Chapter 4 – Shen XiTong is coming back

“Mom.”

“Yeah, I know, I'll go back home on time in the evening.” As Shen QingLan finished, she hung up the phone.

“Your mother?” Grandma Shen looked at Shen QingLan's calm face and asked.

Shen QingLan nodded slightly and explained. “Shen XiTong is coming back home, They are holding some welcoming dinner for her, mother let me go back to have dinner this evening.”

Grandma Shen's face dimmed, although she didn't say anything, the hand that was holding her granddaughter's hand became more tighter.

Shen QingLan patted her grandma's hand gently. “Grandma, I'm fine, you can rest a.s.sured.”

Grandma Shen looked at Shen QingLan's back and let out a long sigh. She didn't have much time left. How long could she still protect this child? And when she died, how would her granddaughter be?
