s.h.i.+ Ze’s laughter got louder and louder such that even the servers and boss of the restaurant had gathered out of the shop, watching in fear.

Frowning in frustration, Lu Yanchen’s grip on s.h.i.+ Ze’s neck intensified.

Instantly, s.h.i.+ Ze retracted his smirk and glared at Lu Yanchen with a steely expression. “Lu Yanchen, why, you wanna kill me? Aren’t you the type that hates people who break the laws as such the most? Aren’t you some righteous advocate of justice? Why? Even YOU want to kill someone now?”

Lu Yanchen’s face was still calm and cold. However, the veins on his hand that was choking s.h.i.+ Ze were popping up.

s.h.i.+ Ze could barely breathe anymore by now as his face flushed red. Gasping out Lu Yanchen’s name, he struggled with every single syllable as though every single breath might be his last.

s.h.i.+ Guang stood at the side watching with a pounding heart, breaking out in cold sweat.

She could tell from Lu Yanchen’s murderous intent that he was about to murder s.h.i.+ Ze soon. Immediately, she grabbed his hand. “Lu Yanchen, no…! Absolutely no.”

He looked at her, calming down a fair bit.

Suddenly, he relinquished his grip as s.h.i.+ Ze’s body slid down against the wall onto the ground. He gasped for breath furiously while his chest heaved up and down; his expression was pale as a sheet, looking extremely feeble.

Lu Yanchen tidied his clothes slowly before towering over s.h.i.+ Ze and scoffing out coldly. “Usually, only wimps would choose to resort to murder to solve their own issues.”

Even though his tone was indifferent, it hit s.h.i.+ Ze where it hurt the most.

Instantly, the latter’s face turned even worse, looking as though he was just whisked out of the drains by someone. He glared at Lu Yanchen with malice. “Without the Lu Family, you’re worth sh*t!”

His father had murdered someone, and he himself had tried to murder Lu Yanchen. In the eyes of Lu Yanchen, he was nothing more than a wimp.

That was something absolutely intolerable for s.h.i.+ Ze.

Since he was young, he had never thought of himself to be inferior to Lu Yanchen in any way. However, in the eyes of everyone else, they would always think that the latter was more exceptional.

Lu Yanchen laughed coldly and mocked, “if not because your mother is a relative of the Shens, your father would not have married her! Without the Lus, your s.h.i.+ Family would amount to nothing either! With that, he turned around, ignoring s.h.i.+ Ze entirely thereafter.

Glaring at the leaving back view of s.h.i.+ Guang and Lu Yanchen, s.h.i.+ Ze roared, “LU YANCHEN! ONE OF THESE DAYS, I’LL MAKE YOU REGRET EVERYTHING THAT YOU’VE DONE BACK THEN!”

As s.h.i.+ Guang sat in the car, she turned around and looked at s.h.i.+ Ze one final time before Lu Yanchen drove off. He was slumped on the ground, leaning against the wall and laughing maniacally.

That image had her feeling extremely uneasy. She then looked at Lu Yanchen beside her. Filled with a killing aura, he sped faster and faster such that the car almost seemed as though it was about to fly.

s.h.i.+ Guang was terrified, but she did not dare say anything.

Suddenly, he swerved into a desolated alleyway.

“AH!” s.h.i.+ Guang shrieked out, turning along with the rebound of the car.

Looking at her with a tender expression, he finally slowed down the car and asked her softly, “Are you alright?”
