Everlasting. Everlasting Chapter 1121 Fleshly Body Of A Gold Immortal

As Chen Feng cultivated himself, he observed the cultivators who came in the same way he did. It did not take long before several years went by. Some, like Chen Feng, chose to cultivate quietly. Some were unable to hold themselves back and tried to leave. Some wanted to enter deeper into the mountain range. Without exception, all who did not stay were killed.

One of them happened to be a mid-level Heavenly Immortal. He was very strong, so much so that he could even grab Chen Feng's attention. Given the cultivator's strength, he should be able to ma.s.sacre those soldiers. Unexpectedly, a sword light of destruction would appear out of nowhere to reduce the mid-level Heavenly Immortal to ash.

That incident didn't just shock the other cultivators. Even Chen Feng was shocked to see that.

This is bad! It could actually instantly kill off a mid-level Heavenly Immortal! If I had taken action back then, I would have died. Thinking about that caused Chen Feng to break out into a cold sweat.

I should just focus on cultivating myself.

However, after spending tens of years cultivating there, Chen Feng felt somewhat concerned.

It is unlikely that the other party would continue to keep us here forever. However, I don't think I'll be able to stay here for hundreds of years. Due to the turmoil in his state of mind, Chen Feng could no longer continue with his cultivation.

“There is a terrible disturbance in your heart.” It was then that Immortal Hongru suddenly appeared. She leisurely walked into Chen Feng's grotto-mansion, like a fiery-red cloud floating inside.

“Is this how your Carefree Palace treats its guests?” Chen Feng said.

“Staying here, you can cultivate with peace of mind. Is there any better place than here?” The smile on Immortal Hongru's face was like a flower, but the gentle look on her face had long since disappeared, replaced with iciness and indifference. 

Chen Feng nodded. Next, his eyes abruptly flared with light and a dazzling spiritual light shot into Immortal Hongru's sea of wisdom.

“You!” Immortal Hongru was only able to exclaim once before her face turned blank. Swiftly, it took on an entangled look.

Chen Feng had launched a sudden attack on her. As expected, the attack left Immortal Hongru in a dazed state. But just as Chen Feng was about to search Immortal Hongru's memories, a clump of golden light suddenly appeared from within Immortal Hongru's sea of wisdom. With one shout, Chen Feng's divine sense was burst apart. It was similar to the time he tried to inspect the Great Wilderness Ding.

The imprint left behind by a Gold Immortal! It was a most unbearable feeling for Chen Feng, but he swiftly unleashed a punch. Like a broken kite, Immortal Hongru was blasted far away. When she finally got up, she had wanted to retaliate with her own killer move when the golden light within her sea of wisdom suddenly flared out again. Hesitating for a moment, Immortal Hongru then left, a hate-filled look on her face.

“I'll let you live for a while longer!”

Chen Feng worked on collecting his divine sense, one strand after another. Thankfully, he had trained his soul many times before. Additionally, he had also cultivated out the Longevity Flame. If it weren't for that, the earlier attack would have utterly obliterated his soul.

“That was truly dangerous.”

Chen Feng had to spend a total of 10 days to recover. During that time, Immortal Hongru had appeared once. She had wanted to attack Chen Feng. In the end, however, she held herself back.

The other party did not take action to kill me. Looks like they still have some use for me. Chen Feng calmed down. If he had truly provoked a Gold Immortal to take action against him, not even having the Longevity Tower on him would help. Death would be the only ending for him. Once again, Chen Feng had to face the unpleasant feeling of not being able to control his own fate.

d.a.m.n it! I've been ensnared by the other party's ploy since the very beginning. Doing all this to gather cultivators from the outside world, just what is this Carefree Palace up to?

And so, Chen Feng forced himself to cultivate inside the grotto-mansion for another 10 years. During that time, a good number of outside cultivators entered as well.

On this particular day, something finally happened. A high-level Heavenly Immortal came, with eight mid-level Heavenly Immortals following him. When they arrived, they utilized their magics to gather up all the outside cultivators. Chen Feng did not resist. However, he sensed a faint feeling of danger.

Some of the foreign cultivators there had attempted to resist only to be killed on the spot. Seeing that, the rest behaved themselves.

“Take them away!”

Chen Feng secretly calculated. The valley that he was in had several hundred foreign cultivators. Due to the coercive power from the opposing Heavenly Immortals, all of them were sent flying rapidly through the sky. It did not take long before Chen Feng saw even more cultivators joining his group. In the beginning, Chen Feng was shocked to see them, but he quickly understood. Those cultivators were like him. Only, they had been locked up elsewhere.

Soon enough, there were over 10,000 cultivators there. The weakest amongst the cultivators there was a True Immortal while the strongest was a mid-level Heavenly Immortal.

Suddenly a rainbow appeared before abruptly bursting into countless threads. Every one of the threads was capable of binding one of the cultivators there. The cultivators were horrified to find that the other end of the threads was a pitch-black hole. The darkness of the hole devoured everything and just the act of looking at it made them feel as though their souls would be sucked into it.

“What is that?!”

Everyone there instinctively sensed danger. The cultivators who were caught became like cut up fishes and meat. Even though they wanted to resist, the threads binding them were incomparably resilient. They even contained the power of Ageless laws. No matter how hard they tried, it was all to no avail.

Chen Feng himself had tried to break out. But after trying several times, he gave up. He knew that even if he could break out, he would not be able to escape. If so, he would have to find an opportunity after entering the black hole.

Despite how weak the threads appeared, no one there could break them. As for Chen Feng, after giving up, he felt s.p.a.ce-time flowing before everything before him turned dark. Seeing that, Chen Feng knew that he was already inside the unknown hole. 

A thick blood energy stimulated Chen Feng and his eyes instantly turned blood-red in colour. After taking just one breath, Chen Feng felt himself in danger of losing his mind. A sea of blood appeared from deep inside him and everything turned blood red.

Chen Feng pushed himself to his very limits just to barely maintain a hint of clarity. However, the streams of blood energy inside him began flowing out from his body.

The Longevity Flame burned and the Divine Eyes of Heavenly Insight was pushed to its very limits. Finally, Chen Feng was able to see where he was at.

Thick b.l.o.o.d.y light surrounded him and some objects could be seen wriggling within the b.l.o.o.d.y light. At the same time, the objects also released a very special power to devour and erode every part of his life force.

Just what is this place? Chen Feng widened his eyes. Starlight flashed out, transforming into a barrier of stars to protect him. 

“This is a fleshly body!” Tower's voice rang out within Chen Feng's sea of wisdom. At the same time, a power poured into Chen Feng's body. Thanks to that, Chen Feng's soul, which was in a state of turmoil, regained its clarity.

“Fleshly body. That's right! This is a fleshly body. Could it be? Am I currently inside some creature's body? Does it want to digest and refine us?” A trace of golden colour suddenly appeared alongside the spiritual light within Chen Feng's eyes. Thanks to that, his gaze was able to instantly pierce through the b.l.o.o.d.y light. He saw a ferocious power beating amidst the densely-structured flesh.

It truly is a fleshly body. Eh? Wait, my eye power has improved! It actually contains hints of the power and laws of a half-step Gold Immortal! Chen Feng was feeling somewhat shocked. Immediately, though, he became delighted. While part of it was due to the Longevity Tower's power, another part of it was the one million years' worth of power from a half-step Gold Immortal that was sealed within his body in the past. 

It would now appear that, as time went by, he would be able to slowly absorb and refine it.

This must be an extrterrestrial creature that the Carefree Palace is raising. They're treating us outsiders as nourishment. Instead of directly taking action against us, they utilized some illusion techniques to lure us in. This is quite the sinister move. 

After reaching that line of thought, Chen Feng then fired out a punch. This punch carried with it all of Chen Feng's might. In fact, he even blew up an Immortal artifact to increase the power behind the punch. And so, a formidable, volcanic-like power burst forward. This power was strong enough to destroy a planet. And yet, the b.l.o.o.d.y light before him shook to utterly unravel the power behind the punch. 

Unwilling to give up, Chen Feng attacked again. This time, he blew up several immortal swords and even mobilized the power of Divine artifacts. Finally, he managed to break the blood light before him. The formidable power of his punch then a.s.sailed the flesh there. Unfortunately, the power failed to create even a ripple before it was completely devoured.

Boom!

The flesh there wriggled slightly and the b.l.o.o.d.y light re-appeared. Seeing that, Chen Feng's face sank. He had wanted to attack again, but after reconsidering it, he finally decided to stop.

“Recklessly attacking before you can even grasp your situation? Even if you are a hundred times stronger, you can forget about getting out,” Tower suddenly said.

“What manner of creature is this?” Chen Feng's face was terribly contorted.

“You should be asking what level this creature is at,” Tower replied.

“Ten thousand cultivators are being devoured right now, many of them Heavenly Immortals. Could this creature be a high-level Heavenly Immortal? No, a half-step Gold Immortal!” Chen Feng pondered the situation and he grew shocked at his own conclusion. 

“Not a half-step Gold Immortal. A bona fide Gold Immortal,” Tower said, obliterating what little hope Chen Feng had left within him. 

“A bona fide Gold Immortal? Doesn't that mean we're never getting out?” Chen Feng stared with widened eyes.

“Not necessarily. While indeed a Gold Immortal, this is a wounded Gold Immortal. If not for that, there would've been no need to serve you fellows up as nourishment. Besides, according to my calculations, there's more to this. There are more variables at play here.”

“A wounded Gold Immortal is still a Gold Immortal. That's not the kind of existence that we can handle. What variables are you talking about?”

“How am I supposed to know?”

“If you don't know, why say that?” Chen Feng grew somewhat infuriated.

“Don't worry. Let me perform a divination.” A hand tore through the b.l.o.o.d.y light to plunge into the fleshy part before abruptly pulling to rip out a piece of the flesh there. As a result, formidable shockwaves spread out from that part, destroying the defensive barrier over Chen Feng's body. Even his fleshly body was wounded from the shockwaves. 

Next, a piece of flesh – the size of a small mountain – appeared within the Longevity Tower. Immediately, Chen Feng felt the Longevity Tower sinking. Sensing that, Chen Feng knew that this piece of flesh was far heavier than his imagination.

The ripped part of the flesh squirmed for a moment before recovering and b.l.o.o.d.y light shone once more.

“Tower, how long will the divination take?” Chen Feng resisted the surrounding power of erosion while working on healing himself. 

“This is the flesh of a Gold Immortal. I will need some time.”

“What about me, then? Do I hide inside the Longevity Tower?”

“Why are you such an idiot? Can you not see that this is a good place for cultivation? The flesh of a Gold Immortal! This is a chance that would rarely appear even in a billion years.” Tower sounded disappointed when he said that.

“A Gold Immortal's flesh is indeed quite good. But do not forget, I am just a minor True Immortal,” Chen Feng was quick to retort.
