She truly thought that it was funny to see him preach about work-life balance to her.

This fellow had never had work-life balance, but now he was telling her about it. Ha ha!

“I’m your boyfriend; of course, I have the right.” He raised his brow a little and then gently poked her on the forehead.

She took a sip of her coffee and then smilingly muttered while nodding nonstop. “Yes, yes, yes, my dear boyfriend. I’ll listen to you.”

“Okay. Right now, I’m only interested in knowing what we’re eating for dinner tonight.”

The way the man pondered on this made it seem as if he were considering matters of national importance. Eventually, he said, “There’s nothing left in the fridge. Let’s go take a look at the market tonight.”

“Okay. You’re forbidden interrupting me from here on! If not, I’ll take overtime again, and there won’t be fresh vegetables left for sale when we reach the marketplace!”
