“He what? Where did he go?”

“I dunno. He’s an adult. One with a rather complicated background too. Perhaps he found here too dangerous for him to stay. Don’t worry. If he could survive the incident in the past, he could survive anything.”

“You are driving now. Can you be more cautious? I don’t want to end up like them.” Zhaoyang was referring to Yan Se and Lu Bai who both got into the hospital as they drove carelessly.

The car then stopped by the other gate in the area, the one leading to the underground carpark. It was rare for him to park his ride there.

Lu Zhaoyang, with her fingers rigidly unfastening her seatbelt, backed away as the beast pressed his face towards hers, “What are you going to do?”

“Right, whatever you know, probably Huo Li knows too. I’ll ask him instead.” Lu Zhaoyang let the seatbelt slide off as her hand gripped the door handle, “Open the door. Huo Yunting.”

Inside the elevator, the man approached her again. She remained still as her eyes looked upon the security camera above them. Her index finger pointed at it a few times.”It’s just for decorative purposes,” he said as his hands rubbed upon her waist greedily. He had asked his man to uninstall those irritating cameras before.

Lu Zhaoyang, having her body straightened, immediately seized his hands.

“You haven’t told me why they aimed for Bai. Is it not merely because of the fact that he was a member of a terrorist organization?”

“He’s the son of the former leader.”

“To get rid of the group—for good?” It sounded plausible as a way to completely unroot the threat.

Still! Even if Lu Bai ever wanted to revive his family business, he would have done it. I mean, with the time and money he has, he would have launched quite a sizable organization by now.

She shook her head with such thoughts, “I don’t think Bai is that kind of person. Can’t the world spare him a chance to turn over a new leaf?”

The elevator beeped.

“It won’t help the more you know, Zhaoyang,” said Huo Yunting, withdrawing his hands as he walked out of the elevator.
