Before Huo Mian could reply, the door was pushed open.
They looked at the door and saw Su Yu walking in with a bag of food.
“Brother Su Yu.”
Zhixin stood up immediately and greeted Su Yu.
“Zhixin, you’re here, too.”
“Yeah. I came to see my sister.”
“Great. I bought lots of food. Let’s eat together.”
Su Yu was happy to see him and thought the more, the merrier.
Zhixin had been busy taking care of his mother and his wife and hadn’t had time to eat supper yet.
He was about to agree when Huo Mian interrupted, “Zhixin can’t join us. He needs to take care of our mom.”
Zhixin immediately understood her meaning.
“Yeah. Brother Su Yu, I’ll go and take care of our mom. You guys go ahead and eat.”
Zhixin licked his lips in embarra.s.sment, wondering why his sister was trying to drive him out.
In fact, he wanted to stay and have the meal with them…
Surprised, Su Yu handed a meal box to Zhixin. “I bought extra. You take some back to eat later.”

Taking the food, Zhixin walked out of the ward.
As Su Yu took out food boxes from the bag, Huo Mian, or Leila, looked him up and down and found he was no less attractive than Qin Chu; instead, he was more accessible.
He was a bit less handsome than Qin Chu; otherwise, he was perfect.
Now that Qin Chu was giving her cold shoulder, she turned her eyes toward Su Yu. She’d gain three benefits from seducing Su Yu. The first one was that she got to sleep with him; the second was that she’d set Su Yu and Qin Chu against each other; the third was she’d ruin Huo Mian’s reputation by sleeping with Su Yu while she was still married to Qin Chu.
Su Yu was oblivious of her scheme and thought she was only low in spirits and had a minor problem with Qin Chu.
“Great Dr. Huo, I bought so many. Which do you want to eat?”
“Pumpkin congee.” Huo Mian pointed at the congee.
Cautiously, he brought the congee over and pulled up the small table beside the bed.
“Su Yu, my hands are a bit numb. Can you feed me?”
Huo Mian had never cooked for him like this before and it almost melted his heart…
He wanted to feed her, but he knew his boundaries and didn’t want to be so intimate with her.
“Mian, you’d better eat it yourself… I brought you a spoon.”
“Su Yu, are you disgusted with me?”
Huo Mian looked sulky…
“What are you talking about? When was I disgusted with you? Come on, Dr. Huo.”
“Then why won’t you feed me?”
“It’s… too intimate. Mian, I know we’re only friends, but if Qin Chu saw it, he’d feel displeased even if he didn’t have a misunderstanding about us. We must consider his feelings.”
“But I’m not doing it on purpose. Are you saying I’m using you to make Qin Chu jealous?”
