MMO: Pierce Heaven Til' It Breaks Chapter 417 - Leveling via a Bug Exploit

There was an obscure spot behind the Sea G.o.d’s Palace which laid a holy ground of the Naga Tribe called Naga Altar. Even the weakest Naga that came out of there were Elites, and with their huge numbers and high ATK stats, anyone who entered unprepared would perish even if they were at Level 100.

There was only one entrance to Naga Altar, but there were three hundred or so female Nagas guarding it. If one intended to force their way through, they would at the very least need to bring a huge army with them. However, if they were to do so, it would startle the monsters within Naga Altar, and make grinding monsters within it hard.

Using Beast Soul’s Possession, Li Yi turned himself into a River Crab, the new name he gave Ghost Crab, and swam towards the entrance of Naga Altar.

The female Nagas were Wizards at birth. They had a huge attack range and viewing range. A flock of Neutral crab monsters that had their names in yellow color would line up to make their way into the altar every hour. This action was determined by the system, and within this period, the female Nagas that guarded the entrance would turn a blind eye towards these neutral crab monsters.

The only way to enter the altar without alerting the Nagas was by turning into a crab.

The stats of the Ghost Crab were pretty good, and despite only having two special skills, both of them had their practical uses. For instance, although Invisibility had a time limit, its effect was less noticeable compared to Stealth. The probability of being spotted by enemies was very low. On top of that, Killing Grip was a strong CC, which was considered a High-level skill among the pets.

If one were to talk about the Ghost Crab’s shortcoming, that would be its lack of any ‘Charge’ skills.

Li Yi trailed behind the Neutral crabs and activated Invisibility for extra a.s.surance. He made his way into Naga Altar effortlessly.

There were plenty of small monsters within Naga Altar, and all of them were Elites. Li Yi had come here numerous times before in his previous life. He also leveled up here when he was being persecuted back then.

As he was well-versed with the area, he scampered into a small pa.s.sageway and reached the spot for leveling up in no time.

It was a small room and ten or so female Nagas were chattering excitedly inside. These Nagas were his prey.

Although female Nagas looked much better than their male counterparts, their skin was no different than those of sharks. Their skins were rough and tough, which was a far cry from Mermaid Princess’s soft and luscious skin.

The ten or so female Nagas before him each had four limbs, a tell-tale sign of High-level Nagas. The more limbs they had, the greater their strength. For example, the queen of the Nagas had six limbs.

After he returned into his original form, Li Yi pulled out the friend summoning tool and began to form his party.

The four ladies, Jiaojiao, Little Elf from the Magical Realm, Xu Man, and Xu Yue were pulled over.

Fire Ice had logged out to study. There was no way she would be left out otherwise.

The objective of calling the girls over was pretty simple which was to level up together. The EXP gained here was much higher than what they would earn on the Giant Ant Plain. That was of course if they knew how to exploit the bug.

“Don’t move, I’ll start bugging them. Clan Master Jiao, once you hear my signal, use Death’s Grasp to drag over the Skeleton Monsters immediately.”

While he explained, Li Yi marked one of the female Nagas with a skeletal icon.

He then turned into Violent Bear King and used Berserk Charge to reach the female Naga standing closest to the entrance. He then returned into his original form and ran out of the room.

“Chacha yi, igo sina!”

The female Nagas were now enraged, but they were unable to see Li Yi who had already run out of the room due to the point of their views. As a result, they were unable to use magic to attack and could only chase after him with their staffs.

“Clan Master Jiao, now!”

“Death’s Grasp!”

Jiaojiao stretched her slender hands and pulled the female Naga that was marked with the skeletal icon to her side.

“Don’t kill her, just tank her blows.”

Li Yi had lured the nine female Nagas away.

There was another small room not far from the small room they were originally in. The only difference was that there were no small monsters inside. After making his way there, he waited until the nine female Nagas had entered the room before faking his death there.

Out of the nine female Nagas, eight of them stood rooted on the spot. However, one of them stood too close to the entrance and was not trapped. Soon after, she ran back to where she came from.

“F*ck!”

Li Yi cursed, and he bore the magic of the eight female Nagas as he hurriedly launched attacks towards the female Naga. At the same time, he also summoned Violent Bear King.

Since Violent Bear King was a creature on the land, it could not hold out long underwater. It would be forcefully dispelled otherwise. Naturally, Li Yi only called it out to cast ‘Protection’ and not to fight.

“Violent Bear’s Protection!”

Li Yi’s HP soared past 30,000 in an instant. This enabled him to hold out against the vicious barrage of the female Nagas and lured back the escaped Naga.

Li Yi activated the newly installed Flame Ejectors on his Flame Dragon Sabatons and dashed out of the room. Before the nine female Nagas even had the chance to respond, he had activated another special skill of the shoe, Flame Dragon’s Battle Howl!

Li Yi stomped the ground once. Shockwaves rippled from below his feet and spread outwards to the surroundings.

“Cras.h.!.+”

The nine female Nagas were flung into the innermost part of the small room, and Li Yi used Camouflage hurriedly.

The nine female Nagas laid there unmoving. Li Yi let out a sigh of relief. It was a success executing this bug!

When Li Yi made it back to his initial room, he saw Jiaojiao standing there taking on the female Naga’s a.s.sault.

Now that Jiaojiao had regained her levels, her HP without any buffs was at 20,600 which meant that she had no trouble being the main tank. What was more, they had Little Elf from the Magical Realm who was an impressive mega healer. It was nearly impossible for any one of them to die even if she did not respond to the attacks.

“Good work!”

“Perverted Wing, what is the meaning of this? I don’t understand.” Jiaojiao was perplexed.

“You’ll understand when you’ve finally become more artistic.”

“Get lost!’

Li Yi burst out laughing and asked Jiaojiao to stop her attacks. He had launched a few arrows to the female Naga and diverted the aggro back to him.

“Pseudocide!”

Li Yi laid on the ground, and she stood stock still with her staff raised high like a wooden statue.

Li Yi leaped up and yelled at the four women, “We can attack now, kill it!”

Since each Elite female Naga had 1,000,000 HP, it would take a long time for anyone to bring one down. Thus, it was best that there were 5 to 10 people in the hunting party which was the reason why Li Yi had brought over the four ladies over.

The female Naga died quickly after being fiercely attacked by the five of them. However, another female Naga popped up just 3 seconds after she collapsed.

“Unlimited resp.a.w.ns? Wh-What’s happening?” Even Little Elf from the Magical Realm was dumbfounded.

“Among the ten female Nagas, this one is the only Elite Chief. The system has decided that if none of the female Nagas have died, the chief must remain. Thus, we can kill her endlessly.”

“Is this a bug?” Xu Man was shocked.

Li Yi laughed. “Yep, it’s a bug that I’ve discovered on my own. No one else knows about this besides me.”

Since he had to hide from being prosecuted in his previous life, he had wandered into the Naga Altar by himself and discovered the bug for leveling up unexpectedly. He had then leveled up there alone.

It was tough to exploit the bug by himself as the escape skills of Thieves was not as useful as those of Archers. He had to spend three days just to execute the bug in his previous life, but now he could do it without blinking an eye.

Each Elite Naga yielded around 100,000 EXP, so they could still earn approximately 30,000 each after splitting the EXP between the 5 of them. Topping it up with the Guild EXP buff, they were gaining EXP at a terrifying rate. It was especially so when it would only take them less than a minute to kill the Elite Naga.

“My G.o.d…”

They had only defeated 3 of the Elite female Nagas, but the four ladies were already hopping with joy.

They were gaining levels at an unprecedented rate. It was hard for them to contain their emotions.

Jiaojiao was worried about one thing. “Say, Perverted Wing, will our accounts be suspended if we do this?”

“Hard to say.”

“May Perverted Wing bless us. If you want to lock accounts, lock his and not ours…” The four girls prayed in unison.

Li Yi’s laughter grew louder, and he shot his arrows with added vigor.

Discovering bugs within King of Pantheon would not result in account suspension. The exploiters would be punished at most. However, since the bug they used was as tough to replicate as the Wild Boar King bug which was categorized as a technical bug, the most they would do was to revise the bug once they had discovered it.

After killing fifty or so female Nagas, the ones that Li Yi had trapped in the other room began to make their way over.

“You girls continue, I’ll bug them.”

Li Yi made his way out of the small room and baited the female Nagas once more.

It was impossible to bug them endlessly, and it depended heavily on luck. If they were lucky, it would take one or two days for them to return, but if their luck was poor, it would only take two or three fights before they returned. In Li Yi’s own words, ‘This bug isn’t perfect, but it was only a half-finished product.’

Li Yi left the Nagas for the four girls to finish off and shouldered the task of bugging them by himself. After all, they would still level up at the same pace as Li Yi would receive the EXP even when it was the four women who were fighting the monsters.

Their main firepower came from Jiaojiao and Li Yi, and the secondary DPS were the Xu Sisters, and Little Elf from the Magical Realm was responsible for their supportive buffs.

The best part of having a Sky Vagabond in the team was not their attack prowess, but the wide array of support buffs that they provided that made the sky as easy to tread as air. Since most of the buff that the Sky Vagabonds came with an extra bit of effect, having one Sky Vagabond in the team would greatly increase the damage output of the team.

Pretty Good Mood was still leading his men to level up at the Giant Ant Plain, and though his Scarab King was powerful, it was not suited for underwater battles. Otherwise, Li Yi would have called him over to speed up the farming pace.

Back at Dragonbone Waste, every major guild was advancing their attacks towards the Light Conference. More and more guilds’ skill levels were steadily rising. Most of them had already made it through Gryphon Paladins and were currently facing against the final boss.

There was one exception, though. It was the Iron Alliance.

None of their members were attacking Light Conference, and they were currently working hard at leveling up…

“Guild Master, Defiantly Tyrannical had just taken down the Gryphon Paladins, and the current number of guilds that have taken down the second boss is at 27.”

Pretty Good News sent over the latest battle report.

“Keep on leveling up!” Li Yi gave a simple reply.
