Gu Jinzhi’s ever-so-calm expression cracked as his cheek shook and his brows furrowed into complete fury. He turned to glare at Huo Chen, “Don’t you think you have done too much? Even if you disagree with what Wen He had done, you shouldn’t throw away her heart like a piece of tras.h.!.+”

Huo Chen monotonously mimicked Jinzhi’s tone, “Don’t you think you mind others’ business too much?”

“Huo Chen, we fellow gentlemen talk things straight,” replied Gu Jinzhi fearlessly towards the pressure exerted by Huo Chen. “Wen He has done enough for you. Sure, you can turn a blind eye to everything she has done. You can deny the fact that she did them for you too. You have all the rights to give up on her but you have no right to ever emotionally-abuse her. You can’t even part ways with her in peace. I seriously wonder if you ever fell in love with her!” So many words he uttered yet none of them struck Huo Chen.

Huo Chen responded mechanically, “Are you done?”

“…”

Gu Jinzhi snorted as his expression turned withdrawn and colder. While dragging Wen He away, Huo Chen added, “She’s not suitable to show up in a general hospital right now. I’ll take her to the hospital in the camp. About the divorce—we’ll talk about it some other time.”
