Jiaojiao went up to pick them up. Her avatar then changed. She was forcefully teleported out.

Her Black Paladin Novice Equipment Set was now complete. To top it all off, she obtained a cla.s.s battle mount — Dark Charger!

With the Black Paladin cla.s.s job successful, her level reverted back to 1. However, grinding levels was a lot faster now due to high attributes as well as lack of level restrictions of the Black Paladin Novice Equipment Set (could be worn up to Level 80).

“We’re done here, right? I’ll head back then,” Li Yi took his leave.

“Why don’t you stay longer? I’ll buy some groceries. You should stay for a meal before leaving,” Xie Qin persuaded Li Yi to stay.

“No need to trouble yourself, Aunty Qin. There’s really no need…”

Li Yi’s mouth said “no” but he sat his a.s.s down. This won him an angry glare from Jiaojiao.

“Your mum’s home. I have no other intentions,” Li Yi conveyed the message to Jiaojiao with his eyes.

Xie Qin grabbed her handbag and headed off.

Li Yi’s words stunned Jiaojiao. Her face then flushed red.

Jiaojiao had a more fiery temper than her mother, she was dead set on kicking him out.

The middle-aged man was so overcome with fury that he whipped his hand out and gave her a tight slap.

“Worthless daughter!”

Jiaojiao covered her face as she breathed out the words through her teeth, “Are you done laying your hands on me? If you’re done, you can get out!”

“I have some matter to talk to your mother with. Don’t you b.u.t.t in!”

The middle-aged man shoved Jiaojiao away. It was then he caught sight of Li Yi and his face darkened.

“Who is this?” The middle-aged man pointed at Li Yi while questioning in an unfriendly manner.

“My boyfriend!” Jiaojiao answered before Li Yi could.

“Boyfriend? And how old are you? Not even 18 and you have a boyfriend?” The middle-aged man was furious. He stuck his finger at Li Yi and reprimanded him, “I don’t care who you are. Leave now! If I see you again, you can bet your a.s.s I’ll break your legs!”

“The one who should leave is you, not him!” Jiaojiao was not one to back down. She yelled at the man at the top of her voice.

The middle-aged man stomped his foot, “What a rebel. Lil Qin, is this the daughter you taught? Yet you’re a teacher. How… disappointing.”

Li Yi responded only with a smile in the face of the middle-aged man’s verbal abuse. He did not say a single word. Instead, he patted Jiaojiao in a gesture of support.

“Lil Qin, this boy looks like a thug. He’s obviously not a good person. How can you let Lil Jiao go out with him?”

“She can befriend anybody she likes. Brother Tian, I’m calling your Brother Tian out of respect, please leave. The day you signed the papers is the day we severed ties with one another,”

Xie Qin sat on the sofa. Tears were streaming down her face.

“I really regret my actions now. I want to change, please give me a chance, Lil Qin,”

The middle-aged man grabbed onto Xie Qin’s hand. She quivered but did not pull away.

They were married for more than ten years. The middle-aged man was familiar with Xie Qin’s character.

A sense of delight flashed through the middle-aged man’s face, seeing Xie Qin’s lack of attempt to break away from his grasp. He took the opportunity to sit next to her.

“Why are you still here?” The middle-aged man still had his finger pointed at Li Yi.

Li Yi asked in a low voice, “Jiaojiao, maybe should I head back?”

The middle-aged man ignored her and continued talking to Xie Qin, “Well, there is one more thing, apart from visiting you and Jiaojiao today.”

“What is it? Are we remarrying?” Xie Qin was overjoyed.

The man waved his arm, “Cough, remarrying is not a current option. It’s about Jiaojiao.”

“Jiaojiao?” Xie Qin’s face fell.

“Yes, hahaha, an old friend is interested in our Jiaojiao. He wants to match Jiaojiao with his son,” The middle-aged man took out a photo and handed it to Xie Qin.

Xie Qin had not even caught a glimpse when Jiaojiao s.n.a.t.c.hed it over. Li Yi too came closer for a look.

One look and the duo froze before bursting into laughter…

Xie Qin trembled, “Brother Tian, isn’t your current position good enough? When will you be satisfied? Why must you drag Lil Jiao into this?”

“What do you mean drag? Lil Qin, that’s not a nice thing to say. The w.a.n.g family are aristocrats. What are we? She’ll live happily ever after if she marries him.”

Xie Qin’s face stiffened. She gently pushed away from the man, “I heard that you’re trying to get in the Public Safety Bureau and have been looking for loopholes.”

The middle-aged man’s face went red, “Cough… It’s all about Lil Jiao’s happiness. My matters are not important.”

Xie Qin turned her face away and wailed, completely ignoring the man. He fumbled awkwardly until he noticed Li Yi, an easy target to take his anger out on. He stuck his finger up at Li Yi’s nose, “Didn’t you hear me when I told you to scram? Don’t want to? Well, you forced me to this even though I asked you nicely!”

He whipped out his phone and about three minutes later, five policemen barged in.

“Handcuff this rapist here!”

The middle-aged man pointed at Li Yi.
