Tempest of the Stellar War Chapter 1226 - Master Black Charcoal

The third match of the quarter-finals had been the most pa.s.sionate and most cruel since the start of the compet.i.tion. Saruman Snake had advanced to the semi-finals.

Aragorn had died in the battle and w.a.n.g Zheng had gone down too. The two main forces of Saruman Snake were both seriously injured. According to the schedule, it was highly unlikely that they could be featured in the semi-finals. As for w.a.n.g Zheng, he was facing the same problem.

Saruman Snake and the Soulless battle team were very evenly matched in terms of strength. This was an internecine battle. But Saruman Snake had nonetheless come out victorious.

However, Lin Huiyin could not bring herself to be happy. Aside from Ouyang Ruoliu and the rest, even she could see that that w.a.n.g Zheng did not stand even the slightest chance. It was already a miracle to have won this battle. Huiyin could not help but be worried about what was to come.

The three close friends knew what the little princess was worried about. But they simply did not have any idea what to do. They knew right from the start that going against Kashwen was never a good idea. It was unimaginable that w.a.n.g Zheng had come this far.

w.a.n.g Zheng and the rest received the best treatment. All the three of them had sustained serious injuries, with Zhang Shan’s injuries being the most serious. It was almost near death for him. Had it not been for the timely first aid rendered by Montero the Arbiter, Zhang Shan would have taken his last breath. But with his current situation, Zhang Shan’s time in this SIG was over.

w.a.n.g Zheng was in a deep coma. This was a defense mechanism for the body to protect itself. He had not fully mastered the control of the atomic explosion. Thus, it was a great burden for the body. The last strike was a huge gamble too. However, his problem now was how he was going to deal with the rest of the battles. This was his biggest worry now.

w.a.n.g Zheng’s coma was just his physical body. But spiritually, he clearly understood what was going on. His spirit was in a magical cube.

Right now, not many members from Saruman Snake were able to fight. The semi-finals were only eleven days away. Physically, his right arm could heal by then, but it was unlikely to be able to withstand any heavy blows. The line-up was also in disarray. It was truly a difficult task to face Atlantis.

The biggest problem was that if they had their full force, he believed that they might still stand a fighting chance. However, under current circ.u.mstances, how could they face the tough spiritual powers and rune tactics of Atlantis?

Black Charcoal smiled and made a funny face in front of w.a.n.g Zheng. But w.a.n.g Zheng could not smile.

“Black Charcoal, I’m worried,” said w.a.n.g Zheng. “Why did you bring me here? It might be better if you have let me sleep for a while.”

In here, w.a.n.g Zheng was separated from the pressure of the outside world for a while. “Do you also think that I can’t last till the end ?”

w.a.n.g Zheng said with a smile. His tiredness and struggles came mainly spiritually; he did not feel much physically. There were advantages and disadvantages of being taken away by Bonehead.

Black Charcoal nodded his head seriously. “Given the current situation, there was no way of winning. The spiritual power of the Atlanteans is above B, or even higher. This is not something that Saruman Snake can withstand currently.”

w.a.n.g Zheng smiled bitterly. “You don’t have to be so candid. Even if we can’t win, we still have to fight. There comes a time where there is just no retreating.”

Black Charcoal nodded. “I have been observing. The shortcomings of the Atlanteans are very obvious. It isn’t difficult to defeat them.”

w.a.n.g Zheng opened his mouth. Both Black Charcoal and Bonehead had the same problem – they like to talk big, and it was scary big.

“Are you going to fight for us? That would be fantastic!” asked w.a.n.g Zheng. Black Charcoal had finally come to the realization. Finally, he was of some use, even if it was possession. Get rid of these people. Kashawen had the support of Atlantis, he had Black Charcoal!

Black Charcoal shook his head. “Personally, I have no strength. I’m just a mark.”

“Geesh … are you kidding me?!” w.a.n.g Zheng exclaimed helplessly. He was already feeling troubled and yet this guy was still toying with him. In the Rubik’s Cube, w.a.n.g Zheng need not try to be strong. Everyone had to relax for a while. Here, there was no need for pretense.

“The Runic Matrix is actually a very simple use of spiritual power. To put it plainly, it is somewhat special. But if you learn to master it, your advantage in combat skills could easily overwhelm the Atlanteans,” said Black Charcoal.

w.a.n.g Zheng smiled. “Yep, are you going to teach me?” This was simple. d.a.m.n it.

Black Charcoal nodded. “Sure. The current acc.u.mulated battling energy could open up a time s.p.a.ce continuum. Maybe about a month. I think it is more than enough time for you to master the Runic Matrix.”

w.a.n.g Zheng sprung up immediately. “Black Charcoal, you’re finally of some use!”

To the outside world, w.a.n.g Zheng had been in a coma all this time, but inside the Rubik’s Cube, w.a.n.g Zheng had started a brand-new training!

But what the h.e.l.l! It was not as easy as Black Charcoal had made it out to be. This was especially so when Black Charcoal’s innocent-looking eyes seemed to question why he was stupid!

Brother, are you that stupid???

In the far away Oracle Star, Meng Tian and the rest had finally found some hope. The Holy City, a place where many people came and went. The streets were paved with stone, with stone houses lined on both sides of the streets. It was like a tourist attraction of an ancient civilisation. It was almost similar to the Saint World. As such, Meng Tian had thought these were all illusions. She even thought that she was being controlled by someone.

However, the atmospheric heaviness that hung among the people on the streets, the distance of the defences, and the burnt grounds that could be seen everywhere were all silent narratives of the chaotic occurrences here. These were tell-tale signs that this was real and it was not as comfortable and merry as the Saint World.

In front of a three-story stone building, Meng Tian was negotiating with a black man. Both parties had a team behind them as warnings. The premise of any transactions here was the ability to terrorise the opponents – naked but within the rules of the powers.

After days of adjustments and investigations, and paying high prices for information, they finally found the Holy City. Everything seemed to have become clearer. Meng Tian had also become more composed. They had been embodied in a huge conspiracy. The enemy was strong and frightening.

From the information that they had gathered, this area is known as “Oracle”. Area size, unknown. Furthermore, ninety percent of the area was primitive zones uninhabitable for humans. No one had tried to cross it and there was no need to.

The Oracle provided the prototype for some of the scenes in the Saint World.

The Holy City was the relative centre of the safety zone of the Island of Death. Other than some hardcore psychotic individuals, most people chose to live in the Holy City. Battling was allowed in the Holy City, but not lawless killing; otherwise, punishments would be imposed. Rules were obviously the absolute ruling power. It was useless to even attempt to resist.

However, if Meng Tian and the rest wanted asylum here, they would need to double the time as payment. Every second in the camp site would make the countdown on the trackers move two seconds faster.

The negotiation for the price had reached the final stage. Meng Tian’s composure had given her the upper hand now.

The shadows had gone unnoticed by everyone, and a pair of steely cold eyes were staring at Meng Tian with occasional flashes of fluctuations…

“An hour for a piece. That’s the lowest I can go, Captain Meng. Even we have to fight for them,” said the burly-built black man bitterly, and shaking his head. No more negotiating. He had stated his base limit.

“Deal.” Meng Tian did not insist further. This was a price that was lower than she had expected. It was worth it.
