The Splinter of Atiesh was material for the Legendary weapon ‘Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian’.

There was some info that revealed that the Lich King Kel’Thuzad in Naxxramas was secretly looking for this legendary staff. That was why it wasn’t unusual to find the Splinter of Atiesh here.

The best equipment in Dawn were Magic weapons, but there weren’t many in the whole continent. Because of this, Legendary weapons was naturally what everyone was chasing after.

When different roles used this weapon, it had different effects. You could even say that the attributes of each ‘Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian’ were different. Some of the staffs’ attributes might be mediocre, that is, compared to other Legendary equipment, while others had attributes that were top-notch.
