I gently caressed the White Deer King’s warm and smooth fur . I was amazed such a proud creature could obediently lie on me in that fas.h.i.+on . However, I believed it would be the only opportunity . Henceforth, the White Deer King wouldn’t sleep next to me again . She softly moaned and softly hummed something on my chest, but I couldn’t understand deer language… I could understand her sentiment, though .

I’d be in just as much despair if my people attacked me . Protecting and doing everything for those you love, only for them to betray you was agonising . The White Deer King was more emotionally hurt than she was physically .

I caressed the White Deer King’s cheek . She snuggled up on my chest and softly hummed . She seemed to enjoy my company . I said, “I don’t know how to comfort you, White Deer King . Don’t take to heart what happened yesterday because it was due to mana that the white deer did that . It wasn’t their intention to do that . ”

The White Deer King raised her head unhappily . She looked similar to Lucia acting spoilt . I poked her nose and softly chuckled: “Of course, it’s useless to just comfort you, right? The pain won’t go away even if you know it wasn’t intentional . However, I can’t say much more, as my consolation is useless to you, isn’t it? I can only say that, as a King, you can’t always pay too much attention to people’s criticism . You just need to know that you’re in the right . ”

I gently touched The White Deer King’s chest… erm… b.r.e.a.s.t.s?

Voice quiet, I told her, “As long as we know that what we did was right, we won’t be in so much pain . Regardless of what happens, we did it for them and worked for them . We didn’t do it for them to revere us . We merely did it as their King . That’s all . ”

The White Deer King froze stiff all of sudden . Her expression began to change . It was evident she was getting cross . I had no clue what happened until a while later… Where was a deer’s heart? I had no idea… I just pressed my hand on the White Deer King’s abdomen . Then… I suddenly felt a bulge on my palm…

Wait… Wait… I didn’t know where her heart was, but dogs, cows and similar female animals… I remember once seeing puppies fight underneath their mothers belly… In other words, if the White Deer King was a human or elf, I was…

I couldn’t resist the urge to pinch… The White Deer King moaned and then went to leap up . I was ready to have my head kicked in, but the White Deer King couldn’t stand on two legs when she only had three functioning legs left . Hence, she fell onto me as soon as she tried to leap to her feet .

The White Deer King was angry but powerless to do anything to me . Although my scales were useless in my last two adventures… against the White Deer King, it could take any hit from her…

The White Deer King weakly lied on my thigh and looked away .

The White Deer King thought to herself, “Idiot… What a real idiot… He doesn’t understand what others think whatsoever… Perhaps it’s my fault? Perhaps it’s because I told him to treat me as a King . Also, this fellow doesn’t treat me as a woman, does he…? He’s gentle with special women, yet has never treated me the same way . I’m basically always relegated to watching him and his wives flirting with each other . Not to mention that they do it on my back . I’ve been unhappy about it for a long time, yet he never noticed . I’m not angry over what happened with my brethren . I understand all the things he mentioned . Plus, they’re my brethren . I wouldn’t be angry with them . What hurts me most is what they said to me yesterday . I thought I hid it well, but they aggressively brought up my feelings and smeared it in mud . I decided to lie down, as well . I hugged the White Deer King around her neck and shut my eyes: “I didn’t get any sleep last night, and so much happened . My body and mind are both exhausted . I don’t care what you think, but I’m going to have a nice sleep next to you . ”

The White Deer King’s soft and warm fur was the best pillow .

The White Deer King scanned Troy’s face, thinking, “While he’s the father to three girls, he hasn’t grown up… I can see signs that he’s got more on his mind now from the wrinkles on his forehead . He did go through so much, after all . Sometimes, his wives and mothers aren’t the only ones by his side . I’m there, too… It’s just that I never mentioned it .
