“Teacher, do you think my parents are in danger?” asked Jiang Xuan. They were almost at Lang Xie City already. In less than half an hour, they would arrive in West Lang Xie. Jiang Xuan was growing more worried as they drew closer.

Lin Feng looked grave. He couldn't be sure that people from Lang Xie City were safe under the Lei Sect's occupation. He didn't know what they were doing there. Did they kill people, or did they just oppress and imprison them?

“Don't worry. They'll be fine. Trust me,” Lin Feng said. He couldn't show Jiang Xuan he was worried. He didn't want the boy to panic. He was just a child, after all. No matter what, he still thought like a child.

Jiang Xuan nodded and followed Lin Feng. Lin Feng held the boy's hand and they flew towards West Lang Xie.

Half an hour later, they arrived in the splendid and glorious city. It hadn't changed; on the contrary, it looked even more beautiful than it had in the past. Lin Feng was surprised.

Even though Lin Feng had never been to the Lei Sect, he had already sensed Lei Ben and Lei Kui's Qi, and didn't sense any thunder Qi in Lang Xie City. On the contrary, he could sense a cool spiritual Qi, which shook Lin Feng's Genesis spiritual strength.

The main gate of the governmental palace was open. There were a few guards, all looking vigorous and strong. They didn't seem to be worried by the Lei Sect's presence.

“Prince, please leave the governmental palace,” said the leader of the guards firmly yet politely. He didn't want to humiliate Lin Feng.

The guard's expression froze as he asked, “You want to go in?”

“What? Is there a problem?” asked Lin Feng skeptically.

The guard looked confused and said, “Don't you know that we are occupied by an ancient sect?”

“I know.”

“You know and you still want to go in? They're not as kind as our leader was. They will kill you if you go in,” said the guard neutrally. He was surprised that Lin Feng still wanted to go in. He didn't know why Lin Feng was being so brave.

“I know, so why couldn't I go in?” Lin Feng smiled.

The guards all shook their heads. They just thought he was reckless.

“Alright, since you really want to go in, go ahead!” said the guard, smiling wryly. Since Lin Feng didn't mind dying, why prevent him from going through? They wouldn't feel guilty, as they had warned him.

The guards thus opened the way.

“Thank you. Also, since Lang Xie City doesn't exist anymore, why do you still work as guards?” asked Lin Feng curiously.

“Why wouldn't we? The only thing that has changed is that the leaders of Lang Xie City are not the Jiangs anymore. Nothing else. We still need to work to eat and live,” said the guards casually. For them, nothing had changed!

When Lin Feng heard that, he understood. When Jian Xuan did, he was also rea.s.sured that his family was fine.

“Where are the Jiangs now?” asked Lin Feng seriously.

Lin Feng and Jiang Xuan entered the room. Lin Feng remembered the place, but it didn't seem so familiar anymore. Regarding Jiang Xuan, he had no familiar feeling at all, since he had never been to the main palace of West Lang Xie, he only knew the palace of East Lang Xie.

They entered the meeting hall. It hadn't changed much, but the Qi inside was more intense. It made people feel more powerful.

It was clear that Lang Xie City was occupied, even if the differences were subtle.

Lin Feng glanced around. He really didn't understand why the Lei Sect liked this place.

Lin Feng heard some steps. They were powerful, which meant it was a strong cultivator. His expression hardened. He pushed Jiang Xuan behind him and looked at the person who had just shown up.

It was a middle-aged man wearing a blue robe, with short light brown hair. He looked rather average, with no distinctive trait. The only thing Lin Feng could think of to remember his kind of face was that the man had small eyes.

“Lei Sect? Aren't they in East Lang Xie?” laughed the man in reply. Lin Feng's expression fell. The Lei Sect occupied East Lang Xie? What about West Lang Xie, then?

The man was from another sect? How did that happen?

Lin Feng was alarmed. At the same time, he was even more worried. Jiang Xuan's family probably wasn't having a good time in comparison to Jiang Yi Ze's family, who could continue working and living as usual.
