Lu Zhaoyang heard him stood up and quickly looked up at him.

“You two were the ones who invited me here for dinner, so why are you coming over here?”

That request for Mo Shan to play the piano was only an excuse for him to switch his seat!

Huo Yunting stood in front of her and nodded. “Move over a bit.”

“You should go back to your seat.”

Lu Zhaoyang inched closer to the edge of her seat close to him.

“So you want a hug, that’s okay too.” He bent forward and opened his arms.

Lu Zhaoyang knew that he was brave enough to hug her right then. Before she could react, the man picked her up in his arms and moved her further into her seat. He then sat down beside her and refused to move again.

“How are you going to explain yourself when she comes back?”

She dreaded this dinner occasion, but now he was making it even more difficult for her!

The waiter began to serve their dishes. Huo Yunting looked at her and raised an eyebrow. “What’s wrong with a brother sitting beside his sister? You’re overthinking.”

“It’s not me, it’s Mo Shan.”

Lu Zhaoyang knew the truth about their relations.h.i.+p, but if Mo Shan realized it too and were to tell the Huo family, the consequences would be unbearable.

Huo Yunting ignored her comment. He did not care what Mo Shan thought about them.

At the grand piano, Mo Shan saw the two of them sitting together. Her lips thinned and her eyes blazed with fury.

How dare he treated her like this!

This “play the piano for me” excuse was only to make her leave the table!

Mo Shan played faster. The music raced through high and low octaves, which the rest of the guests in the dining hall thought was impressive.

Huo Yunting and Lu Zhaoyang did not notice the change as they were still arguing.

“Lu Zhaoyang!”

A man cried out from behind them.

The familiar voice sent a shudder through her!

It had been some time since her gathering with her university friends. Why would one of them be here today, and why the man who expressed his interest in her?

Huo Yunting and her had been on the news a lot lately, it made it more likely for them to be recognized in public.

Moreover, Mo Shan was here!

Huo Yunting suddenly reached his hand over her shoulder on the sofa, but said nothing.

Lu Zhaoyang felt her heart skipped a beat. Her upper body froze in dreaded antic.i.p.ation.

Tang Mu chuckled as he approached them and took in the way they were seated together. “What a coincidence, you’re here for dinner too. Anyone else with you, or do you want to sit together with me?”

“Sorry, the table’s full.” Huo Yunting said he looked to Lu Zhaoyang. “Dear, what would you like to have, let me get it for you.”

Anyone who was at the gathering last time would not miss how Huo Yunting acted caringly around her. Tang Mu shrugged at their interaction.

“You two look perfect for each other. You should know, Zhaoyang, that a lot of the girls in cla.s.s are jealous of you marrying a good husband!”

Lu Zhaoyang did not notice that the piano had stopped playing by then. She forced a smile on her face, and then heard Mo Shan’s voice.

“Brother Yunting, who is he?”

Mo Shan stood proudly beside Huo Yunting, resting a hand on his shoulder.

Huo Yunting’s eyebrows twitched unhappily as he slid closer toward Lu Zhaoyang.

Tang Mu looked at Mo Shan admiringly, too shy to step closer toward her. “Hi there, I’m Lu Zhaoyang’s university friend, Tang Mu.”
