“From what we could see on Old Zhang’s monitor, we realized you walked to the window and looked out three times before the van even arrived at Feng Ping station. That led me to believe that you knew something from the start, like perhaps that Secret Services would be coming through our doors!” Zhao Yu said, pointing at the monitor while talking to Li Jing.

“Oh? Really?” Li Jing frowned. “You decided that I was suspicious just because I looked outside a couple of times?”

“Of course not,” Zhao Yu answered. “Xiao Hang had definitely done his homework since he dared to come here and question us. But for him to question your ident.i.ty when you stood up for me seemed… a bit unreasonable! Leader Li, the most important thing here is that I was someone who grew up orchestrating scams like this,” Zhao Yu said, patting his chest proudly. “While it looked like Xiao Hang and you were at odds, there was a certain fakeness to it. Don’t steal my lines!” Zhao Yu said with a straight face. “Leader Li, at this point, shouldn’t you be honestly telling us which cave you crawled out of and what sort of demon witch you are? Let me guess, you’re probably in a higher position than Xiao Hang, but only slightly. Looks like I was right when I first tried to find out more about you from Ma Runkui. It was not a mistake at all, the new team leader was supposed to be Li Xiaoqiang and Li Xiaoqiang was supposed to be male!”

“But after I saw you, I called Ma Runkui again and he changed what he said. He suddenly said that Li Xiaoqiang is the same as Li Jing. Did you know Ma Runkui works in Foreign Affairs? If kidnapping Cui Lizhu was an order, then Xiao Hang would have gotten approval from his superiors. Therefore, the person calling him was probably not one of his superiors! ”

I’ve worked with everyone here except for you, so naturally, I began to doubt you! I don’t know if you guys planned poorly, or Xiao Hang had acted on his own and ruined your plans. When Zhao Yu finished, the entire room fell silent and a few of the special agent’s faces turned purple. “Ha… hahaha!” After a few seconds of silence, Li Jing suddenly shrugged her shoulders and let out an evil laugh. “Great, you’re really great! As expected from a G.o.dly detective, you’re different from the others! Fine, I’ll admit defeat this time. I took you too lightly!”

“Thanks for the compliments!” Zhao Yu said, clenching his fist. He had a sunken expression on his face as he asked her seriously, “So, Leader Li, will you show us your true colors? Who are you really and what are you doing all of this for?”

“My name really is Li Jing!” she said calmly, crossing her arms. “There is also a real Li Xiaoqiang in the Criminal Investigation Foreign Affairs office, but that’s my brother. You were right, my brother was originally supposed to lead the team, but I was swapped in at the last minute!”

“Oh, then you’re…” Zhao Yu started to speak, but realized he shouldn’t be taking the limelight and quickly shut up.

“I am the real leader of Secret Services. Xiao Hang is my boyfriend and the second in command! F*ck… Zhao Yu thought. He and the other members of his team couldn’t help but let out a gasp when she said this.

“But after infiltrating your team, everything I saw and heard was nothing short of disappointing!” Li Jing said suddenly, taunting and admonis.h.i.+ng them. “Your work system, att.i.tudes, abilities, and various other aspects are all atrocious! I’m thoroughly dissatisfied with everything! Especially you, the obstinate leader!” Li Jin said, glaring at Zhao Yu. “Your management is a mess and your work style is simple, old fas.h.i.+oned, and way too individualistic.”

“You picked these inexperienced police officers to handle this case over the other plentiful, excellent resources in the Criminal Investigation Office. What were you thinking?” Li Jin continued her tirade. “And even though I’m only here as a figurehead, I still hold the t.i.tle of leader. When you speak to me you should at least pretend that you’re having a discussion. But you don’t even seem to pay any attention to me and treat me like an outsider!”

“And finally!” At this point, Li Jing stared closely at Cui Lizhu, who was standing a distance away. “What I cannot tolerate the most is that you actually allowed the thief king Tao Xiang’s daughter to be a part of this team!”

“What?!” Cui Lizhu was stunned and put down Xiao Hang’s phone.

“As far as I can remember, the Criminal Investigation Department has never done something this absurd before!” Li Jing said. “All this was done as an exception for you, a fresh G.o.dly detective. I’m truly bewildered. Do you really not know how serious the stakes are or is your brain really just full of rust?”

“Cui Lizhu is the daughter of the thief king Tao Xiang. She’s a law-flouting thief who has committed countless crimes. How could you let such a person join this team? How is she going to become a fair and impartial police officer?” Li Jing asked, clearly agitated. “I have sufficient evidence to show that Tao Xiang had other accomplices, and yet you put Cui Lizhu in such an important position. Are you not afraid that confidential information will be leaked??

“Also, in this case, the treasure is obviously connected to Tao Xiang!” Li Jing growled loudly. “But you act indifferent about it and allow Cui Lizhu to partic.i.p.ate in the investigation. This is simply ridiculous! Do you still need me to tell you what to do? After Tao Xiang was arrested, Cui Lizhu didn’t reveal a single one of Tao Xiang’s accomplices. She obviously didn’t surrender a lot of items either. These things may be crucial to the case, and you guys behave like you’re some sort of family!”

“You…” Cui Lizhu shouted. She was so angry her brows were deeply furrowed. “That’s some toxic slander! I don’t know anything about Tao Xiang!”

“What a joke!” Li Jing said, still adamant. “Have you all forgotten that Cui Lizhu’s uncle is Li Fei, who committed the Headless Female Corpse crimes? Her biological parents were also thieves, not to mention her father, the king of them all, Tao Xiang. How can you trust anyone with a family background like hers?”

“You b*tch! I’m going to fight it out with you!” Cui Lizhu shouted, shaking with anger. She looked as though she was going to charge at Li Jing.

“Wait!” Zhao Yu reached out and gestured. Liu Zhanbing and Xu Hai quickly stopped her. Then, Zhao Yu turned to Li Jing and quietly said, “So that’s the reason you got Xiao Hang to plan the kidnapping?”
