Chapter 12: Subst.i.tution

 

Murong Xiong’s face didn’t show any hesitation. He had already expected this day. Any family will have difficulty to accept a trash that couldn’t cultivate to be a member of their clan. Especially, Nangong Ye will be head of the next generation of Nangong Clan.

It can be said that over these years, Murong Clan is now declining unlike before. While Nangong Clan is constantly getting prosperous. So in this engagement, the Murong Clan will only cause them harm.

Just by thinking about these things, Murong Xiong felt more disgust to Murong Qingyan.

“Nangong Clan Master, do you really want to break off this engagement just like that?” Murong Xiong frowned and continue to say: “After all, this engagement was set off by you on that year.”

The reason why this engagement exists is because Murong Xizhao had saved Nangong Tingli’s life before.

Murong Xiong had mentioned it to remind him not to act so ungrateful.

But, he didn’t expect that things won’t be that easy because Murong Xizhao had disappeared. Another problem is Murong Qingyan was born trash and ugly. His son definitely doesn’t deserve someone like her!

However, Nangong Ye like her so he has no other choice. Plus, Murong Qingxue was valued in Murong Clan so he put forward such an idea.

“This -” Murong Xiong got tempted in their proposal.

While the two people were still continuing their discussion, a crisp sounding voice breaks the quietness inside the ancestral hall.

“It seems that grandfather and Nangong Clan master are already going to make a decision! But before that, aren’t you even going to ask me about this?”

As the crisp voice sounded, a slender figure appeared in the ancestral hall.

The woman’s eyes are moving like a star, her eyebrows are like willow and she has fine facial features. But unfortunately, on top of her white cheek, there was a large reddish-purple birthmark that abruptly destroyed her beauty and was giving a strange feeling.

Murong Qingyan was walking steadily when she came inside and held up her head high.

“Murong Qingyan, where is your manner ah?” Looking at directly to Murong Qingyan’s att.i.tude, Murong Xiong’s eyes showed a disgust: “Who told you that you can just barge in here?”
