“Have you noticed that Handsome Su hasn’t come looking for us in a while?” Pudding asked, her spirits low.

“Oh, that’s what you’re worried about? You’re thinking too much, Sis, I bet Handsome Su’s just busy, he treats us like his own daughters so he would never ice us…” Little Bean disagreed with her sister.

“I’m not saying that Handsome Su iced us, okay? I think… he may be depressed. Think about it, he used to always hang out with Uncle Tang, but now that Uncle Tang is in the States with our auntie, he’s all alone. Plus, Uncle Wei has a family so he can’t hang out very often. I bet Handsome Su is always bored after work.” Pudding felt bad for Su Yu; the twins loved Su Yu almost as much as they loved Qin Chu.

“I think I get what you mean now… Why don’t I call him and ask him to take us out to play? We can keep him company…” Little Bean blinked her big eyes and asked.

“That won’t help, our presence will not lift him out of loneliness. After all, we’re still children and he thinks of us as family.”

“You’re saying that Handsome Su needs love?” Little Bean suddenly realized what Pudding was talking about.

Little Bean walked away after losing interest in her sister’s worries. She ran back into her room and video-called Su Yu.

Su Yu was getting ready to go home when he received the video request. “Hi, Little Bean,” he smiled at the child in front of him.

“Handsome Su, what are you going?”

“Getting ready to leave work,” Su Yu replied.

“What are you doing after work?” Little Bean asked.

“Um… go home?” Su Yu answered after thinking for a few seconds.

“Have you been going out lately?”

“No, that idiot Tang Chuan gave me up for a woman, so I’m all alone now.” Su Yu smiled.

“Aw, poor kid… do you want to hang out with me and my sister?” Little Bean smiled sweetly.

“It’s okay, you guys don’t have to worry about me, I’m a grown-up already… Plus, work’s been exhausting so I crash as soon as I get home. I have maids who can come cook for me, or I just order delivery.” Su Yu refused Little Bean’s offer with a smile.

“Don’t you miss me?” She pouted.

“I do, but we chat every day, don’t we?” Su Yu said.

“But I haven’t seen you in so long… I don’t care, you have to buy me ice cream…” Little Bean was not about to give up. “Really? Ice cream?” Su Yu wasn’t sure what to say.

“What? Don’t you love me anymore?” Little Bean pouted.

“It’s not that… your mommy said not to take you out for dessert anymore… she said you’re five pounds heavier than Pudding, no?”

Little Bean said in all seriousness, “I’m still young, I don’t need to watch my figure. Mommy’s too nervous and controlling, we don’t have to listen to her…”

“Oh yeah? Then who else are you supposed to listen to?” Huo Mian had just gotten home from work, and she overheard her daughter talking loudly on her phone as she was walking towards her room to change. Little Bean was caught red- handed…
