But he lost sight of the rabbit, and because it was getting dark, he had to return home without even the watermelon. Basically a story about being too greedy and ending up with nothing in the end. Not too sure where the sesame seed part came from, unless it’s based on a different version of the story from what I came across.OH apparently it’s about a monkey who lost/gave up the watermelon for a sesame seed. Basically means that he paid attention to minor things (the child’s parentage?) at the expense of bigger things (her love for him). ↩
