Chapter 943: I Am an Orphan

After reaching an agreement, Ye Qianqian quickly helped Yu Lili clean up the room that Yu Lili was moving into. Ye Youyou occasionally came back to stay in the apartment’s other room, so a quilt and pillows were still there.
After Ye Qianqian took the other stuff out of the bedroom, she left so Yu Lili could go to sleep. However, Yu Lili couldn’t fall asleep successfully for a long time, since she was lying in a totally unfamiliar environment.
Yu Lili opened her eyes as she lay on the bed. Her mind was unclear.
She didn’t know what she was thinking, but there was a lot of information, a lot of thoughts, crossing her mind. It began to tangle, and it turned into a mess.
Yu Lili got up, picking up her digital screen, plugging it in, and grabbing the pen to start sketching lines.
At the same time, a Lincoln limousine was stopping at the gate of the community. A man held a cigarette between his fingers, and the smoke that rose from it filled the whole car with the smell of tobacco.
Ou Ming looked at the community for a long time, and then he drove away.
Sooner or later, I will take her back.
Her ident.i.ty will be simple: my girl.
Whether her insomnia was caused by the unfamiliar bed or just her bad mood, Yu Lili stayed up late to paint, and she didn’t feel sleepy until four or five o’clock in the morning.
Since the next day was Sunday, Yu Lili didn’t wake up until after ten o’clock. When she came to, she was immediately confused about where she was.
But she soon remembered her current situation.
She had already broken up with Ou Ming…
Part of her was a little sad, but more of her found it to be pleasant.
Yu Lili came out of her room, and Ye Qianqian obviously hadn’t gotten up yet. After Yu Lili washed up, she went out to buy vegetables and familiarize herself with the nearby roads.
Ye Qianqian hadn’t even gotten up when Yu Lili came back. However, since Yu Lili didn’t have the access code to enter the apartment, she felt a bit panicked.
Yu Lili pressed the doorbell, but no one responded for a long time. Later, Yu Lili picked up the phone and dialed Ye Qianqian’s number. She took a long time to pick up.
Yu Lili pressed the doorbell twice after hearing that there was a response, and Ye Qianqian immediately understood.
After hanging up the phone, Yu Lili heard the sound made by slippers from inside. Ye Qianqian opened the door, then lazily went back and continued to sleep.
It was almost noon when Yu Lili finished cooking.
Ye Qianqian woke up, and after rubbing her eyes and was.h.i.+ng her face, she smelled the aroma of the food.
Yu Lili saw Ye Qianqian and waved her over. “Wash your hands and come eat.”
Ye Qianqian looked shocked as she ran into the dining room. “You are so nice! My goodness, I am so happy. I can’t believe that I can eat homemade food. I don’t have to eat fast food anymore!”
Yu Lili served her a bowl of rice, deliberately frightening her with a cold face. “Wash your hands!”
“Sure!” Ye Qianqian ran to wash her hands and returned quickly. She took the soup from Yu Lili and smiled. “This is great, Lili. Did you learn cooking from your mother? You are so good at cooking, I guess your mother must be even better!”
Yu Lili shrugged after hearing the words. “I don’t have a mother, so I don’t know that. But I guess she shouldn’t be better than me.”
Ye Qianqian’s voice was silenced for a while, and she said with a tone of apology, “Did your mother… pa.s.s away?”
“I am an orphan. I have no father and no mother.”
