“I wasn’t sure! I didn’t know Shangguan Hao’s strength back then!” Su Mo shook his head and said.

“It was such a close call!” Xi’er was still frightened by the memories of that battle.

The couple flew over Emperor Spiritual City and headed toward Firmament Palace as they spoke.

There were several black-robed figures at the top floor of an inn in Emperor Spiritual City.

They stood at the window and stared at Su Mo and Xi’er intently.

“Su Mo has left Emperor Xuan Palace!”

“The First elder was right! Su Mo came to Emperor Xuan Palace!”

“Inform the First elder now. We’ve to kill him before he returns to Firmament Palace!”

The deep voices were bursting with an intense killing desire.

“Legend has it that this lake was only 500 kilometers wide several thousand years ago. However, it produced a Demon Empress called Hua Shan’er. She was a Flowery Coral Fish who was devastatingly beautiful!”

“She fell in love with a human man, but this man didn’t have a Martial Soul so he couldn’t become a martial artist. Therefore, he couldn’t stay by her side forever!”

“That man died after 100 years, and Hua Shan’er hugged his body and cried for seven days on the lake, before she committed suicide!”

“However, her tears increased the water level of Teardrop Lake by so much that its radius grew by almost 10 times and became a huge lake!”

Xi’er sounded depressed as she told Su Mo the story. This kind of beautiful but sad love stories seemed to impact her feelings greatly.

Su Mo glanced at Xi’er and smiled inwardly.

After a short while, he spotted a small town which spanned across a dozen miles, where the beam of light had appeared.

However, Su Mo was bewildered that the town was dead silent and there was no one around.

“What’s going on?” Although Su Mo was puzzled, he was not the slightest bit worried because he was confident in his strength and descended in the town with Xi’er.

Su Mo did not want to waste his time here, but the beam of light exuded an extremely powerful force, indicating that the treasure was extraordinary.

Hence, his curiosity was piqued and he wanted to find out what the treasure was.

“Brother Su Mo, this town is a little strange. There’s a faint smell of blood!” Xi’er frowned and said worriedly.
