Hearing the big news that Huo Mian was hospitalized, her many friends all raced to the hospital to see her, including Jiang Xiaowei, Zhu Lingling, Qin Ning and Tang Chuan, who had just returned from the States.

The weird thing was that Qin Chu had never brought the twins to visit Huo Mian.

Gao Ran and Qin Chu waited in the corridor.

Gao Ran felt deep guilt.
“Gao Ran, I know you’ll be more alarmed, but I’ve got to tell you that more of such disappearances might happen.”
“What do you mean?”
“Anyway, you must send out more patrols. It might happen very soon…”

The kid’s parents were crazy with worry and the incident caused an uproar in the hospital.
Meanwhile, Huo Mian, no, Leila, was lying in bed and watching the news and listening to music leisurely.
She was in a great mood after having a good meal.
She could steal some bagged blood from the blood storage room in the hospital, but it wasn’t Leila’s style. She must have fresh blood from live people.
It was like how some people loved having fresh fish instead of frozen fish.
The young nurse who came to change bandages for her was gossiping about the missing kid.
“The atmosphere in the hospital is weird. Everyone is saying there’s a ghost in here, making me afraid to take night duties. For some reason, the kid just vanished. No one saw her go out of the hospital. But they searched the whole place and couldn’t find her… This is really creepy.”
“Do you believe there are ghosts in the world?” Huo Mian asked the young nurse with a smile.
“Hehe. Vice Director, you’re joking. We study medicine, so of course we don’t believe in ghosts… I’m not afraid of ghosts, but the creepy thing alarmed everyone.”
Huo Mian smiled but didn’t say anything.
“Huh? Vice Director, do you smell something?”
“No. What smell?” Huo Mian was expressionless.
“I seem to smell blood… Did your wound burst open?”
The young nurse had a keen sense of smelling; she pulled open the covering and checked the wound on Huo Mian’s chest.
