If Su Yu reacted a second slower, they would’ve both died. Luckily, Su Yu had been driving for years and could handle a stick with his eyes closed. Moreover, he was so familiar with these streets and had never been in an accident, ever.

Although he had a hot temper, he was a very calm driver who would never drive so recklessly that he would put others in danger.

Therefore, it was a shock to Su Yu that something like this would happen tonight. He was driving through an intersection; there were only two people in his sports car, and he didn’t speed nor run a red light.

The truck, however, had run a red light and was speeding towards them from the intersection to their right.

If Su Yu reacted a second later, Han Yueyao would’ve died on the spot. But he didn’t – as soon as he realized what was happening, Su Yu stepped on the gas pedal as hard as he could. Although the truck was driving very quickly, it only crashed into the tail of Su Yu’s Lamborghini.

However, because of his high speed, the truck knocked Su Yu’s car onto a tree off to the side of the road. As his car crashed, Su Yu instinctively turned the steering wheel left so he could protect the person on the pa.s.senger’s seat.

As they crashed, Han Yueyao’s entire body was in pain. She thought she was going to pa.s.s out until the ambulance arrived, like the victims of the TV shows she had seen.

However, she was awake the entire time and felt every nerve in her body respond to the pain.

After five years, Su Yu’s Lamborghini had officially retired. However, under those circ.u.mstances Su Yu really didn’t have any other choice.

The good news was, they crashed on a street that was filled with nightclubs and bars. So, although it was past midnight, there were still a lot of people out on the streets.

Some called the police, others called the ambulance.

Su Yu felt like his head had become heavier and felt something warm begin to drip. He couldn’t move at all…

“Su Yu, wake up, don’t sleep, stay awake!” Han Yueyao wasn’t injured as badly, so she kept yelling at Su Yu so he wouldn’t pa.s.s out.

“Stop being so annoying, you’re making too much noise for me to fall asleep,” Su Yu responded, tasting the blood in his throat. However, as a man from northern China, he would never admit that he was in pain; it would be too embarra.s.sing.

“The ambulance will be here soon, stay awake, okay?” Han Yueyao began to sob; she had never been so scared in her life. She wasn’t worried that the Su family would blame her, she felt guilty because Su Yu tried to protect her. Plus if something were to happen with Su Yu, she would never be able to see him again…

For the first time in her life, she felt pure terror.

“It’s not like I’m dying…” Su Yu joked.

Perhaps they recognized Su Yu’s license plate, the police, fire department, and ambulances from both the First Hospital and South Side arrived very quickly.

Technically, the First Hospital was closer, so they should be taken there. However, Su Yu immediately said, “Take me to South Side, I want to go to South Side.”

Han Yueyao knew that Su Yu wanted to go to South Side because he trusted Huo Mian. The paramedics didn’t want to offend Young Master Su, so the two nurses took them to South Side immediately.

Su Yu had been pushed into the operation room for at least ten minutes when Huo Mian got word of what happened. She and Qin Chu were about to go to bed when they received a phone call from South Side. They jumped into their car and drove towards the hospital without wasting another second.
