Lin Yazhi knew that there was a lot she was not privy to, but word had it that Ms Mo was the president’s fiancee. It was best for her to stay out of it.

Lin Yazhi was fully absorbed in her own thoughts when Mo Shan’s voice interrupted her.

“Do you know where Secretary Lu is?”

“Secretary Lu… I think she went outstation! I’m not sure of the details, though. I am just a scheduling secretary, so I don’t really know anything about the business details!”

“Outstation? It has been a week so far, hasn’t she returned yet?”

Mo Shan studied the young secretary’s face. The latter did not seem to be lying… and did not seem to be hiding anything as well.

The last time Mo Shan sent someone to keep watch at Lu Zhaoyang’s apartment, they were chased away by Huo Yunting in less than an hour. She did not send anyone else after that.

“It’s something urgent, something big, it might take a month!” Lin Yazhi offered randomly.

She did not know when Lu Zhaoyang would return, so it was best to estimate longer.

“I see…”

Mo Shan smiled and nodded. The elevator door opened and she stepped outside.

Lin Yazhi watched her leave and narrowed her eyes. Ms Mo seemed to be quite interested in Sister Zhaoyang.

Mo Shan entered Huo Yunting’s office and found him resting his head on his desk as though he was asleep.

She tiptoed closer, put the thermos down on his desk, and then studied his unusually peaceful and handsome face.

She could not understand why he failed to appreciate her, for the outstanding woman that she was and opted to be with Lu Zhaoyang, despite how immoral and even incestuous the relations.h.i.+p was.

Now that Lu Zhaoyang was not here, Brother Yunting’s temper became volatile. Perhaps Lin Yazhi was wrong about Lu Zhaoyang going outstation.

Mo Shan moved closer and closer to Huo Yunting.

Suddenly, the man’s eyes opened. Dark pupils looked stared back dangerously at her.

She felt a sudden chill and quickly straightened herself.

“Err… Brother Yunting, I was checking to see if you’re awake.”

Huo Yunting had been asleep, but the annoying aura that approached him woke him up.

He turned his head left and right to loosen his stiff neck and then sat back on lazily his chair. “Why are you here again?”

She had been visiting his office everyday like an actual employee.

“Brother Yunting, I made you soup to help with any side effects from getting drunk last night. Try it while it’s still warm, it is good for your body.”

Mo Shan walked to other side of his desk opposite him.

Huo Yunting looked at the thermos and smiled. “I should remind you that I do not like having someone following my every move.”

Mo Shan paused in her movement for awhile, but then continued to pour out a bowl of soup and presented it carefully to him.

“Try it, I think it’s delicious. Dad likes to drink this after he had too much alcohol.”

Huo Yunting refused to give in. “He may like it, but I may not. Take it away.”

“Don’t be stubborn, Brother Yunting, you must have a bad headache right now. The soup will help you.”

She continued to persuade him and even scooped a spoonful.

She walked around the desk again to get closer to him.

“Come, just try a mouthful.”

Abruptly, Huo Yunting hurled the mouse in his hand against his desk and stood up.

“Are you done? Get out!”
