“I don’t think there is anything wrong with our president looking after his employee.”

“There must be a story behind this!” President Du vented on Lu Zhaoyang.

“This story is none of your concern!”

Lu Zhaoyang spoke coldly but firmly, all the while keeping a standard smile on her face. She gestured at door and said, “This way, please!”

She led him personally to the exit.

President Du was obviously unhappy with the outcome of the meeting, but no one could change Huo Yunting’s mind. She, for sure, would not even care to try.

After President Du left, she turned to return to the office building when she saw a red sports car come to a stop at the entrance.

Mo Shan had visited the office frequently, so Lu Zhaoyang remembered her car.

She pretended to have not seen it and continued walking inside, but Mo Shan called her from behind.

“Sister!”

She stopped in her tracks unwillingly.

Memories of her abduction were still fresh in her mind. Yu Man’er was not perpetrator, and that left her with only one other person on her mind.

Lu Zhaoyang was happy to go along with her performance. She turned back and smiled. “Ms Mo, you’re here.”

“Is your brother here?” Mo Shan did not mind the formal greeting she received. She returned with a graceful smile and followed her to the elevator. “Your brother promised to have dinner with me last time, but you had to leave for Tokyo unexpectedly. He should be free tonight, right?”

“I recall there being a business related banquet tonight, but I think he will probably give it a miss.”

He was injured now and cannot take alcohol.

Mo Shan secretly thought that Lu Zhaoyang was trying to show off by saying that Huo Yunting was not going to the banquet because of the latter.

At the thirty-ninth floor, Mo Shan went straight into Huo Yunting’s office without waiting to be admitted.

Lu Zhaoyang watched her go. The woman was like an arrow, zooming in fast toward its target.

She returned to her own department and had only just sat down when Huo Yunting gave her a phone call to ask for two coffees.

After awhile, Lu Zhaoyang brought a cup of coffee and a cup of warm water to his office.

Mo Shan and Huo Yunting were happily chatting away as she placed the two drinks on his desk with a blank expression. She pushed the cup of warm water toward him.

“President, this is yours!”

Huo Yunting looked at the cup, and then looked at her with a faint, devilish smile. “Are you openly going against my order?”

He had asked for two cups of coffee.

Lu Zhaoyang looked at him in the eye. “Your forehead is not healed yet. Coffee is not good for you.”

“That’s right, Brother Yunting, have warm water instead!” Mo Shan picked up the cup and brought it to his lips. She persuaded gently, “You’re so handsome, we can’t have a scar on you now!”

Mo Shan studied Huo Yunting quietly. Who would hurt him?

She had asked him about it straight away, but he refused to tell her anything. Nevertheless, she could hazard a good guess.

Mo Shan’s eyes turned toward Lu Zhaoyang, who was standing straight with a detached expression on her face.

“Is that so? Will I no longer be handsome if it scars?” Huo Yunting raised an eyebrow, but kept his eyes on Lu Zhaoyang.

“Being handsome or not depends on the person. If it’s you, I’m sure you will still look amazing…” Mo Shan continued as she moved the cup of water closer to him. “Brother Yunting…”
