“Words from me, the overlord of the world, are more effective than words from G.o.ds!”

The man laughed with his head held up high in the sky, expressing his apparent arrogance.

“So your name is Hong Yan Jun Zhu. What a dominating sounding name.”

Ling Xian smiled. For some strange reason, the very first time he saw this man, he felt like they would get along. He also could sense that this person wasn’t someone who would break promises.

Though this feeling of his may not be all that accurate, he chooses to believe in him. Therefore, he continued to smile and speak, “Vey well. Since you have spoken the words, then there really is no more need to vow to heavens.”

“You aren’t scared that I’d break my promise?” Hong Yan Jun Zhu mockingly snickered.

“The relations.h.i.+ps between humans can be very complicated, but sometimes, it can be very simple. I think I would get along with you. So I choose to believe you.”

The corner of Ling Xian’s lips curled up. “Plus, even if you don’t keep your promise, I don’t lose out on much. I will just pretend that I saved a son of a b*tch.”

“Haha, very well!”

Hong Yan Jun Zhu’s laughter was bright and his eyes were full of praise. “I have ruled the world for many years yet I still like you the best. You are someone I can be friends with!”

“You are the same. Very few people can be seen highly by me, Ling Xian.” Ling Xian softly grinned. His temperament was out of the world and similar to an immortal’s.

“Ling Xian… though the sound of it isn’t too special, if I chew on it, it’s an overbearing name as well.”

Hong Yan Jun Zhu still appeared impressed. “I look forward to the day you break these chains. However, it would be better if you start preparing to just sit here and chat with me.”

“That may not be the case.”

Ling Xian confidently smiled, his attractiveness lit up the entire universe. “I have made my bet so neither of us can look back now. It is time to see if I have the ability to break the chains.”

Then, he softly walked forward and arrived beside Hong Yan Jun Zhu.

“Though you are very talented, I do not believe you have the ability to break these two chains.”

Hong Yan Jun Zhu shook his head. “Don’t waste your time. Why not fetch me some good wine and good food. We can drink and chat. Isn’t that more fun?”

“That would be more fun. But if we can drink outside of this place, that would be even better, no?” Ling Xian continued to tease, “Alright, silence now. I am going to think this through now.”

Then, he no longer paid any attention to Hong Yan Jun Zhu and instead, s.h.i.+fted his gaze to the two chains.

The two chains were entirely black. On it, were carvings of the moon, star, sun, stream, river, sea, and other hundreds of symbols. They appeared ancient and mysterious.

The top of this chain – the place right above Hong Yan Jun Zhu’s shoulder, had a black hole. It looked like a place where the key goes.

“This chain…”

Ling Xian frowned because he saw right away that those symbols were not there for aesthetics, they were arrays.

Every single symbol represented a powerful array. In other words, there were at least hundreds of arrays. Based on his a.n.a.lysis, all these arrays were personally set up by a grandmaster!

Grandmaster!

That was a t.i.tle only granted to those who have reached the peak of their path. It indicated next level cultivation and represented terror.
