Yifan Feng’s brow furrowed slightly. “Uncle Feng,” he spoke to the old man beside him, “issue an order. Search the Mystic Sun Realm for Qingfeng Li. I’ll have to see just who this man is, that Xue Lin would love him this much.”

At this, the green-clad old man nodded and took out a tinderbox. He opened it and wrote down a symbol. It was the symbol for contacting all self-cultivators of the Wind Eagle High-Tier Dynasty.

Xue Lin frowned. “Master,” she said, “why did you pull me away? We should be going left, to Five-Poison City, not right!”

“Lil’ Xue,” the sect master of the Mystic Ice Sect replied, “What are you thinking? We’re on someone else’s boat right now. We’re at Yifan Feng’s mercy. If you express to him that you are displeased, or that you are challenging him, he might kill us. Even though he does like you, and he might let you live due to your beauty, Tian Xuan and this master of yours would lose their lives.”

Xue Lin furrowed her brows. She finally understood what her Master had been worrying about. It was no wonder that, the whole way here, her master had been trying to stay on Yifan Feng’s good side. She had been worried that he would kill them.

Xue Lin still did not have a clear understanding of how cruel the world of self-cultivators was. She thought that, so long as she didn’t kill anyone else, no one would kill her. She was completely wrong. If Yifan Feng hadn’t been intending to court her, he would have killed her Master and Junior Brother.

One of them wore a black dress that showed off her vivacious figure, with a black veil on her face obscuring her features. The other was a tall female servant, with pleasant features and a long sword hanging from her waist.

Qingfeng Li smiled. “May I ask why this lady has blocked my way?”

The veiled woman smiled, ruby lips parting, she spoke in a clear voice. “I’ve just seen you defeat the tenth ranked devil with one blow. I’m very interested in you. Would you like to be my guard?”

Qingfeng Li furrowed his brows. So, this woman wanted to hire a guard and was interested in his strength. However, Qingfeng Li had no interest in doing so.

Qingfeng Li waved a hand. “Sorry, I’m not interested.”

With that, Qingfeng Li turned and walked off in another direction, not wanting anything to do with this woman.
