Chapter 1264: Revenger

Translator: Halcyon Translations Editor: Halcyon Translations

The Horde tents were filled with Thieves. The soldiers were all busy, so it took them a while to realize that their tents had been a.s.saulted.

There were two hundred long-ranged players, with two Thieves buffed by Prayer of the Moon G.o.ddess. This was also on top with hundreds of Alliance NPCs. With the other Thieves running around, the Horde tents were immediately thrown into chaos. All that stood before Lu Li’s crew was immediately wiped out.

Lu Li quickly discovered Bygraves.

Orcs looked like humans, but had larger noses and rippling, green muscles. Their fangs were also very noticeable. Male Orcs were larger in size compared to human males, and when they stood up, they were on average 2 meters tall. Female Orcs were also greater in size compared to human females, but they were much skinnier than male Orcs. Even so, they still had the symbolic powerful muscles of all Orcs.

The fangs of female Orcs were small and were almost unnoticeable; they were more like large sharp teeth.

Bygraves was a typical Orc.

First, there were his eyes. There was nothing wrong with them – just an obvious scar from the left to the right. A little deeper, and his life would have been taken in that instance.

His pair of eyes glistened and looked frightening. His hair was white and there were wrinkles on his face. There was no wisdom in gaze, only cruelty and blood l.u.s.t. It looked like he could easily eat five live humans each meal.

His head was bald with a band wrapped around his forehead. In the middle of the band was the bone of a finger. Lu Li couldn’t tell what race the finger belonged too.

It was possible that it belonged to the person who gave him the scar on his eyes. Bygraves had tied their finger bone to his forehead as remembrance of his sweet revenge. Many years had pa.s.sed, and he might not remember the face of his enemy, but he definitely would still remember the joy of avenging himself.

As if he was telepathic, Bygraves turned around and stared at Lu Li’s location.

At first, Lu Li thought that Bygraves was staring at the captain. After all, the captain was the an NPC commander. The captain was probably the strongest existence on the Alliance side, but after Lu Li checked again, he realized that Bygraves was really staring at him.

“This is the smell of revenge!” Bygraves boomed as he stood up from what he was originally sitting on, which was possibly the corpse of an NPC. Player corpses wouldn’t remain around for that long.

Lu Li couldn’t help but grow a little anxious. After all, this was currently the top boss of the game.

There were plenty of bosses that were stronger than Bygraves, but they wouldn’t see someone as insignificant as Lu Li as their target. Lu Li was certain that he was no match. Bygraves unleashed this aura that was so powerful that it destroyed all hope. If this was a computer game made a hundred years ago, the name of this NPC would be so red that it would turn purple. The NPC also had a giant-sized body, added on to the pressure he exerted.

Fortunately, Lu Li didn’t just turn his head and run, because he remembered that he was no longer the weakling that would die in a shot. He had the Prayer of the Moon G.o.ddess buff with him, hundreds of brothers to back him up and more NPCs as support.

He would rather fight to death than run without trying.

“Step up and let me feel your strength, unknown revenger,” Bygraves said as a l.u.s.t for battle shone in his eyes.

“My name is Lu Li. I’ve come in the name of my teacher to take your life.”

Lu Li licked his cracked lips in excitement. This was truly a big Boss. He had not yet encountered a level 65 Boss, which was five levels higher than all players.

“I’ve got no interest in you, but your teacher, I wonder who he is…”

Bygraves’ voice was coa.r.s.e, it was hard to tell what he was saying without paying attention.

“You’ve got no need to know who my teacher is, because…well, there’s really no point when you’re about to die.”

“Now, in the name of revenge, I announce that today is your great apocalypse.”

Lu Li disappeared from the spot, and when he reappeared, he was behind Bygraves.

For a long period of time, all the players in the scene couldn’t forget what they saw. It completely turned their world upside down.

They had seen a Thief player charging recklessly at a level 65 Boss.

Lu Li’s dagger jabbed into the back of Bygraves’ head. This was a Backstab. He had planned to use this to reduce the armor of Bygaves…

Ding!

Unfortunately, Lu Li’s dagger didn’t jab into Bygraves.

It wasn’t because of Bygraves’ size; the System would adjust the discomfort of a size-difference to a certain extent.

His dagger had struck a piece of metal, or rather, it had met the blade of a giant axe.

If the game designers gave Bygraves a specialty, it would be that he was an experienced soldier.

There was no way that Lu Li’s sneak attack was going to work.

However, his attack still followed the damage rules of the game. Lu Li had already dealt around 200 points of damage to Bygraves. Under usual circ.u.mstances, this was like a dream come true, especially when his attack was completely blocked. The Prayer of the Moon G.o.ddess wasn’t diminished in front of a Boss.

Dawn had a rule that decreased statuses when facing a stronger existence.

But who can reduce the power of the Prayer of the Moon G.o.ddess buff? At the very least, Lu Li hadn’t recognized anyone capable of doing so. Even Thrall couldn’t manage this, let alone an average Orc like Bygraves.

As such, Lu Li’s damage wasn’t reduced just because Bygraves was a higher=level boss.

Bygraves waved his axe with a force that was enough to split Lu Li into two.

However, what he hit wasn’t Lu Li – it was Shard of the Defiler. It was such a light blade, but surprisingly, it was a successful block.

Lu Li also received damage, but this encouraged his crew.

Players always had an advantage that NPCs didn’t– they always had countless comrades and could revive continuously.

Lu Li wasn’t the type to follow Orc traditions.

Muck-gala was a one-on-one battle tradition amongst the Orcs, often used to challenge others for the position of the Chief. Both parties were only allowed to bring a weapon and they couldn’t wear any armor. They would fight until death and if anyone was to abandon the fight halfway, they would immediately be casted out.

Unfortunately, Lu Li wasn’t an Orc. He respected the tradition, but he wasn’t planning on following it.

Countless skills rained upon Bygaves, like fireworks in the night sky.
