Ling Xian sat in a mahogany chair and sipped on his tea. He was waiting for the Vice Dean from the Library of Fortune.

Stone wasn’t sitting. He was standing nicely by the side, looking as cute as ever.

After leaving the Great Mausoleum, Ling Xian originally wanted to hand Stone over to Fairy Wu. Sadly, the teleportation system for the Great Mausoleum is random and doesn’t have a set place.

Therefore, he didn’t get to see Fairy Wu. He had to personally visit.

Currently, Ling Xian was enjoying his tea and waiting patiently.

After some time, a bright laughter arose from outside the door. Then, an elder appeared before Ling Xian.

“But he is your apprentice.” Dao Wu Zi appeared confused.

Ling Xian brandished his arm, “Vice Dean Wu, how do you think Stone will turn out in the future?”

“That’s not even a question. If no accidents happen, with his talent, he will easily become a powerhouse.” Wu Dao Zi looked a.s.sured.

That was true. If the Library of Fortune ever gets in trouble, Stone wouldn’t just sit and do nothing. As his master, Ling Xian wouldn’t just do nothing neither.

However, Ling Xian didn’t react negatively towards him. His future path is going to be treacherous and he will not have the energy to take care of Stone. So he has to ask the Library of Fortune for this favor.

“Then, you are saying yes?” Ling Xian asked.

“Of course. If I don’t agree then I would be the idiot.” Vice Dean Wu smiled at Stone with pa.s.sion.

Ling Xian grinned. “Then, I don’t owe you a favor, you owe me one.”

“How do I owe you a favor?” Dao Wu Zi was stunned.

Ling Xian chuckled, “But it’s okay. If you don’t want to do this favor, I can leave with Stone.”

“No, definitely not.”

Dao Wu Zi’s att.i.tude took a 360 turn. After what Ling Xian had said, he had realized what benefits admitting Stone into the Library would bring him.

Seeing this, Ling Xian smiled, “So then, don’t you owe me a favor?”

“Then I won’t worry.” Ling Xian softly nodded.

“Alright, ignoring his talent, the fact that he has you as a master means n.o.body here would dare to bully him.” Dao Wu Zi laughed.

“Another thing, don’t spoil him. I don’t want him to grow up into someone who is arrogant and doesn’t think highly of anyone,” Ling Xian said.

“Don’t worry. I will make sure he grows up a stand-up character.” Wu Dao Zi laughed confidently.

“That’s great.”

Ling Xian nodded with a grin, then looked over to Stone, “From today on, you will live here.”

“Yes, master.”

Stone nodded. On his way here, Ling Xian had already prepared him for what will happen, which is why he isn’t crying now.

His big eyes, however, contained much unwillingness. His tiny hand was also dragging onto Ling Xian’s sleeve.

“Cultivate well here. When I have time, I will visit you.” Ling Xian patted his head.

“Yes, master, I will work hard on cultivating and I will not disappoint you.” Stone nodded seriously. His handsome face was naïve but determined.

“Very well.”

Ling Xian smiled in satisfaction and said to Wu Dao Zi, “I am going to hand Stone over to you now. I hope he can grow up safely.”

“Do not worry. There’s nothing to worry about.”

Vice Dean Wu nodded, then, he suddenly remembered something and asked, “Wait, have you ever heard of the Palace of Heaven’s Favorites?”

“The Palace of Heaven’s Favorites?”

Ling Xian was a little surprised, “What’s that?”

“It’s a mysterious place where all the top powers of Tianzhou reside.”

Dao Wu Zi wiped off his smile and said in a serious tone, “This force never intercepts with anything that happens in Tianzhou, but it’s a force that is highly respectable and n.o.body dares to provoke it.”
