“He’s from our district; he was. .h.i.tting on me, and I rejected him, so he’s here causing trouble…” Tang Yun said simply. “Let’s not talk about that right now. I need to call Er Goudan and ask him what I should do about this Wu Chentian!”

Tang Yin took up the phone and was starting to dial Mengyao’s number when Uncle Fu stepped in. “Is Tang Yun here? Are you all alright? Is the enemy gone?”

“Uncle Fu!” Tang Yin put down the phone once she saw him and walked over. “Uncle Fu, Wu Chentian is hurt. The one called Uncle Chu injured him- do we need to send him to the hospital?”

“Oh?” Uncle Fu walked over and crouched down, frowning as he inspected Chentian. “It would’ve been fine if Lin Yi was here, but since he isn’t, we’ll have to send him to the hospital. I’ll drive him there- are you coming with me?”

“Alright!” Tang Yin nodded. It was because of her that Chentian got injured, so naturally, she wouldn’t just leave him alone. She quickly put on her shoes. “Mom, you stay here and get a repairman to fix the door! I’ll be out for a bit!”

Tang Yin wasn’t worried that the enemies might come back–they’ve heard Lin Yi’s name and ran away because of it, so they should be fine.

But she felt quite troubled at what happened–Fafa didn’t know about Lin Yi’s power, but that Uncle Fu helper of his feared him a lot, running right away after hearing the name as if he was worried that Lin Yi would come to his doorstep!

If that had been the case, she would’ve put the name out earlier so they would leave, and Chentian wouldn’t get hurt! But she didn’t know that Fafa didn’t tell him about Lin Yi’s name!

On the way to the hospital, Tang Yin told Uncle Fu about what happened, and he nodded, sighing. “So it was Uncle Zhu… He’s the one that Lin Yi injured back then, Zhao Qibing’s bodyguard. It’s because of what they did to your house that Lin Yi made a move!”

“Oh, it’s him! No wonder he’s so afraid of Lin Yi!” Tang Yun exclaimed.

“When I came to your house. I saw two people leave your place and went on a Ferrari before leaving- so it was those two. I should’ve stopped them if I had known!”

“No need for that–Lin Yi isn’t here right now, so it’s best if we avoid trouble. Let’s wait until Lin Yi gets back!” Tang Yun didn’t want to cause trouble when Lin Yi wasn’t here.

“Alright, we’ll wait for him to come back…” Uncle Fu nodded.

Chentian’s injuries were internal injuries, and while Chentian was a physical pract.i.tioner, the nerves played a part as well, and it would have a certain level of effect. Even when his injuries recover, it’d be hard to recover back to his previous strength. His internal organs are damaged as well, and with standard hospital procedures, he needed to be resting on a sickbed to up to a year.

But Chentian’s life wasn’t in danger, and this was a relief. He wasn’t waking up yet, but he was past the unstable stage- Lin Yi could heal him once he returned!

However, the two bodyguards inside the house were both injured, and Uncle Fu had to go back quickly to protect Mengyao until Lin Yi comes back…

But this thug’s speed was something else, there was nothing they could do if he was that fast.

Lingshan didn’t expect that they were dealing with such a big case before she even returned- what hurt her brain more was that w.a.n.gli told her that there had been two of the same case that happened earlier!

At first, arresting Old Hei, as well as the men belonging to Old Hei, Old Keng, James, and Old Hao was a happy thing for Lingshan- it wasn’t a perfect wrap for the case, but it was considered a success. They apprehended a whole group of criminals!

But she still hadn’t had the chance to celebrate when trouble arrived again!

Robberies, three of them- in such a short amount of time! Just who the h.e.l.l was this man. He didn’t seem to have any fear or restraint!

Yutian came back with Lingshan and had wanted to talk with her about the tomb case when all this news came. Seeing that frown on Lingshan’s face, Yutian sighed. “Lingshan, don’t put too much stress on yourself- the robberies already happened; it’s no use to be fretting over it too much. Just try your best to look for the clues- but from the looks of it, this man has to be a pract.i.tioner for sure.”

“Yeah, he has to be- this also makes the case harder to crack!” Lingshan said. “The pract.i.tioners in Songshan all have a file in Songshan, and this sort of thing may require us to ask Feng Tianlong for help. It’s a bit out of our range of operation!”

“That’s true. If it really is a pract.i.tioner we’re dealing with we’ll have to get the secret service for backup.” Yutian nodded. “Let’s talk about the tomb raider case first?”

“Alright…” Lingshan ma.s.saged her temple. They needed to take things one step at a time after all, and there was no point panicking over it now. w.a.n.gli’s men were out there gathering clues anyway, so they had time to talk about the tomb.
