Mount Mist was quite well-known at the Drifting Cloud Region. The mountain soared up to the sky, mist-shrouded. The view at the peak was quite pleasant as well, as if there was a fairyland.

Two families belonged to the Drifting Cloud Hall had built their villas here. Previously, many womenfolk of the families were residing here. Some kids were living here as well to be empowered by fighting the many Xuan Beasts on the mountain.

The three forces of Silver Wolf Mountain, Palace of Black Moon and Lotus Society sent over many scouts here. Drifting Cloud Hall had to send over their scouts to clean up their rivals. Hence, Mount Mist became the designated battleground for scouts.

Today, some stranger guests came to Mount Mist.

Lu Li and the other four sneaked their way into the mountain. After two hours worth of walking, they had run into 10 teams of scouts. Given that they were unfamiliar with the situation, Ye Cha didn't dare to kill anyone rashly. He walked around at once.

It was getting more and more difficult for them to move on. Ye Cha was suffering. If scouts could be compared to rats, then Mount Mist was a rat's nest with many running around.

But some discovery made Ye Cha and Lu Li feel relaxed!

There was not one rat's nest, but two. Rats from two sides were in constant fights. Lu Li put his mind at ease after they ran into two fights between scouts which had left behind many bodies. Lu Li ordered Ye Cha to kill any scouts they could not avoid from encountering.

Ye Cha was careful nonetheless. He used some disguise even after he killed some scouts. Otherwise, a n.o.ble Lord Realm warrior killing scouts could invite suspicion. Hardly any scout on the two sides were at the n.o.ble Lord Realm.

In this way, they managed to go into the depth of the mountain. Ye Cha found a secluded cave. More interestingly, there were some scouts in the cave. They were all from the three forces and were slayed by Ye Cha.

"Ke Mang, you are up!"

G.o.d of Meng inspected the surroundings with psychic power for a bit and decided to camp here. Ke Mang acted on order. He took out some formation stones to start building an illusionary setting.

He was fast. In the time for two incense sticks to burn, the entrance to the cave was covered in mist. Naked eyes could not see the cave entrance.

After Ke Mang finished his work, G.o.d of Mang checked it, nodded with satisfaction and said, "The pupil outdoes the master. Ke Mang, you are more skilled than your grandpa."

Ke Mang was excited. His eyes were glaring but he was still reserved. His reply was a shy smile.

Lu Li also checked with psychic power. Apart from the mist, he didn't find many difference, which made him doubt.

G.o.d of Meng smiled gently and said, "Saint Lord, go out and have a look. You will not find the entrance."

"Really?"

Lu Li didn't buy it. His soul was so powerful that he could walk in and out of the cave with his eyes closed. How could he not find the entrance?

Lu Li flew out past the mist at the entrance and turned back after he walked for 3000 feet.

"Eh?"

By the time Lu Li turned back, he found the scene had changed completely. The rugged surface had become even. Also, when he inspected with psychic power, he couldn't find the cave. What was more important…he didn't sense any signs of Inhibition Formation. There should be a boulder here but he couldn't see it, nor the cave. All he could see was the open land.

Lu Li was not willing to let it go. The entrance was only 3000 feet ahead of him. How could he not find it? He closed his eyes and moved on using only psychic power to guide so he could travel in a straight line.

1500 feet, 2000 feet and 3000 feet!

Lu Li opened his eyes which were filled with shock. He hadn't arrived at the entrance. Despite the fact that he had been walking in a straight line, he couldn't find the mountain peak. That cave had disappeared mysteriously.

"This is impossible!"

Lu Li opened his eyes wide and walked forward at will, changing his course every now and then. The stone cave and the mountain peak were real. They couldn't have vanished into thin air. Every dog has its day. Lu Li must be able to tumble his way in.

What happened next astonished him—

He wandered around for the time for one incense stick to burn but he could not find the peak nor the cave. Then entrance really had disappeared mysteriously.

"Wonderful…"

Once again, Lu Li was awed by the skills and powers of ancient races. Still, he made no attempt to ask for help. Instead, he stood in the mist quietly to think about it.

It was impossible that the peak and the cave had gone. He had walked out in a straight line and came back in the same way. There could only be one explanation why he couldn't see the cave!

He hadn't taken a straight line. The illusion was influencing his soul and his judgment, which was why his senses had been saying the wrong story.

Maybe…he been walking around in a small circle.

Now that he had figured out the reason, Lu Li had an idea. He released his Fate Wheel and circled around slowly, extending the circle bit by bit. The stone cave was nearby. He would hit it for sure.

"Okay, Saint Lord, come on in!"

G.o.d of Meng said. Lu Li put away the Fate Wheel and walked into the cave following the voice.

Lu Li had seen through the illusion but it was because he knew the cave was nearby. If he didn't there was no way he could have found the cave.

Lu Li was delighted. Looking at Ke Mang, he said, "Future Clan Leader Ke, you have opened my eyes. This is powerful. I have never heard of something like this before!"

"Young Master, you flatter me." Ke Mang answered with modesty, "This is the only thing Shadowland Race is capable of. We rarely have any powerful warriors. By the end of the day, it is only a.s.sistance, not the major force in fights."

Lu Li didn't engage in more pleasant formalities with Ke Mang. He turned to Ye Cha and said, "It's up to you now. Go and get someone and acquire information!"

"Saint Lord, don't worry. I will handle it!"

Ye Cha nodded and left with Third Patriarch. Lu Li understood that anxiety wouldn't get him anywhere. He sat with his legs crossed in the cave to cultivate Xuan Energy to stabilize his realm.

So did G.o.d of Meng. Ke Mang, on the other hand, had to keep a lookout in case any scout broke in. They wouldn't be exposed as long as n.o.body broke into the cave or some Human Sovereign Realm warrior inspected with psychic power.

In less than an hour, Ye Cha and Third Patriarch had brought in a scout each. They didn't interrogate them. Ye Cha searched their souls directly.

When he was done, Lu Li opened his eyes. But Ye Cha shook his head and went out again, as did Third Patriarch.

After nearly half a day, Ye Cha and Third Patriarch came back with one scout. But this one was at the initial stage of the n.o.ble Lord Realm. Obviously, he was a team leader.

This time, Lu Li was becoming more nervous. He looked as Ye Cha searched the scout's soul. After an hour, the n.o.ble Lord Realm scout collapsed to the ground, died from shattered soul.
