Onyxia’s spells dealt extremely low damage that only shaved off around 1000 HP from the Frost Wolf when Blizzard managed to hit it. With such a low attack power and a fragile HP, she would die very easily if she was not protected properly.

The quest would fail the moment she died, and it will be a problem to get close to Onyxia in the future. With such high stakes, Li Yi was very cautious throughout the battle.

This letter was written for Akna. Basically, Deathwing has extended his invitation to Akna the G.o.d-Devourer to come to Black Rock Mountain for a short meetup and discuss something called a Dragon Clan Improvement Plan.

Akna, the rare Level 100 World Boss, has her footprint over all four continents. However, she would mostly stay around the North Pole Continent.

Could it be that the reason Onyxia had lured him to the North Pole was not only to get him away from the city but to deliver the letter to Akna too?

The King of Pantheon offers a lot of freedom when it comes to quests, where the development of all accepted quests was largely determined by the actions of the player. Even when Li Yi has accepted such a problematic quest, his choices have led him to discover the secret behind the quest.

Li Yi finally understood what was going on when he finished reading the secret letter.

Li Yi did not go to fight the Frosty Wolf King. The Boss was too difficult to fight and would drop only materials and not equipment. He had no interest in a Boss like that.
