Li Yi issued the command. Together with Unending Unmatched and Golden Gun Cannot Fall, they attempted to pull out the screws from Spider King’s body.

There were three types of screws, red, blue, and white, but the three of them removed only one type of screw. The white ones!

Channeling bars had appeared above the trio’s heads. While Spider King went about its rampage, the trio held onto the screws and were determined to dismantle them.

Unending Unmatched and Golden Gun Cannot Fall’s channeling bar was displayed as 30 seconds, but not Li Yi. The channeling bar above his head was a mere 10 seconds, meaning that there was a 20-second difference between their channeling times. This was one of the many pros of achieving Legendary-level Engineering.

A white screw was removed by Li Yi. Following that, he spread his wings and flew towards another white screw and continued the removal process.

Before Unending Unmatched and Golden Gun Cannot Fall could even remove their screws, Li Yi had already taken out two of them. The moment they finished removing the screws, Spider King underwent a change in its state.

“Warning! Entering Decimation Mode within the next 60 seconds. Attacks will cover the entire battlefield, and ATK will be increased by 1000%! Warning! Warning!”

The surface of Spider King’s body took on a pale shade of red and it leaped more aggressively than before. This was an omen of it entering Berserk Mode.

The party was basically doomed once it entered Berserk Mode.

Li Yi removed another white screw and immediately flew off to another white screw.

They only removed white screws and left the other two types of screws untouched!

Time was of the essence and their task was highly demanding. They needed to stand still when they removed the screws, and at the same time, they needed to locate their next target. This was necessary as it allowed them to remove the screws non-stop.

It goes without saying that Li Yi was overqualified for the task, and so was Unending Unmatched. They were the type of players that performed better under pressure. Their reactions were quick and they made little errors.

Out of the three of them, Golden Gun Cannot Fall was the weakest one. Though his reaction time was slightly slower, he never committed any grave errors. Due to this, Li Yi considered him a trustworthy member.

One after another the white screws were removed, and Spider King turned redder every second.

“Warning! Entering Decimation Mode within the next 30 seconds. Attacks will cover the entire battlefield, and ATK will be increased by 1000%! Warning! Warning!”

Li Yi acted swiftly. His current HP had nearly bottomed out, and even with the aid of Holy Light Illumination and Breath of Fresh Air, his HP could not be recovered fully.

The HP of Archers were nowhere near the thick-HP main tanks. It did not matter whether the main tanks were Warriors or Paladins, or even Vagabonds, as their HP was always higher than Li Yi’s.

The party members avidly surged forward. Spider King was currently immobilized and was in a non-defensive state. It was the perfect time to strike.

The trio on Spider King’s back did not partic.i.p.ate. Instead, they were anxiously scanning their surroundings in search of other screws.

Though their party was composed of several thousand players, their true chance of victory rested in the hands of the three of them. The key was in whether the three of them could speedily remove the correct screws.

Although Spider King only had three types of screws on its back, one should not mess around. This was because they needed to remove them in groups of three, such as 2 whites and 1 blue, 1 blue 1 white and 1 red, 2 blues and 1 white and etcetera. If any of the screws were removed wrongly, they would end up just like Brother Windcloud Nine.

Did the closed beta players have an advantage? Maybe, but there were times where their advantage had brought about their downfall. The situation that occurred to Brother Windcloud Nine and the others was one such scenario. When a game is officially released, most of its content would undergo some changes. In other words, the strategy that worked then, might not work after release.

“1 red and 2 blues. I’ll leave the red one to both of you. Leave the blue ones to me!” While the party was busy a.s.saulting, Li Yi gave his commands to Unending Unmatched and Golden Gun Cannot Fall.

A minute went by quickly, and after the beating it took, Spider King’s HP had been reduced to 70%. During the short duration, they had robbed 30% of its HP!

Spider King relentlessly shot out its sticky spider silk. However, the party had already antic.i.p.ated it and had prepared countermeasures. Firewalls had already been erected by the Fire Wizards, and it completely shattered the possibility of anyone being entangled.

While Li Yi was removing the screws, a little Warrior named Temporary Rain, had for some reason, scaled his way up to Spider King’s back. From the looks of it, it seemed that he wanted to accompany the trio in their removal operation.

Before the battle had begun, Li Yi had already informed those below that no one was to act of their own volition. Though Spider King’s back was slightly safer than other areas, those on its back will constantly lose HP, and the HP reduction mechanism scaled with the number of players on its back. The Trio were already at their limit, and should anyone jump on, their rate of HP loss would be doubled, which would undoubtedly kill them…

Li Yi was so mad that he almost lost his breath. He immediately shoved his foot onto the punk and kicked him down.

Within a short span of ten seconds, the trio’s HP had already flatlined. The healers gave it their all, but even then, their HP could go no higher than 50%. Their HP could no longer be fully recovered.

That Warrior had almost single-handedly caused the party’s annihilation.

Li Yi had no idea who Temporary Rain was, and as such, the moment he kicked him off Spider King, he also booted him out of the party. Shortly after, Spider King swept down its claws at the Warrior and turned him into mincemeat.

After getting tons of its screws removed, Spider King’s movements had dulled drastically. It moved slowly, reacted slowly and it was like an old man on crutches…

Explosions reverberated through its back, leaving Unending Unmatched and Golden Gun Cannot Fall stuttering in shock. Had they stayed a few seconds longer, they would already be dead.

“How did you know that it would explode, boss? Could it be that you’ve already fought it once?” Even though he had spent most of the battle pulling out screws, he was still in the dark about what purpose it served.

Unending Unmatched gave a hearty chuckle. “You stupid or what? I’ve already seen through it. Spider King has three indicators on its head, and we’ll need to remove whatever color that appears. Once the indicator goes dark, it means that we should not remove anything else, and as such, we would need to hop off.”

Li Yi nodded in agreement. The colors that they had to remove was random, and the only way to know that they removed the screws correctly was by following the indicator.

Golden Gun Cannot Fall gazed into the sky and a moment later, he broke into a huge grin. “Hahahaha! As I said, this is too easy!”

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

The explosions were still occurring on Spider King’s body, and with each explosion, it shrunk slightly. When the explosions were finally over, it crawled out from its tattered sh.e.l.ls. Its body was now the size of a truck, and its HP was back to 100%.

“My G.o.d. Was our effort wasted?” Golden Gun Cannot Fall was dumbfounded.

“It’s too OP, how is this fair?”

“What a pain…”

“Motherf*cker!”

The other party members cried in frustration. Taking it down to 50% health was already a hard enough task but returning back to full health after the explosions was plain unfair.
