The 36 islands had the Palace of Fortune, Yunzhou had the Imperishable Palace, and Tianzhou had the Great Mausoleum.

There were many common characteristics with these three strange places. For example, they were all isolated s.p.a.ce, n.o.body knows where they came from, and they were hidden with various fortunes.

Plus, Ling Xian had read the ancient book in the Qing Ming House which made him think that these three strange places are somehow linked.

Currently, he was fleeing around between the mountains and pondering over how these three places could be connected.

“Fortune, Imperishable, Great…”

Ling Xian was wearing a snow white robe as he strolled between mountains and rovers. His eyebrows furrowed.

It was obvious that all three locations had very meaningful names and they sounded very philosophical and mysterious. These three places were all named by people based on their important traits.

But one thing was for sure, these names accurately described each place.

“I am getting more and more curious. Sadly, it’s been 10 days and I have no findings.”

Ling Xian shook his head softly. He wasn’t exactly disappointed though because he knows he is searching for a needle in the ocean. There was no way he could find something.

But other than searching without a goal, there was no other way for him.

“Oh well, I will treat this like a trip then. I am here to view the Great Mausoleum’s sceneries.” Ling Xian grinned and decided to altogether not dwell on this anymore and focus on the beauty before him.

Just like that, he walked aimlessly and submerged himself amongst the green mountains and emerald waters.

His at ease and casual behaviour was truly immortal-like and pleasant.

When he arrived at a mountain valley that was surrounded by other tall mountains however, his gaze froze and his brows began to furrow.

Because he felt an unusual energy.

“Interesting. Could it be there are some kind of fortunes here?”

Ling Xian was intrigued. He began to scope around the surrounding mountains. However, the array that protected this valley blocked him.

His frown deepened and so did his interest.

“Interesting. Let me see just what is hidden inside.” Ling Xian smiled and leaped forward towards the shapeless barrier.

Then, he called out to his enlivener and tested the barrier using his soul.

Ling Xian’s eyes flashed with awe. He didn’t think there would be a heavenly array here. However, he didn’t feel troubled.

His array level has reached the master level and since he had access to the great inheritance, he was one of the best out of all array masters.

Therefore, Ling Xian very casually looked around. After merely minutes, he had found the break point of this array.

Then, he spent around 30 minutes to find a technique from the inheritance in his mind that can slash a tear in this array.

“Let’s go and see just what’s inside.”

Ling Xian faintly smiled and walked in through the tear. He glanced around.

Inside the valley was streams of water and hundreds of flowers. It was a serene and tranquil piece of land.

However, when Ling Xian’s eyes met the cave before him, his expression changed.

He could sense that there was an ancient beast crouching inside the cave. Though he was faraway from it, he could sense the suppressing and depressing atmosphere.

To put it more accurately, it was the smell of death.

“Just… who exists there.” Ling Xian frowned. Curiosity flashed across his eyes.

There is a saying that the talented have bigger guts. Normal people would not step forward at all. But for him, he really wanted to go in and investigate.

Of course, Ling Xian was no fool. He had to prepare himself.

He called out to his indestructible physique, forming a faint layer of gold light around his body that acted like an impenetrable armor. Then, he took out the emerald colored umbrella he gained from the Cliff to double s.h.i.+eld himself.

“This should be enough. Even if the most evil thing lies inside, I am confident I can escape like this.”

The corner of Ling Xian’s lips curled up. In a flash, he arrived before the cave. Then, he encountered another array.

“Even when hidden behind an array, the being can emit such horrifying energy. The cave contains something out of the ordinary.”

Ling Xian’s expression froze a little and his curiosity grew dense. He then formed a hand seal and softly flicked the invisible barrier.

Instantly, the barrier slowly disappeared and revealed the opening to the cave.

The path before him was narrow. At first glance, there was no end to it. Like an underground maze, it was endless.

“Let’s go. I want to see just what’s hidden inside.” Ling Xian didn’t hesitate and marched in.

Immediately, the smell of death intensified, making him feel hopeless.

However, Ling Xian had a determined mentality and strong capability. He wasn’t affected by this depression. However, he had to force himself to lift his spirit and carefully defend.

Then, he marched forward slowly. Every step he took was soft and soundless.

After around 15 minutes, he finally reached the end of the road. When he saw what was before him, he frowned immediately.

Before him was a giant pool of blood. All he could see was bright red. An evil energy was overpowering and even for him, he felt a little disgusted.

What could he do? This view was far too b.l.o.o.d.y. Anyone would feel disgusted.

What surprised Ling Xian was that there was a strong man sitting inside the pool of blood. It was also someone familiar.

The strongest descendent of the golden roc kind, the G.o.d of Gold.

The G.o.d of Gold was utterly naked and had his eyes closed. His muscles were pulsing like serpents, firm and powerful. Under the red light from the pool of blood, he looked even more devious and shuddering.

“It’s him…”

Ling Xian frowned; he had a bad feeling.

Just then, the G.o.d of Gold abruptly opened his eyes. His originally gold pupils turned bright red, forcing people to feel a sense of cruelty and torture.

Especially after clearly making out Ling Xian’s visage, the killer’s intent in his eyes turned heavier.

“It’s you!”

The G.o.d of Gold’s red hair began to flutter in the wind. The pool of blood was now boiling and its terrifying aura reached an extreme. Similar to the awakening of a G.o.d, the force of it was enough to overpower all nine levels of heaven and all 10 levels of h.e.l.l!

He stared deadly into Ling Xian’s eyes and smiled, “Haha, there was a path laid out by the Heavens for you and you didn’t take it. Yet you are knocking on h.e.l.l’s door! Luckily I have succeeded my training, I will use you to test out my knife.”

Ling Xian’s expression froze a little. He sensed that the G.o.d of Gold’s body was exuding more energy than when they last fought. He couldn’t help but frown.

It was obvious that this pool of blood had some kind of special power that strengthened this golden roc.

“How is it? Can’t you sense how powerful I am?”

The G.o.d of Gold was enjoying himself and the energy within his body. He smirked and his eyes were full of arrogance.

“To me, you are just like an ant right now.”

“Is that right?”

Ling Xian glared at him. Though he felt uneasy, he wasn’t afraid, “Don’t forget, I ripped off one of your arms. Therefore, you have already lost to me.”

“What did you say?”

The golden roc was infuriated. A wave of energy rolled out in all four directions. Similar to a beast awakening, he had enough destructive power to ruin everything around him!

The pool of blood boiled even harder. The G.o.d of Gold, post transformation, attacked aggressively and broke through s.p.a.ce with one hit!
