Upon completion of the quest, Li Yi did not return immediately. Instead, he patiently waited until Queen Sif spoke again.

“The invasion of the Demonic Tribe leaves all lives on the Pantheon Continent hanging by a thread. Hero, please set forth for the Elf Shrine and receive the blessing of the Elves.

The subsequent quest was finally out.

Li Yi followed Sif behind and soon, they arrived at the Elf Shrine.

With a melodious elven tune lingering in his ears, Li Yi was enveloped by a pure radiant pillar of light. This phenomenon went on for a minute before the pillar faded away.

After the notification from the System, Li Yi immediately checked his equipment.

Two of his equipment had been imbued with the Holy attribute, +2 on his broadsword and +1 on footwear. His other equipment received no changes.

Li Yi was feeling a little dejected.

With the blessing from the Elves, there was a certain percentage for an item without the Holy attribute to acquire said attribute. However, it could only be done once, and the chances were not guaranteed. Even if he only had his Orange Quality Bow on him, there was no telling if the Holy attribute would appear.

Hence, the more equipment equipped, the higher the chances. If luck was on his side, 3 items with Holy attributes could be obtained but bad luck could get him nothing at all.

“Jiaojiao, after Augustus’ done killing all the demons, quickly exchange a few words with him!”

Li Yi sent a private message to Jiaojiao and teleported back to the Abyssal Crevice.

In the early stages of the Demonic Invasion, the lack of the Holy attribute on players’ equipment prevented them from killing demons. Only an item imbued with the Holy attribute was capable of killing the demons.

The three human heroes, Augustus, Elenor, and Emperor Lan would individually launch attacks on the Demonic Tribe three times a day and after their ma.s.sacre, they would distribute a random quest to players. The quest was straightforward and mostly revolved around delivering a letter. Upon completion, the player would earn the right to equipment blessing. This was why Li Yi rushed to the Abyssal Crevice the first chance he got.

There was a quota of three spots a day and with players in the Invincible Continent numbering over 30 million, it would be a struggle to secure a spot if they were to find out about this secret.

“I’m on my way, delivering a letter in Blood Moon Village…”

Jiaojiao was on Augustus’ second quest and teleported to Blood Moon Village.

Li Yi took out his friend summoning tool and selected Gongsun Chuqian to drag here into the party.

“Once Augustus’ done killing the Demonic Tribe, immediately speak to him.”

“Alright.”

As there were only three chances a day, Li Yi was not going to let just anyone have a go at such a precious opportunity. Of course, those closest to him would get first dips.

“Brothers, coordinates 277554444:7866666. Gather here as soon as possible!”

While Qian’er was awaiting Augustus to distribute the third quest, Defiantly Tyrannical led several hundred men over.

“It’s Dark Wing, kill him!”

Defiantly Tyrannical spotted Li Yi on the map and without wasting another breath, went for the kill.

“Territory Release!”

Unleas.h.i.+ng Territory, Li Yi created a 40-yards golden dome that extended over Defiantly Tyrannical and his group before firing at will.

“Bp bp bp bp bp bp…”

Defiantly Tyrannical and his men were moving at snail’s pace, as opposed to Li Yi whose movement was quick as lightning, taking them down with two arrows each. It was not long before all of them collapsed onto the ground.

Defiantly Tyrannical released his soul and made haste in corpse-running. However, he did not immediately revive, instead, he stood near Augustus, patiently observing.

There was a ma.s.sive invasion by the Demonic Tribe, yet the King chose not to issue the King’s Order. This was peculiar enough. It was stranger still for Dark Wing to bring his woman to keep watch here, there must be something going on.

Augustus soon took care of the Demonic Tribe’s third wave of attack before distributing a quest to Qian’er, sending her off to the Foreignland Gate.

This was all witnessed by Defiantly Tyrannical.

Jiaojiao teleported back after completing her quest. Gobsmacked by the corpses scattered around, she ran towards Li Yi, “Lil Yi’zi, what is this Holy thingy?”

“A good thing to kill the Demonic Tribe. How many of your items have it?”

“Just one.”

Li Yi shook his head, “Too bad…”

Jiaojiao continued, “+5 on my weapon.”

“F*ck me!”

Li Yi gazed at Lord Disaster in Jiaojiao’s hand in shock. He had the urge to ram his head against the wall.

A +5 Holy Legendary-level weapon?

“It’s true, you can take a look if you don’t believe me.”

Jiaojiao sent a screenshot of Lord Disaster’s attributes to Li Yi.

It was written clearly, +5 Holy.

Li Yi was rendered completely speechless…

He had to say, Queen Jiao had Lady Luck by her side. Not only was the Holy attribute added to her Legendary-level weapon, but it was also an amazing +5. This sort of luck… was non-existent.

Jiaojiao blinked her equally-naive-as-Sister-Windcloud-Nine’s eyes as she pressed on, “So it’s good or what? Good or what?”

“It’s fine, it’ll make do,” Li Yi was green with envy.

Big-t.i.ts Qian was done with her quest but could not return without anyone pulling her as she did not know how to teleport.

Li Yi dragged Qian’er back and asked if she has anything with the Holy attribute.

“Yes, +1 onweapon, +1 on footwear, +1 on clothes.”

It was alright, it was an okay result.

Li Yi waved his arm, “Let’s go to Foreignland. There’s still another quest.”

With the Demonic Tribe cleared by Augustus, the Abyssal Crevice was safe for now. It was crucial to enter Foreignland to be one step ahead of the others and seize the first opportunity.

With the dimmed Foreignland Gate before them, Li Yi and the two girls sprinted into it.

After 5 seconds of radiant light, the trio was transported into a foreign s.p.a.ce.

With a b.l.o.o.d.y moon reflecting above their heads and soil as dark as night beneath their feet, they were greeted by empty land. Fixating their gaze ahead, strange trees with tentacles were swaying back and forth, wailing at times.

Jiaojiao nervously held Li Yi tight, “What… What are those?”

“The Demon King’s Tentacles. Once you got them wrapped around you, you’re done for.”

“Wrap-wrap around you…” Jiaojiao’s blood ran cold. She was not afraid of anything except for ghastly ghost stuff.

“Let’s not bother about that. How many Ancient Sealing Runestones do you have on you? C’mon, take them all out.”

Ancient Sealing Runestones were a special item in the game. There was a small chance of obtaining them when one a completed quest. These were locked onto the soul so they could not be traded.

Jiaojiao was stunned, “Yes, I have some, but I placed them in the inventory.”

Qian’er answered, “Me too…”

Li Yi summoned his personal robot. After an upgrade, this little robot now had a personal inventory function.

“Go and take them out.”

The trio gathered their inventory. Jiaojiao had three, Qian’er had two while Li Yi had five.

Jiaojiao held a runestone in her hand and tugged it to the left and right for a look, “What’s this thing for? I recalled you saying something about inlaying equipment?”

“Inlaying? Take a good look.”

Li Yi took a piece of Ancient Sealing Runestone and took a few steps forward before putting it on the ground.

Strange black fumes descended from the sky, descending on the Ancient Sealing Runestone, breaking it apart. From it, appeared a five-meter tall green-skinned giant.

It was a Green Demon Vanguard of the Demonic Tribe. It was at Level 110 and of Blue Quality.

“A demon is sealed in every Ancient Sealing Runestone, but they can only be summoned here. We’re here and so are others. The Invincible Continent, Fluttering Snow Continent, Ninth Continent, everyone is here. Do you understand?”

Jiaojiao shook her head but Qian’er nodded.

Ignoring Jiaojiao, Li Yi placed the remaining four Ancient Sealing Runestones on the ground to release the demons within.

Four Blue Quality Green Demons Vanguards and one Gold Quality Red Demon Commander.

“Fight!”

Li Yi raised his Orange Quality Bow and fired at the five demons.

Jiaojiao leaped up high and shouted, “Are we summoning them to kill them? So, they’ll drop equipment?”

“Thank G.o.d you have brains…”

“You could’ve said so earlier. I’m smart you know.”

Beaming with joy, Jiaojiao tossed three Ancient Sealing Runestones on the ground.

Qian’er too hurled hers. Five Ancient Runestones burst open, unleas.h.i.+ng the five Green Demon Vanguards within.

“Territory Release!”

With ten demons charging towards them, Li Yi immediately unleashed his Territory to curb their movements.

“Roar roar —”

The ten demons bellowed, trapped within Li Yi’s Territory light barrier but the speed of their movements was still rather high.

Jiaojiao lugged her greatsword to charge ahead, attempting an Instant Burst by exhausting six runes to unleash Dark Charge.

The same amount of damage in red appeared above all ten demons’ head, prompting them to switch their aggro to Jiaojiao.

Qian’er unleashed Meteor Volcano, dealing a similar damage value to Jiaojiao, but she played it smarter. She halted fire when she saw the demons turning their heads to her.

Li Yi did not have the time to charge and fire Quintuple Powered-up Arrows or hurl Hunt Targets. He was occupied with running around in his Territory, attacking with Instantaneous Skills such as Meteor Arrow.

Single attacks worth ten thousand damage was the most Li Yi could do.

It was not that his equipment was not any good but rather his Holy attribute could not compare to Jiaojiao, his damage would be higher otherwise.

“Roar roar —”

Green Demon Vanguards and Red Demon Commanders were proficient in melee attacks, but they had a high range. A swing of their mace could cover as far as 10 yards.

Jiaojiao did not have any trouble dealing with one demon but ten demons simultaneously were way past her limit, and she was forced to back down. In the end, she could not seize an opportunity to attack so she moved her long, lean legs to dash towards Li Yi’s Territory light barrier…

3 minutes later, the ten demons were stood strong without falling.

The HP bar was not visible above these demons’ head so there was no way of knowing how much life they were left with.

“Lil Yi’zi, when will these things die? I can’t hold on much longer…”

Jiaojiao led these ten demons for a walk but was worn out and gasping for air.

“Hold on, they’re going down soon, soon!”

Li Yi drank a bottle of Sacred Hope and blasted the ten demons with Overlord Arrow in G.o.d Mode.
