“I’m fine…”
“Look, your dress is soaked. I’ll get you a new one…”
“Lulu, it’s not necessary. Go and tell the photographer that’s all for today…” Nie Lingxuan waved her hand tiredly.

“I can’t do it now. I feel dizzy and not well.”

Right now, Xixi was living with her. Since their parents were traveling abroad, she felt bored and moved to her elder sister’s place while Rick and his men stayed in a leased apartment nearby.
“Sis, you’re early today.” Xixi was happy to see her back.
“Yeah.”
“Sis, what’s wrong? You look pale.” Xixi studied her sister and found her expression was strange.
“I’m fine. I’m just tired due to the big load of work lately,” Nie Lingxuan said.
“Don’t work so hard. Money is never enough but our time in life is limited. Sis…” Xixi held her sister’s shoulders and tried to persuade her.
“Yeah. I know.”
“There’s so much work in the company lately? I’ll tell sister Mian and ask her to talk to President Su, so he won’t give you so much work.”
“No. Don’t do that. It’s not President Su’s fault. I took the workload myself.”
“Look at you. You still defend him so eagerly. I guess you still can’t get over him, right?” Xixi guessed.
“I…” Nie Lingxuan felt frustrated.
“Sis, did you see the news?” Xixi suddenly remembered the news she had read on her cellphone.
Nie Lingxuan was silent.
“Sis, you must accept reality. President Su is a man from a rich family and a target of many women. It’s a small deal that he’s got a girlfriend; in fact, we shouldn’t get surprised if he gets a new woman each day.”
“I know.”
“But you still feel bad about it, right? Do you have any… unrealistic expectations from him?”
“No. I just don’t understand why he can’t give me a chance if he can play with those young models…” Nie Lingxuan sounded self-doubting.
“You’re different from them. Sis, it’s because he thinks you are a good girl that he doesn’t want to play with you. You know the women on the news can never be his wife. With his ident.i.ty, he can’t marry any of those women.”
“Still, it’s better than never being close to him…” Nie Lingxuan said the words desolately, choking on her tears.
“Sis, you can’t think like this.”
“I just like Su Yu. What’s wrong with that?” Nie Lingxuan retorted, suddenly getting a bit emotional.
Xixi froze because she had never seen her quiet and obedient sister so worked up before.
