Even though she knew that her own physical strength was no match for his, she still wanted him to leave. However, though she had only used mild force this time around, he sat up immediately.

Zhuang Nainai immediately picked up the blanket and wrapped herself in it, then sat by the bedside and silently stared at her man. Fury suddenly surged within her. She bit her lips and glared at him, fury burning in her eyes. “Si Zhengting! What do you think I am? A pet that you can command to come and go as you please?!”

Seeing how livid she was, Si Zhengting was a little nervous. For the first time, he fumbled for the right words, “Nainai, that wasn’t what I meant, I…”

“Wasn’t what you meant? Then what were you trying to do just now? I had already told you to stop!” Zhuang Nainai’s tears flowed freely. It was as though she wanted to convert all the grievances that she had buried within her body into tears to be purged from her body.

“I’m really sorry that I’ve disappointed you. I’m only here to get my clothes, not because I wanted to see you!”

After she said that, she tore the blanket away and stood up. As she was angry and the atmosphere was so oppressive, she didn’t even feel a shred of embarra.s.sment. She walked to the closet and picked up her clothes, then wrapped a sleeping robe around herself and started to walk out of the room.

Her questions and her accusations were so piercing that they were almost capable of tearing Si Zhengting’s heart apart.

Thinking about the many grievances he had given her, about how she had been interrogated by the people around her, and about how her frail body had had to endure so much pressure, Si Zhengting suddenly felt that he really was a f*cking b*stard!

He couldn’t even protect his woman!

He watched as she made to leave the room. Once again, the last image he had of her was that retreating figure, and it suddenly caused him much anxiety.

Without thinking, he impulsively stood up and chased after her.
