“There has been nothing from Sha Xian and the others so far. I believe someone must have stopped them,” Da Feng said after a moment's consideration.

“If we cannot get any reinforcements, all of us will likely die here,” Tun Ri said.

“What, are you scared?” Da Feng said with a chuckle.

“Of course not! If they want to kill me, they will have to pay the price for it! Only, I didn't think that so many people would attack us. Say, is our Boundless Corps' actions too overbearing?”

“It is precisely due to our overbearing behaviour that the Boundless Corps can develop to its present level. If we had shown weakness from the very beginning, others would have gulped us down long ago. Not even bones would be left behind.” Da Feng laughed.

“Your words make sense.” Tian Wu descended from the sky before falling to the ground. His body was covered with wounds and a thick air of blood and killing energy swept out from him. But despite his pale face, his eyes were s.h.i.+ning brightly. His state of mind was still very good.

“Are you alright?” Da Feng asked, a note of concern in his voice.

Without waiting for them to ask him, Tian Wu said, “I've killed 103 fellows, all Heavenly Immortals. However, I lost six of my subordinates. The opponents were cultivators from the Immortal Plane. Someone hired them.”

“The one hiding behind them is from our Celestial Longevity Plane. They're getting more despicable. Still, that kid sure is fast at running away. I actually failed to see who it is.”

“Humph! Just some clowning jesters. No matter how many of them comes, we'll just kill them all. We'll have them know that our Boundless Corps is not to be trifled with!” Tun Ri said, killing intent billowing out from him.

“So what if we can kill off 10,000 fellows on the enemy side if we have to lose one on our side. The dead will be incapable of returning to life. Our lives are precious. The Young Master still needs us. We cannot recklessly throw our lives away.” Knowing Tun Ri's temper, Da Feng could only use Chen Feng's name to rein him in.

Suddenly, an area of s.p.a.ce there shook violently and a spatial pa.s.sageway appeared. Tie Zhen, Jin Feng and another cultivator known as Mu Ren stumbled out from the spatial pa.s.sageway. They were so badly wounded that all they could do was remain lying on the ground.

Da Feng and the others swiftly stepped forward to treat them. After some time, their situation stabilized, but some more time was needed for them to fully recover from their wounds.

“What happened?” Tun Ri asked loudly.

“We were attacked. I lost six of my guys. In order to cover our retreat, Huo Long had to burn his life force, but the opponents ripped him apart in the end.” After saying that, Tie Zhen's eyes turned red. Tears trickled down Jin Feng and Mu Ren's eyes. 

“Who did it?” Tun Ri shouted, his hand grasping the air. Next, a spatial pa.s.sageway appeared. Back when the earlier spatial pa.s.sageway closed up, he had locked down its coordinate.

“You must not go! They're from the Celestial Malla Plane! They have a high number of people on their side. Additionally, they also have some experts there!” Tie Zhen was quick to say.

“Are the guys from the Celestial Malla Plane also taking part in this now?” A look of concern appeared on Da Feng's face.

“It is a little strange. Those fellows from the Celestial Malla Plane do not look like they are here just for us. Rather, it seems as though they are looking for something,” Tie Zhen said, doubt in his tone.

“Looking for something? Humph! If they are not here for us, why did they end up starting a fight with you fellows?” Tun Ri said with a scoff.

“We just happened to b.u.mp into each other. However, they did not come out of the fight easy. We killed off 10 or so of their guys. Though, I did see Magiris Blackwater there.”

“Magiris Blackwater? The genius of the Blackwater Tribe? Born with the Magic Eyes, he was one of the Young Master's playmate in the past. What is he here for? Is he also after the Young Master?” Da Feng was taken aback.

“By the way, what level is the kid at now? Did he attack?” Da Feng asked again.

“He should be at the half-step Gold Immortal stage. It's strange. He definitely saw us, but he did not take action. If he had attacked us, not a single one of us could have returned alive.”

“Forget it, then. We'll talk about this again after the Young Master is back,” Da Feng said.

“I fear we won't be able to last that long.” Brightmoon led a group of men over. Seeing the grim expression on her face, they all knew that something must have happened.

“Over a thousand Heavenly Immortals? Hah! Even if we kill them all, there will likely be a second wave and third wave. The other party wants to utterly exhaust us. Since when did we, cultivators from the Celestial Longevity Plane, have to face something like this?” Tun Ri grew somewhat enraged.

“Did you contact Senior Dark Night?” Da Feng asked.

A roundish black bead silently flew into the air while Tun Ri and the rest rapidly retreated.

First, minute rays of golden light emerged from the black bead. Then, a dazzling wave of light swept outwards and not even a half-step Gold Immortal was able to tell in detail what was happening.

After the golden light was gone, nearly 300 Heavenly Immortals had been reduced to ash. Additionally, there were over 200 that were badly wounded and they cried out in misery.

“Gya ha ha ha ha!” Seeing this victorious scene, Tun Ri could not stop himself from guffawing.

Da Feng, on the other hand, did not appear as happy. Instead, he grumbled, “Your Blazing Sun should be left for the most crucial moment. No matter what, it should at least be able to kill off a half-step Gold Immortal. So what if you kill off more of these small fries with it?”

“This time, I've already taken out everything I have. I say, you fellows, stop h.o.a.rding your stuff. By killing off all the enemies here, we will be able to deter others somewhat,” Tun Ri simply responded with a smile. 

“I will not casually use my trump card.” Da Feng shook his head.

That one Blazing Sun had killed off hundreds of Heavenly Immortals. Due to that, the others had long since fled from terror. However, Tian Wu and the others caught up to them and began a ma.s.sacre, almost wiping them all out.

Just as victory seemed within their grasp, a beam of sword light suddenly appeared from the void to pierce Tun Ri's body.

“A half-step Gold Immortal!” Tun Ri shouted, clenching his teeth.

“Die!”

It was then that Da Feng opened his mouth. A feather flew out with breakneck speed to slip into the void.

“Urgh!”

s.p.a.ce shook and a cultivator in black was forced out of hiding. A feather could be seen stabbing his chest and cracks kept spreading out from it.

The simultaneous attacks from Brightmoon, Tian Wu and Tie Zhen landed on the cultivator in black's body at the same time and the number of cracks rose rapidly. In the end, the cultivator in black shattered into pieces.

“To think that a great half-step Gold Immortal would lurk around and become an a.s.sa.s.sin. Not a shred of dignity!” Da Feng scoffed.

“Check up on Tun Ri.” They were all feeling somewhat concerned. That earlier had been an attack from a half-step Gold Immortal.

“I won't die from something like this. However, my essence power was damaged. I fear I won't be able to fight for the time being.” The wound on Tun Ri's body kept wriggling, but it was incapable of closing up any time soon.

“Clear the battlefield and gather up our men,” Da Feng ordered. The feather that Da Feng fired out earlier was his lifebound feather. Like Tun Ri's Blazing Sun, it was something that Da Feng had nurtured within his body using his essence power for a lengthy period. However, the cost of utilizing the feather was very high. Unless absolutely necessary, he would not utilize it. That said, saving Tun Ri and killing off a half-step Gold Immortal was truly worth it.

Somewhere far away, a group of people had been keeping constant watch over everything that was unfolding there. However, even after the war was over, they did not choose to take action.

Sword beams kept falling upon Chen Feng and sword marks appeared on the surface of the combat armour formed using the fragment of the Great Wilderness Ding. Although the sword beams were incapable of piercing the combat armour, a portion of their power was able to make it into Chen Feng's body.
