The second night, Heaven did not know whether he should laugh or cry as he had never met such an opponent before. In fact, there were several aspects that he felt that he was lacking compared to w.a.n.g Zheng, and he was just like an amateur. w.a.n.g Zheng was careful in his planning and execution of tactics, and was full of determination to do well. To him, danger was like a stimulant that pushed him forward, and Heaven, being an Earth Grade expert, had ended up becoming his training partner.

Under the moonlight, the figure at the tree top was full of confidence. Heaven was using all his means in his pursuit. He, whom was in full force, had shown his true capabilities and there were several instances whereby w.a.n.g Zheng was nearly hit by Heaven’s attacks.

Heaven was endangering his life, it was completely different from earlier on when he seemed to have the upper hand against w.a.n.g Zheng.

The second night pa.s.sed.

At the Governor’s Office, as time pa.s.sed by, the ma.s.ses were getting a little anxious. How could it be that there were no updates about their battle at this point of time? The long wait was tormenting.

Mu Sen and Lan Ling had other tasks to complete, they had to come out. Ai Xiaolu went to find Uncle Luo, but she also knew that it would be too late even if she went now, as they all had no idea where w.a.n.g Zheng was.

“Uncle Luo, is the information from the Family reliable?” Ai Xiaolu asked.

Luo Quan laughed and said, “Well, usually there will be no mistakes. Heaven’s, birth name Tang Tianzhe. He was enrolled into the Elite Academy, and was one of the well-known and popular figures in school. His wood element of the Five Minor Elements were outstanding. When he was in Xuan Cla.s.s 1, he was selected to join the actual battle in the deep abyss, notably one of the main figures that the Academy was nurturing. But there was an accident in the deep abyss, where twenty eight of their warriors had lost their lives. To top it off, two of them who perished were his cla.s.smates. The military court had sentenced him to twenty years imprisonment, but he had escaped while on escort, and later became the professional killer Heaven.

Ai Xiaolu frowned, “And so they let someone like him go just like that?”

Luo Quan laughed, “Well, there was something strange about it. From our investigations, there was another version of the incident, but of course, there was no physical evidence provided to substantiate it. It was actually an error made by a commander but the commander had a strong background and hence he could not take responsibility for such a fatal error. Thus, they needed a scapegoat as a cover up.”

And what happened next needed no elaboration. The sole survivor, Tang Tianzhe, did not have any background. Although he was outstanding in terms of his capabilities, but in the Elite Academy it wouldn’t make much of a difference with his absence. Of course, although they had pa.s.sed a sentence of twenty years, they were intending to release him after seven or eight years. But who would have known that he would escape? And he progressed to Earth Grade to everyone’s surprise.

Snow Li and the others were not concerned about this, “Uncle Luo, so what you’re trying to say is that, Heaven did not kill w.a.n.g Zheng?”

Luo Quan shook his head. Evidently, Snow Li was too naive. To them, life and death was not their utmost concern, and killing was not the main focus of their battle.

“What I’m saying is that, you all might have belittled w.a.n.g Zheng. If Heaven’s experience is real, and him calling w.a.n.g Zheng out is not a mission, then it must be for some other reasons. In my opinion, w.a.n.g Zheng might have a chance of winning.”

Luo Quan said, but actually he was just trying to comfort Ai Xiaolu. The girls were feeling so torn, but there was nothing they could do about it. Well, youngsters like them still had plenty to see and experience for themselves.

In the forest, w.a.n.g Zheng and Heaven had already entered their third day of battle. The two of them finally had a few instances where they exchanged moves in close proximity, and both of them got injured as well. But in reality, w.a.n.g Zheng had wanted to intensify the attacks even more. He could clearly feel that Heaven, although injured, still had the upper hand of the current situation. But w.a.n.g Zheng could feel that Heaven’s stamina and other aspects were weakening as time pa.s.sed by. And with the help of Primordial Regression Technique, w.a.n.g Zheng was able to maintain his current state reasonably well. As for his willpower and determination, as he had had it worse when tortured by Bonehead, this was nothing compared to it.

Similarly, Heaven had a different feeling. After several exchanges, he had realized that w.a.n.g Zheng was like a machine that did not know what was fatigue. The pain and hards.h.i.+p was something that he had never thought of, and he thought that by having such an experience, he would not have any flaws. But he was wrong. The moment he stood in comparison to w.a.n.g Zheng, it seemed like the one in front of him was even more invincible. Heaven was getting a little curious about this young lad, just how did he train to become what he was today.

The third night, the roles had changed and Heaven had no choice but to take on the role of the defender. This was because he had understood, w.a.n.g Zheng was completely unaffected even in the night, and it was feared that he might have some form of night vision ability. And hence, w.a.n.g Zheng became the hunter, and Heaven became the prey.

w.a.n.g Zheng had launched a series of attacks consecutively. And throughout the night, he had maintained a high intensity level of hara.s.sment attacks. It was fierce, and non-stop, but w.a.n.g Zheng did not make use of his advantage to launch a full-scale attack.

All the way till daybreak.

This was the fourth day of their battle, and as the sunlight shone on the forest, Heaven knew, his doomsday had come.

There were many ways to kill someone. One way was to strike a deadly blow, while another possible way was to torture. And that was the most terrifying method. During the three days of confrontation with w.a.n.g Zheng, Heaven had already figured it out that he had lost completely. The opponent had already seen through him, and he had made a mistake from the start. For someone like w.a.n.g Zheng who had the strength of the Xuan Grade dare to come forth, it meant that he was already more than prepared to have a showdown with Heaven.

With the relapse of Heaven’s old injury on his hand, his stamina was depleting even more quickly. Even if he was from the Earth Grade, he was a human being after all. One would feel pain when he is injured, and Heaven knew that his body was already burning, and he could not keep up with the opponent’s movements.

The moment the sunlight shone, a shadow appeared suddenly. And Heaven realized that he had not reacted to it, and his body could not keep up with his cognitive movements anymore.

His whole body shook, and it was the same feeling that he had experienced before. That time, he looked at his comrades, watching them collapse in front of his eyes one after another. Although they had began with steady movements and tactics, they ended up falling into the Zerg’s trap. Actually he should have fought till death together with them, but he escaped.

If one could turn back time, Heaven would rather die at the deep abyss, for he would not be left alone with the company of his comrades, but now…

Ye Zisu did not sleep for the whole night, and Yan Xiaosu made some snacks, “Hey, you should eat a little. If my big boss comes back and realizes that you’ve fallen ill, he’ll definitely come after me.”

Zisu shook her head, “I have no appet.i.te. It’s been four days already, what should we do?”

Yan Xiaosu sighed, “No news mean good news. I think, if the killer had succeeded, it would not be so quiet now. Mu Sen has already sent a search team out, but we only have an estimate geographical location of w.a.n.g Zheng, hence it would be difficult to locate him.”

Ye Zisu smiled bitterly, ‘Sometimes I wonder, what’s the point of fighting so hard?”

Yan Xiaosu laughed, “Ideals, fantasy, or perhaps just unwilling to be alone. But this is exactly what me and big boss want to achieve. If I die in t.i.tat.i.tan Star, I would be extremely contented. In one’s lifetime, if one does not accomplish something, there would be no difference whether he is alive or dead. But don’t worry, based on my understanding of w.a.n.g Zheng, there is a high chance of him winning. It is just that the process would be a challenging one, considering the opponent is relatively strong.”

Ye Zisu nodded her head, and barely ate a little. Lie Xin and Achilles weren’t that sentimental, but they were rather jealous. This was because in this generation, there would not be such feelings and relations.h.i.+ps that exist around them. If they died one day, would there be anyone who would be worried for them?

Achilles started to ponder, and it seemed like there was no one. Like Lie Xin, if Lie Guang had died, would others care about her?

At this point, the door swung open and Lan Ling rushed in, “Found, found!!!”

“Found? What???” Yan Xiaosu was tensed up, “You mean, w.a.n.g Zheng has been found?”

“Yes, the search team managed to get hold of them. Heaven has been dealt with, and w.a.n.g Zheng is fine!!!” Lan Ling exclaimed excitedly like a little girl, jumping around the place.

Everyone else started asking more questions, while Lie Xin and the others looked at one another. Heaven had been dealt with but w.a.n.g Zheng only suffered minor injuries?

How could this be?

Snow Li and the other girls were happy to hear about this news and clapped their hands, “So where is w.a.n.g Zheng?”

“He’s on his way back, probably it will take him some time. The information from the frontline can’t be wrong, I guess we can relax and take it easy now!”

Luo Quan was stunned for words, how was this even possible…..

Heaven was an Earth Grade killer, and he was rather well-known in the Darkness World. Besides, he was not an A Grade fugitive of the Milky Way Alliance for nothing, and yet he could be dealt with so easily?

Earlier on, he had looked up w.a.n.g Zheng who was the captain of the Solar System Federation IG. This was nothing, but he led the Federation’s team to clinch the second place, and this was quite an amazing feat. Later on, w.a.n.g Zheng was enrolled into the Elite Academy, being a student from the Huang Grade, he managed to clinch a division champion t.i.tle in the Elite compet.i.tion.

But despite all his achievements, he managed to defeat an expert from the Earth Grade. Even if he had gotten injured, it would be difficult to believe it either.

All along, Ai Xiaolu’s foresights were praised highly by the family. And for her to pin high hopes on someone like w.a.n.g Zheng, she definitely had her reasons.

Nonetheless, this was something worth celebrating.
