in a young child … do not disturb me, nothing can stop me from watching this battle…."

Bai Canghai was bewildered, he answered, "But, senior martial uncle, teacher is your own brother…."

The white-haired elder then replied without even turning his head back, and he said, "Time will come after us sooner or later, it is everyone's destiny to die in the end. How can letting a brother die be more important than witnessing the greatest dream of the Bai Zhe Clan?"

In the middle of the battlefield, Sha Qishan's heart suddenly panged with alertness. He quickly noticed the many Qi Pract.i.tioners around them, and it nearly shocked the soul out of his body. He quickly flew up into the sky and rushed out away from the battlefield.

All of a sudden, a Bai Zhe Clan magnate appeared in front of him and stopped him down. He said, "Sea King Sha Qishan, please, there is no need to leave just yet. May Mister Sha please return to the battle. We are still enjoying the battle."

Fires of anger burned in Sha Qishan's eyes. He let out a loud roar, and an ocean was summoned in the sky out of thin air. It billowed above the ground as the Sea King plunged into the waters.

The other Bai Zhe Clan members quickly rushed over to stop him and plunged into the floating ocean to stop him down. But before they could even reach close enough, Sha Qishan split himself into many little sharks that swam away in all directions.

"Brothers of the Xia Clan, leave now!" The sharks then shouted in unison.

Xia Zhongjin and Xia Zhongguang then noticed the sudden change, they were all shocked with fear and quickly dashed out from the battlefield to escape. Then, rays of white light made beautiful arcs across the sky as the Bai Zhe Clan magnates surrounded the two Martial Heavenly Masters in the middle.

The white-haired elder then said justly, "Senior martial brothers of the Xia Clan, do you think you can leave after injuring my little brother?"

Bai Canghai was piqued in anger, and he shouted, "Senior martial uncle, now then you remember my teacher is your younger brother!"
