Chapter 168: Don't Kill Him! Translator: EndlessFantasy Translation Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

Despite declaring that he would take on more than thirty Tier 4 players at the same time on his own, it was an impossible feat for Qin Ruo. Even if the players came at him one by one, it would take him several hours just to recover the MP he would have lost. Who had the patience to wait?

Just then, the group of people there made their decision! Each party could send one or two players out to battle Qin Ruo provided they were part of the party that partic.i.p.ated in the operation back at the Snow Domain…

However, it was not without consequence!

Both sides would not proceed if the battle was seen as a duel. But something needed to be done in order to prevent either side from going into the red. Qin Ruo would need to launch a hostile attack at the opposing player. This could lead to two potential outcomes. Qin Ruo could die, and would need to be resurrected to resume battle. On the other hand, if he proved to be a formidable foe, the crowd could possibly agree to him being the victor!

With that in mind, the horde of players around started booing, yelling at them to not act so shamelessly. They were up against a mult.i.tude of players who were apparently having second thoughts about the whole thing. They appeared to be considering dropping their equipment in order to stay safe… What luck!

“We agree to your stipulated conditions. But you shall be facing a different opponent… Come and battle me if you think you're competent enough!” With a grim look on her face, Little Apple strutted out with her Dark Phoenix Spellbreaker Sword in hand. Her cold eyes gazed upon ten male players in front of her. Despite not having been resurrected immediately by a Priest, she exuded the aura of a proud woman, looking no less skilled than any man in the eyes of the spectators.

The ten players on the opposition were left agape, rendered speechless by Little Apple.

‘Who would want to actually battle you? You do not control your strength when you attack, and who knows how many Honor Points you have left. Who would we turn to if our equipment dropped?'

Standing beside Qin Ruo, Violetmoon Devilite, and Blue Princess looked at what was happening in awe. This was the first time they had ever seen such an intimidating female player. It was amazing! The other two behind her too. They had managed to kill off three men the moment they made their moves and even used their Honor Points in doing so! It was all just so awesome!

“Brother Qin, are they your friends?”

Violetmoon Devilite whispered in Qin Ruo's ear, appearing a little uneasy.

Qin Ruo nodded, smiling, before walking forward. Having girls step up for him was not something he could feel dignified about.

As he stopped by Little Apple, Burning Rose, and iLittle Arrow, he murmured something inaudible. Then, he turned around and fixed his eyes on the Beastblood Berserker who had challenged him to battle.

“I agree to meet all the conditions that were mentioned!”

“Alright!!”

The moment the words left his mouth, hundreds of spectators near and far cheered with excitement.

“Good job!”

“I support you! Make them suffer and die!”

“Try your best!”

“If you die, I shall resurrect you!”

Just as he heard those words, Qin Ruo felt himself stagger…

The first player up against Qin Ruo was the Beastblood Berserker who had tricked him and his three party members back in the Snow Domain—Wildfire Bro.

Comparing the situation now with the incident that he encountered with the warp portal back then, Wildfire Bro seemed to have lost the flame in his eyes. Having looked down upon the players earlier, he now felt a chill down his spine as he stared at the three attractive ladies in the crowd. Looking at them made him realize that unlike the Aquamancer he had fooled earlier, he had no one to back him up.

A Tier 4 Warrior possessing Honor Points was definitely different from an ordinary Tier 4 player. His opponent's party had been killing their way across the ruthless Mythical Battlefield… Their battle prowess would be undeniably far more superior than those of ordinary Tier 4 players.

Initially, players did not really fear those who possessed Honor Points. However, seeing how the three ladies beat players with their swords fiercely without a care about the risk of losing their Honor Points had most certainly struck the hearts of the onlookers with a deadly chill. They were not just any random players anyone could take on.

As he stood before Qin Ruo, Wildfire Bro was suddenly at a lost at what to do…

Should he just attack Qin Ruo with full strength? Or should he hold back a little? Pondering on those thoughts, Wildfire Bro took a big gulped, trying to moisten his parched throat.

Taking advantage of his lack of action, Qin Ruo, who was twenty meters away, quickly set up a layer of Aquabarrier in front of him, and immediately launched an Aqua Bullet directly above Wildfire Bro's head. There was a big splash as the water made contact with its victim, drenching him completely.

“F*ck!”

Although he noticed the sudden attack, he did not have time to defend himself. Soaked all over, Wildfire Bro wiped his face and responded to the system's Counter Stance notification that came right after. Cursing aloud in rage, he activated his Berserk without delay and charged straight at Qin Ruo!

“F*ck you!”

In response, Qin Ruo defended himself. “Condense! Ice!” While controlling a piece of Frostrampart that was acting as a s.h.i.+eld, he stepped a few steps back, saying, “Anyone who died at the Snow Domain is free to curse at me if they came back. Just not you!”

Boom!

Listening to the words Qin Ruo spouted, Wildfire Bro kept quiet and had a somber expression on his face. Pieces of the Frostrampart flew all around as he shattered it with Cross Slash. Then, once again, he charged straight at Qin Ruo…

The audience watched the ongoing battle with excitement and astonishment. Why did the Tier 4 Aquamancer waste his breath on talking to his opponent at such critical timing? It was a wonder. Did he not see that his words would just be in vain as it put him in a most disadvantaged disposition?

Burning Rose and the other two ladies were no different. With all the tension on the battleground, how did Qin Ruo remain so calm that he could actually talk smack with his rival?

Unlike the others, Slayer's Heart and Violet Orchid could see the scene that was unfolding before them. With victory already within grasp, Qin Ruo moved with no haste. In the midst of crowd confusion, the two locked eyes and saw the same glint of bewilderment in each other.

He was truly a genius!!

If purely basing his level on actual numbers, Qin Ruo should still be a new Tier 4 beginner, with less than twenty-four hours into his new Tier in fact… As a Tier 3 before this, he had had a battle with a Tier 4 Radiant Priest. And now, he was up against a Tier 4 Warrior. How did he have the confidence? How could he keep up when he had not touched on his Tier 4 abilities, but only activated his Tier 2 Aquabarrier and Tier 1 Elementalism?

This guy was certainly a sly one!

*Boom!!!*

With an explosive attack, Wildfire Bro smashed the Frostrampart to smithereens, and was about to charge once more toward Qin Ruo, but came to a halt. Qin Ruo was nowhere to be found. What stood before him was not Qin Ruo who he had thought was not far off, but a whole battleground of ice and snow.

With panic eating away at his heart, something shook him out of his trance.

“Wildfire Bro! He has entered the range! Be careful!”

Before the last sentence was even complete, surrounding players roared in anger at the little brat who had dared to interfere with the fight.

“F*ck! Who is the shouting moron?”

“Motherf*cker! Don't you know the rules?!”

“Do you want to f*cking die?!”

Pale in the face, the little brat tried to hide but to no avail. All he could do was try to make himself smaller to appear less of a provoker and silence himself.

However, because of those words, Wildfire Bro finally understood Qin Ruo's plan and confusion no longer blinded him. Accompanied by a loud outcry, a magnificent piece of axe the color of blood sprouted from within the field of ice and snow. As effective as it was red, it quickly grew and spread all over the once white battleground. It was the Blood Drain Barrage!

Seeing that, Violetmoon Devilite and the rest started throwing criticisms at him relentlessly.

“Shameless fool!”

Despite all that, no one had heard Qin Ruo's voice since his apparent provocation earlier. With hearts beating almost all too quickly, the audience waited. And sure enough, they soon heard sounds of dull objects clas.h.i.+ng against each other echoing from within the battlefield…

In no time, the layer of ice and snow slowly disappeared, revealing two shadows flying at each other from opposite directions!

Unable to see the situation clearly, all they could hear were the attacks…

“Ice!”

“Spike!”

Noticing the incompletion of his Blood Drain Barrage was caused by several Frost Arrows, Wildfire Bro suddenly realized that the ice spikes on the ground were fusing to form a Darkfrost Sting that was getting increasingly cold by the second!

What the f*ck!

Before he even had the time to consider the crazy speed of his opponent casting a Tier 4 Magic Attack right after a Tier 2 one without much delay, his eyes laid upon the completed Darkfrost Sting that was already being shot at his direction…

The multiple Tier 2 Frost Arrows launched at him earlier had taken a big blow on him, causing more than 300 Damage. And now it was Tier 4 Magic. One could only imagine how ma.s.sive of an attack it was. Wildfire Bro screamed in agony as blood spewed from his waist like a hydrant and he froze down to his toes.

“Do you still want to fight?”

Qin Ruo asked the Berserker while he stood slightly more than ten meters away. He neither moved forward nor backward, but just stood in place as he used Transfiguration to create two levitating Frost Lances above Wildfire Bro.

Unaware of the two Frost Lances, Wildfire Bro spoke the moment he could move again…

“Cut the c.r.a.p!”

Bellowing the words out in indignation, he cursed under his breath and he promptly gulped down a big bottle of Healing Potion. Without giving the potion enough time to take full effect, he lifted his axe and accelerated toward Qin Ruo. He had obviously not recovered from his oh-so-recent devastating loss. Would he be able to do anything?

At that moment, the observers started with their yelling again. In spite of his condition that the Aquamancer would always be the one to make the first move, Wildfire Bro had gone back on his word in his unrelenting pursuit of winning, demonstrating how much he was unwilling to admit defeat in plain sight for everyone to see. How brazen of him. Even Tier 2 beginners were able to see how much of a gap in power the two players had. Had Qin Ruo really wanted to kill him, Wildfire Bro would not have been able to last this long!

His response came to no surprise to Qin Ruo. Knowing that he was the kind of player who could easily trick others and would not bat an eyelid in times of breaking promises, it was not hard to believe that that was exactly what he was doing…

‘So you thought that a Beastblood Berserker with almost 1,000 HP remaining would not die?'

“As you wis.h.!.+”

With that, the two Frost Lances plunged into Wildfire Bro's abdomen and thigh. In an instant, Wildfire Bro lost his momentum!

What followed soon after was the second Tier 4 spell that had been cast earlier…

“Snow Eagle Dive!”

As Qin Ruo's voice reverberated across the sky, a clear shriek of an eagle came as a reply! A pure white snow eagle soared high up in the sky, emerging like a being from the heavens!

“… Don't kill him!!”

“He doesn't have much HP left!”

Desperate voices filled the air among the crowd. But it was too late. No one could stop the snow eagle as it swooped down from the sky with its majestic wings!
