“Oh…” This answer cleared away their remaining doubts.

No one thought that the NPC was telling lies. After all, he was someone who was able to produce an Enhanced Skill Book as a reward.

NPCs also couldn’t resp.a.w.n, so escaping in a crisis to try and protect themselves was something you couldn’t blame them for.
