Even before the Domain Geocompa.s.s was done with its Heavenly Tribulation, the two Abyssal Ice Orbs had flown out. The two orbs were from the Abyssal Ice Behemoth and it hadn't been all too long since Chen Feng obtained them. “However, thinking of it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Given my cultivation talent, if my spiritual root had not been damaged back then, what level would I have reached by now? The Heavenly Immortal stage, or the Gold Immortal stage?” Chen Feng sighed before chuckling.

“At the very least, the Heavenly Immortal stage. However, by repairing what was broken, it will be even stronger than before. Without having to overcome those difficulties, how could you unearth the deepest potential within you?”

“Makes sense. Perhaps, the disaster back then was a good thing for me. At the very least, I did obtain the number one Divine artifact of the Celestial Longevity Plane.”

“Humph! Back then, I wasn't just the number one Divine artifact of the Celestial Longevity Plane,” Tower grumbled.

“What? Could it be you are the number one Divine artifact of the Limitless Immortal Region?” Chen Feng laughed.

The Celestial Planes, Immortal Plane, cultivation worlds, life-bearing planets and countless other star regions together form a vast expanse of s.p.a.ce – seemingly limitless – known as the Limitless Immortal Region.

Hearing that, Tower fell silent. Although he thought highly of himself, he dared not claim to be the number one Divine artifact of the Limitless Immortal Region. In terms of pure combat power, there were indeed some Divine artifacts that were stronger than the Longevity Tower.

“Kid, just cultivate yourself properly. At present, you have not even entered the Immortal Plane. As for going to the other immortal regions… heh! That is not something that a cultivator at your level could partic.i.p.ate in.” Tower's voice then took on a different tone.

“I already know that. Strength! My strength is still too lacking! Even my cultivation rate is too slow. But now that my spiritual root is recovering, I should be able to explore outer s.p.a.ce soon enough.” Chen Feng laughed loudly. He was in high spirits and his essence, energy and soul power grew stronger. His fleshly body also improved by several notches. At his level, state of mind, comprehension and improvement in his essence, energy and soul power was the most important thing.

With every breath Chen Feng took, a wave of turbid energy would emerge from his whole body. The turbid energy was not a result of impurities. Rather, it was due to the new replacing the old.

“Those Ascendant Immortals are really stupid. Are they only able to hold on for this long?” Looking around, Chen Feng then shook his head.

For the second wave, the Immortal Plane sent forth even stronger cultivators. Amongst them were also the power of Heavenly Tribulation, created by the Heavenly dao. Chen Feng did not do anything. The Ascendant Immortals in charge of guarding the great arrays would not be able to hold on for much longer. That said, they had yet to suffer from any casualties.

Even though Chen Feng shook his head, he did not intervene. There was a reason why Chen Feng had stationed those Ascendant Immortals there. If they could survive, it would mean they had successfully honed themselves. Should they be unfortunate enough to die, that would mean they could only become cannon fodders.

Chen Feng had believed that, with the support of the great arrays and the hundreds of millions of cultivators from the East Dragon Island Alliance, they should have no issues repulsing the first few waves of attacks from the Immortal Plane. 

At that very moment, however, there were some discrepancies between his plan and reality. There was no way the Ascendant Immortals here could compare with the Ascendant Immortals from the Immortal Plane.

After receiving the secret vocal transmission from Chen Feng, Prince Blood Edge hesitated for a moment before leading his subordinates – ten plus blood cultivators – to join the battle. While the blood cultivators were not exactly stronger than the cultivators from the Immortal Plane, they were indeed slightly stronger when compared to the cultivators from Eternal World. Thus, with the a.s.sistance from Prince Blood Edge, the situation was changed.

Hey, you want get the benefits without contributing? No way. Chen Feng secretly snickered. In his plan, the blood cultivators were to serve as cannon fodders. Naturally, if they were to perform their duties well, Chen Feng did not mind letting them off.

The partic.i.p.ation of the blood cultivators dragged the battle for a while longer. Next, the forces that the Immortal Plane sent forward became increasingly strong. Prince Blood Edge had to face several Ascendant Immortals all on his own. The East Dragon Island Alliance's side began falling into an unfavourable situation.

“Chen Feng, are you not going to take action yet?” Prince Blood Edge shouted.

Chen Feng frowned before dispatching a new force into the battle. This new force consisted of 20 Ascendant Immortals. Some of them had only just reached the Ascendant Immortal stage recently. In Chen Feng's opinion, this was a good time to hone them. The rest, though, were gathered from the other sects and forces. For Chen Feng, these fellows could not be considered as elites and their combat power was far inferior compared to the blood cultivators.

As expected, they began suffering from casualties. Seeing that caused Chen Feng's eyelids to twitch, but he continued to do nothing for some time. Instead, he continued to calmly observe the chaos.

“Chen Feng, hurry up and take action!” someone shouted. This time, it was not Prince Blood Edge. Rather, it was one of the Ascendant Immortals who recently joined the East Dragon Island Alliance.

“I'll have to trouble the four of you to take action,” Chen Feng said.

The four great Yao Overlords had been waiting eagerly for this. Thus, they charged into the battle the moment Chen Feng said that. The strength of the four Yao Overlords was comparable to that of Prince Blood Edge. The moment they took action, they killed off four golden-armoured cultivators. Seeing that caused Prince Blood Edge to secretly grow wary. He didn't think that Chen Feng's subordinates would possess this level of strength.

Chen Feng's face was impa.s.sive, but he was secretly taking action. Some of the thicker threads of golden light floating within the Longevity Tower flew out before disappearing.

“Kid, you sure are generous. And also insidious.” Tower cackled.

“There's no helping it. This is just a precautionary measure.” Chen Feng shook his head.

Bi Qing, who had been standing beside Xian Yun all this time, suddenly shook. A look of shock flashed across his eyes. His aura burst out vigorously for a brief moment before calming down again.

“What happened?” Xian Yun had managed to notice the abnormal actions from Bi Qing earlier.

“It's nothing. Seeing this makes me feel a little excited.” Bi Qing shook his head.

“For now, there is no need for us to take action.” Xian Yun did not suspect anything.

“Xian Yun, if a True Immortal really appears, I hope you can help out.”

“Don't worry, even killing off a few True Immortals from the Immortal Plane is nothing. Still, it looks to me like you are treating this Chen Feng quite well,” Xian Yun said with a casual tone.

“Ha ha! We're just helping one another here.” 

“Helping one another.” Xian Yun laughed as well.

“We're about there now. If I don't take action now, those fellows are going to object.” After saying that, Chen Feng mobilized the great arrays. The power of the nine Great Heavenstealing Arrays fused up into one, forming a whip in Chen Feng's hand. With a casual swing of the whip, a cultivator from the Immortal Plane was killed.

Every swing of the whip would reap the life of one of the Ascendant Immortals from the Immortal Plane. By the time the whip's power was exhausted, up to tens of cultivators had died to it. It had also shattered apart over 100 streams of power of destruction created by the Heavenly dao.

The instant the whip disappeared, two black-armoured cultivators appeared within the great arrays, one from the front and one from the back. The two of them wielded lances, which they stabbed towards Chen Feng.

“To think that you fellows can silently sneak into the great arrays that I set up, extraordinary.” Despite saying that, Chen Feng did not move. Instead, the Blood Mustering Bead appeared before him and nine talons flew out to drag the black-armoured cultivator in front into the Blood Mustering Bead.

Earlier, the Blood Mustering Bead had levelled up to the mid-grade Immortal tier. Even the nine Poisonous Vileblood Wyrms inside it had advanced to the Ascendant Immortal stage.

Many cultivators have died here, a good number of them Ascendant Immortals. The Blood Mustering Bead had devoured most of the blood power generated from this bloodbath. If it weren't for the fact that there wasn't enough time, the Blood Mustering Bead might be able to even level up further to the high-grade Immortal tier.

That said, a mid-grade Immortal artifact was already enough to deter the other party. Even in the Immortal Plane, this was something that the cultivators there would fight over. Even for Xian Yun, seeing the Blood Mustering Bead caused his eyes to flash for a brief moment.

Two cultivators suddenly appeared behind Chen Feng. One of them swung his sword to block an incoming attack while the other one swung his sword to kill off the other black-clad cultivator. 

The two of them were Patriarch Heavenly Sword and Patriarch Hegemon Sword. After lurking around all this time, they finally revealed themselves.

“Kid, we're truly going big here. I have already stolen over 200,000 immortal dao laws. I have a feeling that a formidable fellow is going to take action. You need to be careful,” Tower reminded Chen Feng.
