Each of them had a solemn expression, as they were shocked by Su Mo’s ferocity. But, many also knew that the young man in yellow robes was from the Heavenly Palace, and that was why Su Mo had gone for a sneaky kill.

Gongsun Changjue had a change in options as he considered his options. If he were to act, what was his likelihood of beating Su Mo?

About one in four, he supposed, mainly because he was not highly trained himself, so he was lacking in all aspects.

“Su Mo, I agree you can take command of the Third City. But, if your plans are improper, I won’t do what you say!” Gongsun Changjue said solemnly as he compromised.

As long as they could ensure a win for the Third City, he did not mind whoever was the commander. They still had the next session to consider.

“We are working together, of course there’s room for discussion!” Su Mo said aloud. He was certain this would only be a short-term cooperation. Everyone had their own wants on their mind.

“That’s great!” Gongsun Changjue nodded.

“Alright, then I agree too!”

“Me too!”

“I have no objections to Su Mo leading the Third City!”

Many had spoken in support of Su Mo as their leader. They were truly convinced by Su Mo’s abilities.

Of course, despite being awed by his powers, they did not wish Su Mo to get the ultimate victory.

“Brother Mo Ye, Brother Li Yan, just let him lead! This isn’t worth fighting over!” Gongsun Changjue spoke solemnly to the Demon from the Ancient Demon State and the Sky Tyrant from the Sky Tyrant Holy Court. It seemed he knew them both.

The Demon stood at a burly nine feet tall, had long ears and a strong aura about him.

The Sky Tyrant, on the other hand, was even more astonis.h.i.+ng in terms in terms of height and size compared to the former. He stood at ten feet tall, with fiery red lights emitting from the muscles on his entire body like a piece of soldering iron. Quite fascinating indeed.

The two of them were well-known Favored Ones of the Diety Plane. Both had achieved Ninth Grade in training and could be competent with each other.

“I agree!”

“Me too!”

After listening to Gongsun Changjie, Mo Ye and Li Yan exchanged looks before nodding.

They did not wish for Su Mo to lead the Third City, but their current situation demanded that they should not clash with Su Mo. They had to play by ear.

“I agree too!”

“Same here!”

Thus, that was how one hundred and two people unanimously agreed to have Su Mo take over command of the Third City.

“You! You! And you two! I suggest you forfeit on your own!” Su Mo coldly pointed his long sword at four people among the crowd.

These four disciples consisted of one from the Great Rotating Divine Hall, two from the Lightning Flame Supreme Being Palace, and one from the Paramount Holy Palace.

These three forces saw him as an enemy. Su Mo would rather not have them under his wing, for fear of making unfounded countercharges.

“Su Mo, what do you mean?” One stout man frowned. He was the disciple from the Great Rotating Divine Hall. Initially, he had not agreed to let Su Mo lead the Third City, and only relented in the end. And yet, once he had changed his mind, Su Mo wanted him out. This exercise of power had gone too far!

The others frowned too. They knew one another and had figured out what was on Su Mo’s mind.

“Move up several thousand feet and you can leave this formation. If you don’t go, I’ll make you!” Su Mo pointed at the s.p.a.ce above them, at the Formation Hood currently shrouding the ten city cl.u.s.ters. The Hood permits exits but forbids reentry. So as long as they kept moving up, they could leave the Hood, and thereby forfeit on their own accord.

If these four people knew better, then Su Mo would not have to act. Between them, they held no grudges. But if the four of them were to retaliate, then he would have to make them.

“Y-You have gone too far!” the stout man raged, power cruising through his body, his aura boiling. How he wanted to get rid of Su Mo with one blow!

But he knew he could not beat Su Mo, so he held back his anger.

“I’ve give you one last chance. Forfeit, or else…!” Su Mo stared at them coldly, brewing murderous intent, as he slowly lifted his sword.

“Su Mo, you’re a vicious one!” Another person muttered and, with a twist of his body, disappeared into the firmament.

Between breaths, he had gone beyond the Formation Hood and surrendered.

Once they left the formation, there was no coming back.

The other two saw that, sighed, and did the same. They did not have the courage to face Su Mo in a fight.

“This…!” the stout man said as he pulled a long face. He planned to build alliance with the other three and get rid of Su Mo togther, but who’d have thought they would be such cowards.

“Goodbye!” he said and flew upwards, having chosen to compromise.

Yet, at the next moment, he switched direction and flew out of the city cl.u.s.ter instead.

Obviously, he did not plan to forfeit. Instead, he fled the Third City.

Everyone was stunned by this turn of events, even Su Mo. Who knew he would be so cunning!

“You have a death wis.h.!.+”

Just when the stout man was about to leave the city cl.u.s.ter, a killing intent flickered in Su Mo’s eye as he unleashed his Devouring Primordial Spirit.

Instantly, a giant Devouring Maelstrom emerged above his head as a strong devouring power swept out.

The city cl.u.s.ter was quite small, only at several thousand feet. The strong devouring power swiftly encased the stout young man.

Trapped by the devouring power, the stout young man’s galloping stature suddenly stagnated, and Su Mo greatly reduced the Maelstrom’s size.

Right at that moment, a sharp breaking sound cracked through the air. A magnificent Chaotic Sword Energy descended like lightning.

“No…!” the stout young man roared. With a flick of the sword, his soul was almost sent flying, but he slammed his fist with all his might in an attempt to block the blow.

But all efforts were in vain, as the strong devouring power attacked and destroyed its target.

The sword energy smashed his palm print and completed obliterated the stout young man, leaving not a single trace behind.
