Chapter 1522 – Take Care

The twelfth place holder, like the eleventh place holder, was also flus.h.i.+ng with a happy red!

Yu Bing and Qijiu had chosen to stay in the Ice Palace, to become an outer disciple. Yu Bing was different from Lin Yi and Qijun, after all. Yu Bing no longer had the threat of Yu Shan so he didn’t need to rush back. Plus, Yu Shan had just gotten injured- even if it weren’t his fault, he had to take a certain amount of responsibility. Yu Bing didn’t think Yu Shan would do anything much other than blame it on him, but who knew if his grandpa would punish him because of that.

But, him staying in the sect would be different- if he were to break through into Earth cla.s.s and return, everything would’ve settled. At the very least, an Earth cla.s.s taking the position of heir was one of the more guaranteed things in life.

The top ten partic.i.p.ants, other than Lin Yi, Qiqi, and Qikun, had all chosen to stay and become disciples of the Ice Palace. Just getting the exchange right really didn’t seem like something worth them partic.i.p.ating in the test.

“Take care!” Lin Yi patted Yu Bing’s shoulder with a smile, “I won’t meddle with your decision, but if breaking through doesn’t work here, you can always come find me!”

This was a promise he made to him- and Lin Yi was not someone who took promises easily! He would always go through with them! As long as he was able to break through into Earth Cla.s.s, he’d be able to ma.s.s produce Earth cla.s.s masters- if Yu Bing were to come to him at that time, it wouldn’t be a problem to strengthen him up.

“You too- I hope I’ll be able to solve the war between you and House Yu. For Ning, I hope you’ll endure as well!” Yu Bing nodded solemnly.

“Alright! If they don’t come to me, I won’t cause any trouble.”

“I knew you’d say that!” Yu Bing sighed. He didn’t know if House Yu would go after Lin Yi- he wasn’t the head yet, and still didn’t have control.

“Those who will stay in the Ice Palace as outer disciples, follow Li and finish your arrangements! Those who want the exchange right, follow me!” Qing said. “The top three of this test will also be able to take home one of the treasures they’ve collected!”

At this point, Lin Yi had no choice but to say goodbye to Yu Bing. He didn’t know when he’d meet him again, but the two nodded to each other- and that was that.

The inn owner left with them into the sect, and Qing turned to the ones who didn’t pa.s.s. “The test is over- you can all go back now. However, I must warn you not to cause any trouble inside Ice Palace territory! After leaving the town, you can do as you please!”

“Yes!” The pract.i.tioners nodded- no one dared p.i.s.s Qing off.

Qing brought Lin Yi, Qiqi, and Qikun away, and everyone else left.

“Your exchange rights- do you want it done now, or do you want to make the decision later in the future?” Qing said as she led them to a waiting room outside the Ice Palace.

“If you want to do so now, speak. If not, we will send you a letter from the setc!”

“I’ll keep the exchange right first,” Qikun said.

“Alright, take this. If you need, you can use this letter to return to the town and talk to Li, the inn owner,” Qing said as she handed over an odd looking stone tablet.

Qikun put it away carefully.

“Why have you not left yet?” Qing said as she frowned- why was Qikun still hanging around?

“I…” Qikun paused, not expecting Qing to shoo him off so soon, but he didn’t dare say anything, “I’ll leave now…”

Qikun originally had wanted to wait for Lin Yi before returning- at least they’d be able to bond a bit during their walk back, but it seemed like that wouldn’t happen now. Qikun didn’t want to leave right away though, so he decided to wait at the inn first.

“I’ll wait for you in the inn!” With that, Qikun left the waiting room. A disciple of the sect brought him down the mountain.

“Ling Yi, Yang Qiqi- what about you?” Qing said after he left.

“You first,” Lin Yi guessed that what he wanted was a bit more valuable to the sect- there would definitely be some more heavier talking regarding that.

“I need a thousand year snow lotus as medicine!” Qiqi said, “I don’t have any treasures to exchange for it, but I can pay!”

“Thousand year lotus?” Qing frowned slightly, but nodded, “It is a bit more valuable, but if you were to use an item to change for it… I don’t know if you’d have a corresponding one of equal value. But you can pay for it! Five billion! If you accept, I’ll lead you to someone to take care of it.”

Five billion… Qiqi felt her head spin- this may not seem like much compared to the treasure, but it was to her! This was five billion! She didn’t even have one tenth of it even with all her savings from her missions from when she was young!

But she really needed this for Jiu- she might lose her life! She gritted her teeth, “Alright, I’ll do it!”

Qiqi’s family always gave plenty to their children, whatever they needed for their education or living was wholeheartedly given, but they didn’t give much monetary support, only some allowance from before they turned eighteen.

And so, she was thinking of borrowing the five billion from the household first!

That was right- she would borrow it! She would have to complete even more missions in the future for the household!

“Lead her,” Qing waved her hand, and a disciple came forward to lead her away.

The thousand year snow lotus wasn’t a normal lotus- it was of the extremely rare snow lotus breed! A normal snow lotus had a blooming period, and they wouldn’t open all the time in the four seasons. The thousand year one, however, was one that would bloom throughout all the seasons! However, it was only available in the ice mountains of the northern lands!

This was precious to the Ice Palace, but it wasn’t too rare. It wasn’t too useful for the sect in the first place, since it was a medicinal ingredient with similar effects to the Pill of Life Extension and Toxin Cleansing. For a pract.i.tioner, it just wasn’t very useful.
