Chen Feng then flew away from the mountaintop as he headed towards the source of the energy waves.

When he arrived, he saw a bright-red mountain rising high up into the sky. With a height of 1,000 zhang, it looked similar to a gigantic fire diamond. Clear and crystalline in quality, it seemed as though fire was growing out from it.

The most important part here was that this flaming mountain contained a formidable power and grand dao laws.

It is at the level of an Immortal-tier magic treasure. This is a magic treasure from Flame World. A pity, Flame World was destroyed a long time ago. Chen Feng revealed himself. 

There were several people fighting there. One of the cultivators there happened to be a familiar face. It was none other than the one who had tried to s.n.a.t.c.h the Essence Spirit Bead from Chen Feng earlier. As his arm had been severed by an Immortal artifact back then, it remained severed even now. That said, he was looking much better.

The cultivator stood beside another three cultivators as they observed the fight going on there. When he saw Chen Feng appear, a hint of dread and hatred flashed across his eyes.

However, he knew how powerful Chen Feng was. Thus, he dared not rush forward. Instead, he secretly contacted the three cultivators beside him. Next, the three cultivators cast furtive glances at Chen Feng. Chen Feng could clearly see the light of greed within their eyes.

Chen Feng secretly scoffed. Looks like they want to die.

There were three groups of cultivators engaged in battle there. Additionally, there were also two fire-type yao beasts at the Yao Immortal (Earthen) stage. They must be the local yao beasts, the ones guarding this Immortal artifact fragment.

As for the rest, some were from Eternal World and some were from Domain World. One was from the Demon Plane and one actually emanated the aura of Flame World.

Naturally, there were also several others who simply chose to watch the battle from afar. They did not attempt to join the fight for the flaming mountain.

Where did these fellows come from? Looks like there must be other pa.s.sageways leading to Spirit Essence Tower. After coming to that conclusion, Chen Feng then took action to collect the flaming mountain.

Yet more cultivators have come seeking death.

As expected, the death seekers came. The three cultivators rushed forward to stop Chen Feng. As for the cultivator with the severed arm, he remained at the same spot. Only, there was a thoughtful look on his face.

“Kid, judging by the aura coming from you, you must be from Eternal World, no?” One of them asked.

Chen Feng ignored them and continued moving forward.

His action angered the three cultivators. They took action simultaneously, bringing out a whip each. To Chen Feng's surprise, all three whips were pseudo-Immortal artifacts.

No wonder they would still choose to take action against me despite knowing that I possess an Immortal artifact. It turns out they possess good magic treasures. Even so, they will still die in the end. Chen Feng waved and the Heaven Piercing Lance thrust towards one of the three cultivators.

“Ha ha ha! Did you think you're some amazing character just because you possess an Immortal artifact?” The three cultivators laughed and they brandished their whips and the soft power of water ripples spread out, seemingly without restraint. Ripple after ripple spread forward to block Chen Feng's attack.

“The dao of water. I would like to see how many of my attacks you can block.” Chen Feng snickered and the Heaven Piercing Lance in his hand thrummed as it fired out a skyful of lance silhouettes forward.

Pa! Pa! Pa! Pa! Pa!

The three whips were successively shattered apart and the three cultivators sprayed out blood as their figures were sent flying, horror etched on their faces.

In their opinion, even though Chen Feng was in possession of an Immortal artifact, he was still just a Human Immortal. How strong could he be? After exchanging blows with him, however, they ended up becoming highly regretful. Oh, no. They didn't just become highly regretful. They also ended up coming face to face with death.

“Don't attack! I'm willing to surrender!”

All three screamed at the same time. However, the Heaven Piercing Lance had already left Chen Feng's hand. Like a stick skewering hawthorn candies, it pierced through all three cultivators and the Immortal artifact's power quaked apart their souls so quickly, they did not even get the chance to let out a wail of pain.

Seeing that, the cultivator with the severed arm trembled. Turning, he fled.

Chen Feng summoned back the Heaven Piercing Lance. Upon grabbing the lance, he fired out a blast of sharp wind with it and the fleeing cultivator blew up.

Sigh! Killing these Earthen Immortals is like just like bullying others. Chen Feng mumbled to himself. If others were to hear what he had just said, they would surely grow startled. Chen Feng was just a Human Immortal. A Human Immortal killing off several Earthen Immortals was considered bullying others? Are you joking here?

As for the three groups that were fighting one another there, they stopped. All of them cast peculiar looks at Chen Feng. As for the other onlookers, they grew flabbergasted. Where did this G.o.d of Carnage emerge from? He could so easily kill off four Earthen Immortals! Is this still a Human Immortal? Right, this fellow's aura is fleeting. He must be an expert who is deliberately utilizing a technique to disguise his own power.

To their surprise, Chen Feng simply walked forward to stand before the flaming mountain.

As for the cultivators there, they simply stood by and watched. Rather, some revealed a look of one waiting to watch an amusing scene.

As the Heaven Piercing Lance was about to approach the flaming mountain, a huge flaming hand emerged from the flaming mountain, charging forward to grasp Chen Feng's head.

Chen Feng smiled in response as the Heaven Piercing Lance continued stabbing forward to strike the flaming mountain. Meanwhile the semi-transparent silhouette of the Longevity Tower appeared over him to block the flaming hand.

As expected, this Immortal artifact fragment still contains a strand of its artifact spirit. Its power is enough to even stop an Ascendant Immortal. However, it will not be able to last long. It may be able to easily repel these Earthen Immortals, but meeting me is simply bad luck for it. Pulling back the Heaven Piercing Lance, Chen Feng fired out another thrust. Again and again, the lance stabbed forward incessantly. Chen Feng used only that one form of attack, ignoring the huge flaming hand that was attacking him.

Finally, the lance attack that Chen Feng unleashed managed to pierce its way into the flaming mountain. A wail rang out from inside the flaming mountain and the final wisp of its artifact spirit disappeared.

With a wave of Chen Feng's hand, the flaming mountain then disappeared into the Longevity Tower. 

The moment it entered the Longevity Tower, it became subjected to attacks. The Longevity Tower's power suppressed it and the Netherbone Lance stabbed it again and again. Even the Steel Enigma Sword – now a low-grade Immortal artifact – was swirling around, slicing continuously to swiftly hack the flaming mountain into pieces. Next, all the cut pieces were melted and fused into the Longevity Tower. Only, some of its power of fire was retained. Chen Feng had some use for them.

Witnessing Chen Feng collect the Immortal artifact fragment, the cultivators were all flabbergasted yet again. They had been fighting a b.l.o.o.d.y battle against one another for so long for this magic treasure. Unexpected, this kid who came out of nowhere would end up taking it away. 

Naturally, there were also some who could not accept this. Due to the allure of the Immortal artifact fragment and the Immortal artifact in Chen Feng's possession, they attacked. Additionally, they were even joining forces for it. They were aware that their individual might was insufficient against Chen Feng. Thus, they had chosen to attack together, despite not having come to a prior agreement.

“You guys have a death wish.”

Chen Feng waved and the Heaven Piercing Lance flew forward to nail one of the cultivators to the ground. Another wave and the Netherbone Lance flew out to nail yet another cultivator to the ground.

At the same time, the Steel Enigma Sword appeared in his grasp. Holding the sword with both hands, he then swung furiously with it. Golden light flashed out as an astral sword swept forward to send the rest of the cultivators flying.

“Humph!”

Letting out a harrumph, Chen Feng then beckoned and the Immortal artifacts flew back into his body.

Ignoring them, Chen Feng then left. He had already obtained the item he wanted. As there was no need to slaughter them all, Chen Feng decided to do just that.

After Chen Feng's departure, the fortunate few who survived sighed again and again. It was unknown if those were sighs of relief at surviving that encounter or sighs of regret at having the magic treasure s.n.a.t.c.hed from them.

Next up, Chen Feng managed to gain some more items. As he was continuing forward, however, he inadvertently found the spatial pa.s.sageway leading to the 11th floor. 

Chen Feng hesitated for a moment before finally deciding to enter the 11th floor. Although the fragments here were quite alluring, for Chen Feng, entering the 11th floor was more alluring.

The spatial pa.s.sageway flickered. Next, a jade talisman fell onto Chen Feng's hand. Seeing that, Chen Feng was stunned. Next, however, a wry smile appeared on his face.

Entering the 11th floor required one to be at the Earthen Immortal stage.

Realizing that, Chen Feng initially grew vexed. However, he was quick to recollect himself. He even considered if he should just a.s.sail the Earthen Immortal stage right there. In the end, however, he decided against it.

Now is not yet the time to be a.s.sailing the Earthen Immortal stage. Since I cannot enter, I will stay here for a while longer. I can check and see what other items are buried underground.

As expected, Chen Feng managed to obtain some more gains. He obtained several more Immortal artifact fragments. To Chen Feng's regret, however, he was unable to find an intact magic treasure. Even large fragments were rare there.

After spending some more time training himself inside the Spirit Essence Tower, Chen Feng then left. Only after he had reached the Earthen Immortal stage would he be returning again.

After returning to East Dragon Island, Chen Feng found that the whole world of cultivation was becoming increasingly lively. The reason for that? The Planar War was coming.

Planar War. Simply put, during this time, all the cultivation worlds and life-bearing planets would send a high number of cultivators to a place, one without any end in sight. There, those forces would wage war on one another.

Regardless of victory or defeat, the ones who chose to partic.i.p.ate in the Planar War will receive a generous reward from the Immortal Plane.

Bluntly speaking, everything was under the Immortal Plane's control. Naturally, the battles waged by the partic.i.p.ants would fall under the monitoring of those from the Immortal Plane as well. Due to that, Chen Feng had a low impression of it. Rather, he even felt disdain for it.

This was just a game between those high-level fellows.

That said, be it for the sake of the rewards, pressure from others or dignity and reputation, every one of the partic.i.p.ating forces would send forth their strongest cultivators for this war.

Of course, there was a need for Chen Feng to partic.i.p.ate in the Planar War as well. Even if it was only for fun, he had to partic.i.p.ate to check it out. Some of his friends will also be partic.i.p.ating in it.

East Dragon Island could already be considered as a formidable force within Eternal World's world of cultivation. Thus, there was a need to select some elite cultivators for this.

Truth be told, Chen Feng had long since made up his mind. He decided to select some Human Immortals and Sky Human cultivators to partic.i.p.ate in the war. As for Earthen Immortals, he chose not to send any. Those fellows were needed to defend East Dragon Island. Besides, the small number of Earthen Immortals he possessed would not be able to make much of a difference.

After a careful process of selection, Chen Feng selected 100 Human Immortals and 1,000 Sky Human cultivators. When compared to the other sects, the number of men that East Dragon Island was sending out was neither too many nor too little. It was somewhere in the middle.
