“And how should I address the pretty lady?” Yan Xiaosu said.

“Natalie, Mr Yan.” Natalie answered, and the resumed standing quietly beside Jasper.

“Natalie is a top economics student in Lya Sphinx’s capital, and also a pillar in our organization. She’s also one of the people responsible for the inspection this time round. As for me, I’m just here to play.” Jasper laughed.

“Keke, Mr Jasper, I think we might not have met under the most cordial of circ.u.mstances the last time.” Yan Xiaosu mildly replied.

Jasper was unfazed, instead unleas.h.i.+ng a brilliant smile. “Brother Yan, I remember a proverb from Earth. You won’t know someone unless you fight them. Brother Yan is indeed one to hide his true ability. I was a fool.”

Saying such things left Yan Xiaosu in a bad position to press the issue. Such an adroit conversationalist was difficult to pin down.

“Alright, then I’ll leave Lan Ling to rest, and go with you to play!” Yan Xiaosu said.

Jasper secretly wished he could give him a couple of kicks. With anyone else, he might think the person was faking it. But seeing Lan Ling’s expression in the great hall, such a matter was indeed plausible.

And the more the other party expressed an unwillingness to cooperate, the more chance there was.

Everything else aside, if he could build good relations with the other t.i.ta people through him, this would be the best deal.

After leaving the room, Jasper suddenly asked. “What do you think?”

Natalie considered it for a while. “Lecherous, but not stupid. He has secrets with the t.i.ta people that outsiders don’t understand. That’s impressive.”

Jasper nodded, a glimmer of a smile on his face. The returns this time round could be unexpectedly high. He could also prove himself to the family, especially to those in the business opposed to him, and those stodgy old men.

The next day, Jasper had already changed into hunting gear, and Natalie had also taken off her professional clothes. Jasper shrugged irritably. “Brother Yan, your opinion.”

Yan Xiaosu collected back his eyes from the beauties. “Not much of an issue. Go prepare. I’ll take care of it.”

“Haha, good! Then we’ll go ahead to prepare.”

They parked their mecha outside, and entered the great hall to finish the proceedings, and to procure some equipment.

Yan Xiaosu rubbed his nose. D*mn, he had simply played for time. If his act failed, things could turn sour real quick.

The only way was to contact Lan Ling, to see if she could help him out of this mess. Yan Xiaosu was not really here to play, but had simply smelled the opportunity. But although this bunch of guys had a superior att.i.tude, they knew what they were doing. Jasper was playing him, and not the other way round.

“Lan Ling, so sorry to bother you. But there’s something I have to bother you about. I wonder if it’s convenient.” Yan Xiaosu did not hesitate. At least, based on his relations.h.i.+p with w.a.n.g Zheng, he asked directly.

Lan Ling was surprised, but nodded. “That’s nothing. I’ll send a couple of people over from my bodyguard contingent.”

At this moment a huge voice rang out. Rara Durai was present.

Rara Durai had some impression of Yan Xiaosu. They had met previously. He was familiar with Ye Zisu, and this fatty must be Ada’s other friend.
