It was the same accusation yet again. Ye Youyou’s eyes reddened even further. The torture and humiliation that she had endured all these years had been enough to drive her almost insane.

She had tried so hard to explain and make him understand that it hadn’t been her at all. But, it had been useless. It had been completely useless.

Ye Youyou held his hand with the intention of moving it away, but Shen Luo’an’s strength was too much for her. She couldn’t move it at all.

“Shen Luo’an, this is NC Corporation,” she said. “It isn’t your hospital, neither is it the Shen residence! You’d better release me. If I have to call security, you’re the one who’s going to be humiliated.”

Ye Youyou’s words were a warning. All she wanted was just for Shen Luo’an to release her. To his ears, her words sounded like a challenge that she had given him. Not only did he not loosen his hold, he tightened it until his fingers were eating into the skin. He raised his other hand high and delivered a stinging slap across Ye Youyou’s cheek.

Slap! The slap echoed through the quiet s.p.a.ce and was especially hard on the ears. Ye Youyou turned to look at Shen Luo’an in disbelief. Incredulity filled her eyes.

Her face began to burn. The feeling was foreign. At the same time, it etched itself into her bones. It was so painful she almost winced.

Shen Luo’an saw red and bellowed, “You s.l.u.t! You overstepped your boundaries, and you have the gall to be so arrogant! You’re really a f*cking s.l.u.t!”

As he spoke, his free hand lifted up Ye Youyou’s skirt and felt for her bottom. Ye Youyou yelped in surprise and finally began to panic.

With both hands, she tried to stop him, and yelled out, “Shen Luo’an!”

Her actions drove him even further to the edge. Shen Luo’an clenched his jaw and gave a humorless laugh. He forcefully rubbed against her and whispered menacingly, “I’ve never even touched you before, and you dared to have another man. You s.l.u.t. I…”

“What are you doing?” A booming voice suddenly sounded out. It stopped Shen Luo’an in his actions.

Before Shen Luo’an could turn his head, he felt his arms forcefully held back.

Ye Youyou felt a sudden sense of relief. She turned her head gratefully only to see a familiar face.

“Ha, it’s indeed you!” Shen Luo’an released his hold on Ye Youyou. His fist shot out toward Li Jinnan’s cleanly shaven face in a violent punch.

Li Jinnan had just finished his work. In his hand was a laptop. As he saw Shen Luo’an’s fist coming from the side of his eye, Li Jinnan’s military reflexes took over. He raised his laptop up as a s.h.i.+eld and blocked Shen Luo’an’s punch

Shen Luo’an’s fist had missed its mark, fueling his anger even further. He raised his hand to strike again, but Li Jinnan’s combat skills surpa.s.sed his by far.

With a turn of his hand, Li Jinnan used his laptop to smack Shen Luo’an on his face. The latter howled in pain and turned his face away.

Li Jinnan took advantage of the situation to distort Shen Luo’an’s hand. With his face pressed on the ground by Li Jinnan’s laptop, Shen Luo’an struggled for a while before bursting out in sudden laughter. “I’d long heard that Third Young Master Li had an uncommon background and was a retired military commander. I never expected you to be so formidable.”

Li Jinnan knew this person. He narrowed his eyes and enunciated each of his words clearly as he said, “This is my company. I have no opinion regarding whatever you do with your wife, but you better find a different venue. Otherwise, I’m afraid you’ll be spending tonight in the police station.”

“No. Please, no, GM Li. Don’t leave me.” Ye Youyou looked at Li Jinnan helplessly. Her fair face had already begun to swell. Tears streamed down her cheeks. “He will hit me…”
