The b.u.t.terfly’s Dream perfectly solved all the Qingming Dream’s issues. As long as a person wanted to sleep, they could do so until their body died, while the dream was colorful and no different from reality.

If someone was lonely and widowed, living in a b.u.t.terfly dream was extremely blissful. They would’ve lived a life without trouble, sorrow, or pain; everything would go well. They wouldn’t have needed to work, but they would still be wealthy.

Even if he realized that this was a dream, Zhang Zian still hesitated when normal people would’ve simply given in. He also had the urge to simply continue sleeping.

The mute lady lowered her dark green brim and covered her red eyes. She remained silent with her mouth firmly shut tight. She looked like a girl in a vegetative state, a cla.s.sic character from any Korean drama.

“Quack! Quack! You idiot!” The gray parrot fluttered his wings in the small cage and kept tumbling around. It fluttered its feathers and soon felt dizzy. It was very happy, thinking that Zhang Zian rejecting such a beautiful woman probably meant that he preferred men!

The tree branch in the little monkey’s hand dangled and sc.r.a.pped the ground. Its excitement grew as it thought of how to write such a story for its readers in the future.

The tea-colored cat narrowed its eyes and looked at him, comforted by Zhang Zian’s growth and maturity.

Although the white cloud was still frozen, it appeared grayer as a warning sign before it rained.

Zhang Zian bent down and rubbed the scratches on his calves. He originally wanted to urge the elves to leave this dream before revealing his feelings to Zhuang Xiaodie, but they stubbornly remained. Now he was the one who felt embarra.s.sed.

At that moment, he felt something furry swipe the back of his hand, but he looked down only to find nothing.

The elves didn’t move from their positions, so who swept his hand?

He glanced towards the other side. Not far from his hand was a black and white kitten squatting there while flicking its tail. The fear in its eyes had almost disappeared.

Zhuang Xiaodie stood there in a daze. She couldn’t forgive his response, but she accepted defeat; when she heard his words, she knew it was futile to say more.

Her defeat was not influenced by a lack of ability, but rather by choosing a wrong opponent.

Nevertheless, she didn’t regret it.

“It’s a wonderful dream,” she said.

The howling wind blew faster, but her long skirt didn’t move with it. It merely shook a little at the beginning, before slowly but surely moving with more intensity.

Zhang Zian and the elves all focused on her, staring at this incredible scene unfold with wide eyes.

A large group of various b.u.t.terflies took off from her colorful sleeves… or rather, her colorful sleeves turned into b.u.t.terflies!

They weren’t just colorful sleeves; her gorgeous Chinese costume turned out to be numerous b.u.t.terflies on her body collectively taking flight!

Plants, water, walls, windows, cars, pedestrians, the sky… The gray world was being accurately colored by a masterful artist.

“You can go back, but how do you know that you won’t go back to another dream in your dream?” Zhuang Xiaodie’s voice suddenly rang in his ear. She was close enough for him to smell her breath, full of temptation.

Zhang Zian was shocked by what he had heard.

Then, he opened his eyes and realized that he was covered in cold sweat.

The colorful world disappeared, and a monotonous ceiling occupied his vision.

His chest was heavy as if he was being held down by something. He was almost out of breath and looked down to see what was there.

He didn’t expect the first thing he saw to be Snowy Lionet.

Snowy Lionet laid on his chest and licked her paws. The tips of her paws were stained with some unknown red liquid.

When he woke up, Snowy Lionet looked at him with extra gentle eyes. Her tone was so gentle that Zhang Zian wondered if he entered another dream.

“You’re awake! The operation was successful! You are now a girl!”

Wait, what?!

Zhang Zian immediately regretted waking up!
