The Great Worm Lich Chapter 150 - We Meet Again, Sage!

Even if the G.o.ds from the supernatural realm personally came, they would also be killed if the armed forces really made its move, especially with the terrifying US armed forces currently available on Oahu. It would be useless no matter how enigmatic Altman and Julinas were.

“Sir, here is your lobster set meal.” Just when Zhang Lisheng was lost in his thoughts, the waiter served the set meal that he ordered.

After the two-feet-long lobster was sliced, its entire body was placed on the plate of ice decorated with fresh vegetables. Along with its special sauce, it appeared to be very appetizing.

Sniffing the unique and alluring fresh seafood smell that had just been caught from the ocean, the young man said “thank you” before throwing all worries to the back of his mind for the time being and started to chow down, watching the magnificent afterglow seascape while enjoying the cool sea breeze.

After filling up his stomach, Zhang Lisheng ordered ten servings of medium-cooked steak as takeout. As he was waiting for the waiter to pack for him, he started to ponder whether he should look for a hotel tonight or sneak out to the outskirts of town to take another look.

As he was wavering between two thoughts, his phone suddenly chirped with a bird ringtone.

Taking out his phone and seeing that it was from Tina, the young man casually picked up the call.

“Lisheng, can you guess where I am right now?” Tina’s laughter immediately resonated from the other end of the phone.

Upon hearing this, Zhang Lisheng’s heart shuddered as a bad premonition rose in his heart. Nervously, he said, “Tina, please don’t tell me that you’re at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel in Honolulu!”

“You’ve guessed correctly! I’m indeed at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel! Hmph Lisheng, you’re really boring! To think that I was going to give you a surprise.”

“Listen, Tina! Leave the hotel immediately! G-Go to the beach, go somewhere crowded! The more people the better! Not only that, don’t pick up anybody else’s call except for mine for the time being! Don’t see anybody…”

“Mr. Lisheng, Tina is with me right now…” The voice Zhang Lisheng dreaded the most suddenly resonated from the other end of the phone, cutting her off. Then, he heard Tina taking back the phone and said, “Aside from Alice and her few friends, there are also a few beach boys from Kauai Trish and Sheila just made friends with. I’m planning to introduce the one who is pursuing me to Alice instead.”

Knowing that the situation had taken a turn for the worse, the young man sat beside the beach with his expression turning grave under the illumination of the beach light that had been adjusted to the most sentimental dimness. After a moment of silence, he suddenly said, “Is that so? I’ll go to the hotel immediately and see whether they’re suitable for her or not then. Are you all currently in the hotel’s lobby or restaurant?”

“The outdoor restaurant of course! It’s really comfortable here. Lisheng, you must have not eaten your dinner yet right? Do you want me to order a lobster set meal for you first? I’ve remembered more things about you and you seem to love eating lobster a lot.”

“I love c.o.ke too. Help me order a gla.s.s of c.o.ke, please. I think I need to calm down later. See you later.”

Zhang Lisheng ended the call with a grave expression. After the waiter had delivered the packed steak to him, he walked on the sand and returned to his car with the paper bag.

The instant he got into the driver’s seat, the aroma of the steak oozed out of the paper bag in his hand, tempting the Mastiff crouching obediently at the backseat to push his head forward, with its trapped mouth whining as it pleaded.

Zhang Lisheng took off the big dog’s muzzle and directly tore off the paper bag filled with steak before throwing them to the backseat. “Eat! Perhaps my life will have to be saved by you later. Eat more! By the time we reach the hotel, I’ll give you another plate of fresh water and remember, you must do everything that I say after you’re full, no matter what orders I give!”

The boy ridiculously gave a series of orders to the dog. As the Mastiff began to chow down the delicious steak, it also docilely barked a few times in satisfaction.

Together with the dog’s bark, Zhang Lisheng sighed and muttered to himself, “Human feelings are indeed as great as the heavens. As expected, human feelings are indeed as great as the heavens. Driving on the brightly lit street, the young man did not head directly to the Royal Hawaiian Hotel but went to the supermarket to buy a lot of raw meat instead. After casting the “a.s.semble” spell and controlling the millions of flying insects, he finally drove straight, cutting across three to four blocks, towards the Royal Hawaiian Hotel’s parking lot in accordance to the navigator’s directions.

After putting on the muzzle on the Mastiff that had eaten its fill, Zhang Lisheng carried his backpack and ushered the door to get off the car.

He walked into the hotel lobby and came to the front desk before asking the smiling beautiful receptionist, “I’m Zhang Lisheng who stays in room F0987. Is there any message for me?”

“Please wait a minute, Mr. Zhang. There’s a message for you. Your friend, Miss Tina, is currently dining at the outdoor restaurant…”

“Can you bring me to her?”

“Of course!” the receptionist replied before calling a waiter from the outdoor restaurant with a walkie-talkie. “You can go with him.”

“Thank you.” Zhang Lisheng no longer cared about the surprised gaze of the others and closed his eyes as he took a deep breath, before patting his cheeks with force twice. Only then did he follow the waiter who became quiet out of surprise. After he walked out of the back door, he stepped on the private beach dedicated to guests at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel.

The beach was full of people and was as noisy as the daytime. The hotel guests had spent their entire day outside and even though they no longer wanted to dine outdoors, they would sometimes come to the beach to listen to the folk songs and bathed in the especially cool sea breeze at night.

The waiter brought the young man to the outdoor restaurant, crossed over a few tables, and pointed to a table near the sh.o.r.eline before saying, “Sir, your friends are right there.”

With the help of the soft light from the restaurant, Zhang Lisheng saw Tina, Trish, and Sheila sitting with a group of people, having their dinner as they ate and laughed. “Thank you! I’ll go by myself. Oh, that’s right! Please get a plate of fresh water for my dog please.” Then, he pa.s.sed a five dollar bill as a tip to the waiter and walked the dog quickly towards the three girls.

“Lisheng, you’ve come.” Tina inadvertently saw Zhang Lisheng walking towards her and immediately stood up in surprise as if wanting to greet him with a hug.

“A big dog! Is this your new pet?”

However, at this moment when the map was obviously unrolled and the dagger was revealed, a delicate and pretty woman who looked like a bodybuilding champion suddenly extended a hand out to pull the girl back and pushed her back into the chair effortlessly.

“Tell your subordinate to not be rash, Sage Altman. See, I’ve come, haven’t I? We can discuss this properly. Everything is a misunderstanding…” Zhang Lisheng opened his hands wide in fear as he slowly walked towards the corner table and sat down.

However, Casdia is dead but you who were with him are safe and sound! On top of that, you’re not captured by the military. How are you going to explain all these?”

The h.o.a.ry Altman asked with a grave expression.

Naturally, Zhang Lisheng could no longer explain these with lies. He thought about it and made a few meaningless noises of “pst shh…” as his face turned calm and composed.

“What beautiful drawings on your clothes and face.” Looking at the sage from the supernatural realm who was wearing a hat, a checkered pair of shorts and s.h.i.+rts as well as the sorcerer who had his face painted with oil paint to cover his black and green skin, the young man asked back. “Sage Altman, how did all of you manage to escape together with Alice? Where are all the other prisoners? Did you dispose that Miss Ashley and Mr. Justice Kamil because they no longer have any use to you?”

“W-What are you talking about, Lisheng? W-Who are they?” Upon hearing Zhang Lisheng and Altman’s exchange, Tina, whose hand was gripped tightly by the supernatural realm’s warrior, asked in a dumbstruck manner.

“You don’t have to know, Tina. Sage Altman, I’m here now so please let those girls go. In our world, the war is a man’s game,” Zhang Lisheng said whatever came to his mind.

“Was it really you who killed Casdia?”

“Not to mention Efyrmin and Ovidiste too.”

“You’re actually such a powerful person! How unbelievable! Looks like you must have mastered some very powerful weapon, like the laser or supersonic weapon…”

When Altman was making his a.s.sumptions, the waiter sent the water to Zhang Lisheng. The young man immediately removed the muzzle from the big dog and let it drink the water as he casually remarked, “Sage Altman, you won’t truly understand our world just based on the Internet alone. Stop making your a.s.sumptions. It’s all because of this big dog that I could kill Casdia, Efyrmin, and Ovidiste!”

Upon hearing this sentence, the red-clothed woman from the supernatural realm who was gripping Tina’s arm lightly roared, “How dare you insult our Red Iron Nation’s most heroic warrior?!”

“Well, because insulting the losers is the right of the winner.”

“It looks like you’re trying to enrage us, which I find it to be very strange…” Altman waved his hand to shut the female warrior up as he carefully observed the young man’s expression.

The two of them talked as though they were talking in riddles, leaving the others confused and befuddled. Eventually, this made Sheila’s temporary boyfriend whom she had just met in Hawaii become irritated. “Sheila, dear. I really like having dinner together with your best friends’ friends who love to act but do you remember that we’ve agreed to sail at night together? It’s almost the time no…”

As he said so, this tall strong boy stood up from his seat.

Seeing the boy trying to leave, Altman suddenly ordered, “Kareenlynis, clear the irrelevant people away.”

When the warrior from the supernatural realm heard this, she replied “Yes” respectfully before punching the boy’s heart with very swift action.

The boy’s body went stiff as he fell back into his chair. With his eyes wide, he coughed out a few breaths from his lungs before he stopped breathing entirely.
