GOR Chapter 353 Part 1 Where Did He Get That?

When Chen Xiaolian reached the door, he saw one of the African soldiers raising the b.u.t.t of his rifle to slam down on Chen Xiaolian. He took one step back to dodge the incoming attack, reached out with his hand and pulled the African soldier to his chest into a reverse headlock. Next, he struck the soldier’s head. Without waiting for the soldier to drop down the floor, Chen Xiaolian grabbed the soldier’s rifle.

He charged out of the door and saw a crowd of people running around into the corridor. He also saw Zayad Jr. and his men making a turn into another corridor.

Chen Xiaolian gave chase but the soldiers in the rear guard noticed him. They raised their rifles and opened fire at him. Chen Xiaolian rapidly jumped toward a door at the side and pasted his body upon the door.

Tat tat tat…

Bullets rained down on the surface of the walls.

Chen Xiaolian waited quietly for the soldiers to finish their barrage of bullets instead of rus.h.i.+ng out blindly. When the bullets stopped, he crouched down and burst forward.

Before his feet landed on the floor, he had already raised his rifle to open fire at them!

Several African soldiers grunted before falling down.

Zayad Jr. who was running away heard the sounds of gunfire coming from behind him and he shouted. Several of his soldiers turned around and ran to the back, raising their firearms to shoot at Chen Xiaolian.

As for Zayad Jr., he howled furiously and led the rest of his men through the corridor and into an elevator.

The elevator was not heading up. Instead, it went down.

When the presidential palace was being built, an underground floor was built.

In the corridor, Chen Xiaolian was being held down by the suppression fire sent out by the African soldiers and was unable to rush out… although he had enhanced his body before, he was not Superman. He was hardly capable of shrugging off bullets and knives. If the bullets. .h.i.t him, he would still die.

He turned and saw that no one was coming through the other side of the corridor. Then, he gritted his teeth and summoned Garfield!

Three Four-eyed War Cats appeared, roaring loudly and instantly charging forward along the corridor. All three Garfield doppelgangers charged out at unbelievable speed and they sprinted forward along the walls!

Chen Xiaolian who was crouched down at the same spot heard a cry of shock followed by snarling sounds.

Then, he got up and rushed out.

When Chen Xiaolian had made his way to the corner of the corridor, he saw seven to eight corpses lying on the floor. Garfield’s offensive power was not something that these ordinary humans could hope to withstand.

Several of those African soldiers had died miserable deaths. Their bodies were torn open and their internal organs and blood stained the floor.

Chen Xiaolian endured the wave of nausea and summoned Garfield back into the system. Then, he ran forward until he reached the elevator.

The panel on the elevator showed that those fellows had headed down to an underground floor…

Chen Xiaolian desperately pressed the b.u.t.tons on the elevator. However, it became clear that the elevator had been locked down and could not be opened.

He cursed out and slung the rifle. Next, using both hands, he forced his fingers into the gap between the elevator doors and pushed…

After opening the elevator doors, the cables inside were exposed. Chen Xiaolian jumped inside, grabbed one of them and slid down the elevator shaft.

Chen Xiaolian landed on the top of the elevator and proceeded to use brute force to tear open the top part of the elevator. Then, he jumped down.

Walking out from the elevator, he saw a pa.s.sageway outside.

It was a concealed pa.s.sageway with cement walls and floor and metal pipes lined the walls. Faint sounds of footsteps could be heard some distance away.

Chen Xiaolian reached for the rifle and hastily gave chase.

The pa.s.sageway was very long, but Chen Xiaolian was able to quickly close the gap between them. In fact, he was already able to hear Zayad Jr.’s shouts.

Making his way round a corner, he saw a group of African soldiers that were at the rear. Chen Xiaolian showed no hesitation and opened fire at them and the bullets struck the soldiers. Two of them were carrying a box and when they fell, so too did the box. The contents of the box fell out on the floor to reveal gold, jewellery and the likes.

Zayad Jr. shouted out in succession. He was not exactly easy to deal with either as he pulled out a gun to shoot at Chen Xiaolian. At the same time, he shouted, “Kill him! Kill him! Kill him!”

Chen Xiaolian was suppressed and was forced to hide behind a series of metal pipes. Feeling furious, he simply pulled out an RPG from his Storage Watch.

When he was in Nigeria, this was the most expensive weapon that he had bought from Old Jack.

Unfortunately, there were only two warheads for it.

After equipping it, he took advantage of the period when the soldiers’ firepower had lessened to quickly emerge from his hiding spot.

When the African soldiers that were on the other side saw what Chen Xiaolian was carrying on his shoulder, they instantly felt their souls leaving their bodies. Ignoring Zayad Jr.’s shouts, they hastily tossed away their weapons and ran for it!

After having launched out the warhead, Chen Xiaolian quickly threw himself back behind the series of metal pipes…

Following a loud explosion, flames rose upward and the underground pa.s.sageway became overwhelmed by the searing heat and billowing smoke. Chen Xiaolian bent his body forward as he rushed forward, rifle in hand.

When he reached his destination, he found several corpses on the floor. Part of Zayad Jr.’s upper chest area was stained with blood and he struggled on the floor – he was quite lucky. Chen Xiaolian was not a professional soldier after all and the warhead he launched did not hit him. Instead, it had hit the wall beside. When the warhead exploded, Zayad Jr.’s trusted aides threw him down the floor and covered him.

Zayad Jr.’s injuries were not too severe and he was only stuck beneath some stone debris that came from the wall.

Using one hand, Chen Xiaolian pulled him up. Retrieving the gun in his holster, Chen Xiaolian inspected it.

It was actually a gold Desert Eagle.

This fellow sure knew how to enjoy life.

Chen Xiaolian sneered and took it for himself. Then, he pulled Zayad Jr. with him through the underground pa.s.sageway.

At the end of the underground pa.s.sageway was a fence. Outside the fence was a parking garage, which housed a Hummer!

Although it was a civilian model version and was incomplete, it was sufficient to shock Chen Xiaolian.

Other soldiers rushed out from the garage but Chen Xiaolian did not feel like dealing with them. He simply stepped into the Hummer and tossed Zayad Jr. on the front pa.s.senger seat. Then, sitting himself on the driver seat, he found the keys hanging beside.

After starting up the vehicle, he drove the Hummer and charged out!

What lay outside was the backyard of the presidential palace. They had crossed the street and there was only around 200 metres from here to the back door.

Clearly, the underground pa.s.sageway was made in order to make a getaway.

Zayad Jr. who was in the front pa.s.senger seat attempted to resist. After regaining his consciousness, he attempted to fight Chen Xiaolian and grab the steering wheel only to receive a punch to the face. The punch caused him to spray out blood and he dared not do anything after that.

“You move one more time and I will cut off your ears and nose.”

Chen Xiaolian gave him a cold glance and returned to driving.

The Hummer charged out the backdoor and into the street. It was not long before they had put some distance between them and the presidential palace.

In the streets behind them, more cars could be seen speeding out from the presidential palace – those belonged to the other guests. Since Zayad Jr. had escaped, the other soldiers in the presidential palace also ran off and there was no one left to stop the guests.

Observing the many cars speeding away, Chen Xiaolian looked around and found an alley. He drove the Hummer inside and turned off the engine. Then, he pulled out the gold Desert Eagle and pointed it at Zayad Jr.’s head.

“Where’s your father?”

Zayad Jr.’s pair of crafty eyes darted around…

Bang!

Chen Xiaolian had not hesitated. Adjusting the muzzle slightly, he shot Zayad Jr.’s arm!

This commander of the Kombian National Army screamed out miserably.

“I’ll ask you a second time, where is your father?” Chen Xiaolian asked with a cold gaze.

“… the army headquarters!” Zayad Jr. wailed out.

Bang!

Another shot!

This time, the bullet struck Zayad Jr. on his other arm.

“You are an idiot. But did you think I am too?” Chen Xiaolian sneered and said, “Your father is in the army headquarters? At a time like this?”

“I’ll talk, I’ll talk!” Seeing the muzzle of the gun pointed at his forehead, Zayad Jr. dared not lie anymore. “He is in the east side of the city! In a warehouse!”

“What warehouse?”

“… it, it is a storage warehouse used to store our family treasures,” said Zayad Jr. in a trembling voice.

“Location?”

“East side of the city, behind the clock tower. That place is a forbidden military area.”

Chen Xiaolian nodded his head and he determined that Zayad Jr. did not have the guts to lie again this time.

“What’s up with tonight?”

Chen Xiaolian cast a frosty look at him. The sounds of explosions and gunfire could be heard coming some distance away from their spot.

“… the rebel army, the rebel army had attacked.” There was a very ugly expression on Zayad Jr.’s face.

“Attacked?” Chen Xiaolian took a deep breath and said, “You had better tell me what is going on as quickly as possible. Just what had transpired? My patience is limited and if you cannot make me understand, then you’ll die.”

Zayad Jr. became fl.u.s.tered.

However, even though he had no ability to back up his rank as the commander of the Kombian National Army, he was still quite the eloquent fellow.

It did not require long for him to give Chen Xiaolian a full account of what was happening.

The problem came from the rebels.

Chen Xiaolian’s trip to Kombia happened at the same time when a rebellion was breaking out.

To be more precise, several tribes that were opposed to Zayad’s rule had secretly colluded with some commanding officers of the Kombian National Army to enact a coup to overthrow Zayad.

Rebellions such as this had happened many times before in the past decade. However, Zayad had more soldiers in his army. Thus, he would be able to successfully stamp down the rebellion each time it broke out.

In the beginning, no one had actually viewed this rebellion seriously.

However, something different happened in this rebellion.

The army that Zayad sent to crush the rebel army was actually defeated by the rebel army!

That was the reason why Chen Xiaolian would encountered the besiegement of Lin Leyan’s group by the rebel soldiers.

Additionally, the losses sustained by Zayad’s army in this defeat were far heavier than they had expected!

The rebel army had initiated an ambush at a certain location, killing off at least 800 soldiers of the Kombian National Army that Zayad sent out and capturing nearly 1,000 soldiers. They also seized various firearms, adding over 1,000 small arms, vehicle and ammunition into their a.r.s.enal.

It had to be noted that the entire Kombian National Army only had around 10,000 soldiers.

Zayad held the rank of commander-in-chief of the army, but in truth he only had 3,000 soldiers under him. The others were split between a dozen other factions.

All this time, Zayad had depended on the fact that his faction was the strongest to hold control over Kombia’s political affairs. This time however, he had been badly beaten!

His army was severely weakened. When that happened, even more soldiers turned coat and went to join the rebel army.

The rebel army wasted no time in launching another swift offensive – attack Kabuka!

GOR Chapter 353 Part 2 Where Did He Get That?

Afternoon today, the rebel army’s vanguard forces had actually made their way to the outskirts of Kabuka. They had confronted Zayad’s army several times as they did.

Zayad understood then that the winds of change had arrived. Truth be told, he had already made the arrangements to run away.

Summoning all the wealthy people of Kabuka tonight was just Zayad’s attempt to get more money before scooting off.

Casting a line one last time before leaving.

Unexpectedly, the rate at which the rebel army took down his outer defences was faster than expected.

Before he could even conclude his looting of the people in the hall, the rebel army had attacked their way into Kabuka City.

At that moment, Zayad was leading a team of guard soldiers and standing guard at a storage warehouse waiting for his son’s return… the storage warehouse was where he kept the a.s.sets acc.u.mulated through his ten plus years of dictators.h.i.+p in Kombia.

He had a fleet of vehicles ready for his getaway.

Chen Xiaolian looked on as Zayad Jr. spilled everything – while he might still be concealing something, at the very least, he had gotten the information he wanted.

Chen Xiaolian showed no hesitation and punched Zayad Jr., rendering him unconscious. Then, he threw him out into the street.

There was no need to dirty his hands to kill this fellow.

When this fellow woke up, he would either die in the hands of the rebel soldiers or the angry civilians of Kabuka.

Chen Xiaolian drove the Hummer, speeding his way to the east side.

The warehouse that Zayad Jr. had mentioned was not too far away from the presidential palace.

Kabuka was not a big place to begin with. However, when Chen Xiaolian reached the place, he saw a military fortress-like building at the end of the street. He was unable to stop himself from frowning.

The outer area of the building was a checkpoint manned by guard soldiers. There were sandbags on both sides. He could even see a machine gun outfitted on the left side.

Beyond the barbed wires serving as fence, he could see two loaded trucks and a team of soldiers.

Chen Xiaolian took a deep breath.

Zayad nervously checked his watch.

The sounds of gunfire from the distance seemed to be getting closer, causing his heart to throb madly.

After ruling for over 10 years, Zayad was very clear on the fact that he had many enemies. There were countless blood debts!

Now that his army had been defeated, his end would not be a good one!

Zayad was quite the ruthless fellow. He had 12 wives and tens of children, yet he had not called any of them. The only one he took a fancy to was Zayad Jr. – he was his favourite son and was made commander of the army. He was also Zayad’s intended heir.

Even if he was to run away, he must take this sole capable son along.

Living abroad as an exile… he would find a Western country and live the life of an exile. With the amount of money that he had saved up all these years, he would still be able to live a rich and luxurious life.

Who knows? If some changes were to happen in Kombia, he might be able to find some Western powers to hold a discussion with them. If the conditions were right, then he might have the chance to return some day.

At this moment however, there were still no news from the presidential palace, causing Zayad to feel increasingly uneasy!

The soldiers outside were busy as the two trucks were not fully loaded yet – there were many high-value a.s.sets here. This matter caused a twinge of regret to form within Zayad’s heart.

If he’d known this would happen, he would have s.h.i.+pped them out early on and placed them somewhere overseas.

Looking at the time once more, Zayad made up his mind!

Whatever, it’s too late now. I’m not waiting anymore!

He stood up, moved away from the window and the room and into the yard.

“Stop moving the things! Everyone get on and be on alert. We’ll leave now!”

Zayad whispered to the military officer who was standing beside him.

At that moment… a loud noise interrupted them!

A Hummer was rus.h.i.+ng toward them from the outside!

They were all able to recognize the Hummer – the only one to own that vehicle was the presidential palace! Thus, when the Hummer approached, the soldiers in the checkpoint thought that it was their commander, Zayad Jr. returning. Only when they saw that the Hummer was not decelerating did they feel that something was wrong.

But by then, it was already too late!

The Hummer slammed into the fence encircling the yard and the fellow manning the machine gun was sent flying together with the sand bags before he could open fire!

The soldiers on both sides then reacted and they opened fire.

Even though the bullets struck the surface of the Hummer, the Hummer did not slow down. It continued charging forward into the yard and slammed headfirst into one of the trucks!

The Hummer was filled with bullet holes and one of the officers ordered them to stop firing. He raised his rifle, walked over and opened the door to see that there was no one in the driver seat. The only thing there was a stick fixed on top of the throttle.

He was momentarily stunned before turning around to shout something.

It was at that moment that Chen Xiaolian’s body rolled out from below the Hummer!

Chen Xiaolian raised the firearm in his hand and the officer’s head was blown right off!

At the same time, he tossed out two things…

Flash bombs!

The light from the flash bombs burst out in the middle of the dark night and the surrounding soldiers screamed out. Chen Xiaolian then unleashed a hail of bullets and heard someone scream out as they fell.

Chen Xiaolian showed no hesitation as he executed his next move… he rolled himself back to the bottom part of the Hummer!

The guard soldiers had their sight taken away by the flash bombs. However, they were still able to hear. They heard the sound of gunfire and their own men screaming wretchedly…

These Kombian soldiers who were far from what one would call elite soldiers fell into a state of disorder.

A considerable number of them simply shouted as they opened fire in every direction – since they could not see the enemy, they will first act to preserve their own lives!

It was unknown just who had opened fire first. However, once someone opened fire, the others quickly followed suit and chaos broke out!

The yard was filled with soldiers clutching their eyes and shooting around in a frenzy. At that moment, all of them were thinking of self-preservation!

After rolling into the bottom part of the Hummer, Chen Xiaolian listened to the sounds of gunfire around him. There were also unending screams and cries.

He waited for more than ten seconds.

The disorderly sounds of gunfire continued for a while but it gradually turned sporadic. Chen Xiaolian emerged from the back of the Hummer and saw that the guard soldiers were all acting like headless flies. He took advantage of the darkness of the night and reached for the back of the truck. Opening the door, he slipped inside.

Broom!

After the truck was started up, it charged forward like a wild beast and slammed into the doors of the warehouse!

With a loud booming sound, the truck made its way up the steps. At the back of the truck, many boxes rolled out and fell open, revealing some gold bars inside them.

Chen Xiaolian drove the truck through the warehouse doors, causing both the doors and the surrounding walls to be smashed inside.

There were several soldiers surrounding an African who was running back inside.

Chen Xiaolian saw Zayad!

He looked the same as his pictures. Average height, burly, slightly obese, a droopy nose and thick lips!

For an instant, Chen Xiaolian saw Zayad turn around to look right at him!

Zayad’s expression… was very strange!

There were anger, resentment, panic and also a trace of something… odd.

That oddity … the expression seemed to be saying: As expected, it has come!

After looking at him, Zayad suddenly turned and ran furiously! He ran so fast he actually dashed out from his soldier’s circle of protection. He dashed with all his might toward one of the doors in the warehouse…

Chen Xiaolian jumped out of the truck. Using the truck for cover, he opened fire to take down several of the guard soldiers as he took in his surroundings. Then, he quickly ran forward in pursuit of Zayad!

By now, Zayad’s soldiers no longer cared about loyalty. The big fight outside and the high number of casualties inside the warehouse caused no small number of the soldiers to disperse and desert. Chen Xiaolian finished off several of those soldiers as he ran forward and finally reached the door.

It was an iron fence!

After pulling open the iron fence, Chen Xiaolian was shocked.

The amount of s.p.a.ce in this portion of the warehouse was very big!

At the end of the room, Zayad was moving into… an iron box.

How should he put it? That box was like one of those big s.h.i.+pping containers.

Chen Xiaolian watched as Zayad ran inside and sneered… running inside there, did he think there was any place he could run to?

He slowed his pace down and replaced his magazine with a fresh one.

When there were less than 10 metres between him and the container…

An odd sound came from inside the container.

It was… the sound of metal being twisted!

The creaking sounds continued and a metal arm emerged from the torn out part of the container walls! It utterly ripped that part of the wall down! Next, something that was around three metres in height was revealed…

It was at that moment that Chen Xiaolian suddenly stopped in his tracks!

There was utter shock on his face! His pair of eyes stared incredulously at that ‘thing’!

“F**K!” Chen Xiaolian swore.

The thing standing before him was surprisingly…

A human-sized mech!!!

More accurately, it was a type that Chen Xiaolian had seen back in Zero City, the small II-Model Sentinel mech!

In this p.i.s.s poor country of Kombia that had no air force, tanks or even heavy weapons…

This d.a.m.ned Zayad…

He actually got his hands on a b.l.o.o.d.y mech?!

Where did he get that from?

As Chen Xiaolian was standing in shock, the Sentinel mech had charged forward! At the same time, it lifted its left arm. The muzzle of the Vulcan auto cannon outfitted upon that arm was pointed at him!

Chen Xiaolian did not hesitate to exert every ounce of his strength to leap to the left!

Bang bang bang bang…

Intense sounds of auto cannon fire rang out and gun flash sprouted forth as the auto cannon bullets shot out furiously!

Chen Xiaolian felt his scalp go numb!

Just now, he felt as though some of the bullets had grazed past his body!

If the bullets fired out by this Vulcan auto cannon had struck him, his body would have been torn apart!

He leapt out with all his might, covering a distance of at least three to five metres. When he landed, he hastily rolled himself away!

Chen Xiaolian then rushed to the back of a column within the warehouse and exhaled. However, he soon heard mechanical footsteps approaching from behind!

A booming sound erupted! An iron fist slammed its way through the column and Chen Xiaolian was forced to rapidly retreat!

Next, the Sentinel mech burst forward, breaking through the column as it charged forward!

GOR Chapter 354 System Quest?

“d.a.m.n it!” Chen Xiaolian swore as he quickly backed up while firing at the Sentinel mech.

However, his rifle was merely a light firearm and sparks on the surface of the mech were the only effects created by the bullets he sent out.

In just one breath, Chen Xiaolian emptied his clip on the mech. Even as he did so, he was hastily retreating out of the iron gate.

Next, he tossed the rifle away and pulled out the RPG!

Using the wall for cover, he quickly put in a warhead into the RPG. This was his last warhead!

Chen Xiaolian gasped for breath and heard the rapid approach of the mech through the wall!

Despite its size, the three-metre Sentinel mech was hardly slow.

Chen Xiaolian took a deep breath and promptly dashed out. Putting his one knee on the ground, he got into position and aimed the RPG at the mech…

Xiu!

The final warhead shot out!

The warhead struck the mech right on its front steel plate and the intense explosion enveloped the Sentinel mech’s body in flames, forcing it to stagger back a little…

However, the mech immediately moved forward once more!

The sound of engine turbines could be heard coming from the back side of the mech and it suddenly leapt up to quickly soar forward!

Son of a b.i.t.c.h!

Chen Xiaolian swore again!

It really is a product from Zero City! That is not something that a normal RPG can deal with!

Looking at the incoming mech, Chen Xiaolian felt hatred and rage swelling up within him. He found himself unable to care for anything else; he gestured with his palm and summoned the Sword in the Stone into his hand!

Boom!

The mech arrived before Chen Xiaolian! Its mechanical arm was raised and a one-metre metal blade slid out from a groove upon its wrist. Then, it viciously slashed down!

Chen Xiaolian raised the Sword in the Stone to block the attack. The resulting impact and sound caused his body to start!

Even his enhanced body was unable to take on the mechanical might of the mech! The floor beneath Chen Xiaolian released cracking sounds.

Even the Sword in the Stone that he was holding was affected by the recoil!

Chen Xiaolian staggered back and saw the Sentinel mech raising its left arm. There on its arm, a muzzle emerged.

Seeing the flat-shaped muzzle, Chen Xiaolian felt his soul escaping his body!

He recognized this weapon!

That was an energy-tier weapon!

As Chen Xiaolian was cursing his own bad luck, the mech suddenly lowered its left arm. Then, it raised its right arm, the one with the metal blade, and rushed forward once more.

He… he’s not going to use the energy-tier weapon and go for a melee instead?

Without waiting for Chen Xiaolian to respond, it sent forth a vertical slash. This strike sent both Chen Xiaolian and his sword flying!

“d.a.m.n it!” The impact forced Chen Xiaolian to roll on the floor before getting up once more, blood trickling down his mouth.

He coughed out a little and small amounts of blood accompanied each cough. Chen Xiaolian found that he was having a hard time breathing.

The three-metre Sentinel mech engaged its turbines and charged forward once more! The momentum from the thrust and the power of the mech was not something that Chen Xiaolian could deal with.

This thing… where did he get it?

This is not a G.o.d d.a.m.ned instance dungeon! This is the real world!

How could there be a mech in the real world?

HOW?!

Seeing the mech charging closer, Chen Xiaolian stopped hesitating and shouted, “Bai Qi! Come out!”

…

As the Sentinel mech was about to descend upon Chen Xiaolian, a white light shone! There was a faint silhouette within the white light. Suddenly, a cold sword beam shot out and the Sentinel mech was sent flying backward!

Even while it was flying through the air, it was clear that the Sentinel mech’s head and neck area had been ruined!

Bai Qi’s body moved like a shadow!

The mech finally fell down, smas.h.i.+ng down on one of the walls of the warehouse before falling into the pile of debris. As for Bai Qi, he quickly charged forward with ghost like ferocity!

Sword up, sword down!

Bai Qi landed with one foot on the chest part of the mech. His seemingly small body stood before the mech and his sword plunged into the neck area of the mech!

In that instant, when the blade of the sword pierced through the steel plate of the mech, Bai Qi’s body suddenly shone with a silvery light!

Piercing sword!

Sounds of sparks rang out and the blade of the sword was pulled out; a metal head flew up into the air.

Bai Qi harrumphed and leapt into the air. He then landed between Chen Xiaolian and the mech, standing in a very lofty posture.

However, on his face, his eyebrows had suddenly creased together.

“Inorganic object?”

Chen Xiaolian was surprised at his actions. Then, he recollected himself and realized that what Bai Qi meant was: Why did he not get any life force after killing off the mech?

Of course, the mech was not a living being to begin with. It was just a mechanical object.

The Sentinel mech that had lost its head flailed about as it lay upon the debris by the wall a few times. Sparks scattered out from the cut off neck area and crackling sounds could be heard.

Its two hands moved to prop itself up and was barely able to get into a seating position. Bai Qi watched, his eyebrows raised. Then, he lifted up the short sword in his hand and aimed it at the mech.

As the Sentinel mech quaked and staggered, a clump of silvery light condensed itself upon Bai Qi’s blade!

At that moment, a sound suddenly came from within the mech.
